How many copies of a game can I trade in?
​You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.
 
What do I need to trade in an older console?
The console, power cable, av cable, and controller. Sometimes they don't care about USB charge cable but ymmv. 3DS XL trade would be console, charger, and stylus. Some have reported being charged a refurb fee for missing the stylus, but again ymmv (answer stolen from anarchyburger)

Does the Pro Membership B2G1 coupon apply to only games, or accessories as well?
The coupon applies to both games and accessories, per the wording on the coupon.
 
I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).
 
 
TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free. Typically refers to the coupon you receive when becoming Pro.
GCU/BB: Gamer’s Club Unlocked, Best Buy
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

I've gotten 7 still missing 3. So the tracker isn't that great and arguing with CS which transactions aren't being qualified over the last 8 weeks is futile. :roll:

Not stackable with other promotions. Coupon will be delivered to active offers within 7 to 10 business days after qualifying. Coupon redemption is valid between 12/6 – 12/12/20.

Lol. I tried using $30 coin on the Game & Watch as well, and it wasn't a qualified item (since it was new hardware apparently) - but it shouldn't have disappeared from your offers... maybe ask CS where it went? I always add all my certs to Apple Wallet so it has a QR code. You could also just take a screenshot of the barcode + code in the app. :whee:

Yep, and try as everyone might to say "I'm never going to shop Gamestop again!!!111" as soon as a good deal shows up, we're all going to mash that PLACE ORDER button and complain when Fedex doesn't pickup the package the moment the shipping label is printed. :twoguns:

 
All I know is whenever Fedex is involved with any package of mine, they go from point A-B-C-D-E-D-E-C-delivered. Just cut out the middle section and they wouldn't be a week late.

Can the $30 coupon be used on digital currency (PS Store, eShop)? I got my 2nd $30 coupon but man, I'm struggling to find anything in a store to use it on and anything I do want to use it on is disqualified.

I used the chrome mobile browser on my android and that's the only item I purchased. I purchased a $5 cert a few months ago as well that never worked. I ended up calling customer service and getting my points back a few weeks after.
 
Seems the 30 off coupon glitch has happened too a lot of people. When mines disappeared from my offer, it was due to having more coupons (game coins) show in the account. Two friends redeemed for more loyalty coupons and the 30usd coupon vanished.

I was able to get my 30000 points for my issue by calling in but had to wait 72hrs and do 3 calls to customer service.

Just making this post as a data point and warning to always use your reward quest coupon asap.

Damn Gamestop gave me back my full trade in credit for both COD and Miles Morales instead of doing it as a trade in and it deducted towards the $300 goal towards the $30 Game Coin.

Is this the $30 Game Coin? The employee at the store thought this was just a coupon for $30 off $300 in one purchase.

That is in fact the $30 game coin.
 
So I'm new to this game coin thing. I paid my copy of COD off the Wednesday before it launched. They said 24-48 hours for the award to appear. I still have nothing in my active offers.

I’m still waiting for my $10 Game Coin from picking up COD on Friday. I hope I get it in time for Hyrule Warriors release on Friday.
 
To any California people that traded in a console the last couple weeks, did they do a full test or just check to make sure everything is there?
 

Id rather not spend a bunch of time in store with COVID spiking.

Thanks, I’ll give chrome a try. I’m sure I already did, but will try again I guess. Customer service keeps passing me around and sending my request for points back to specialists that I never hear back from

 
FYI Game Coin does work on accessories; Used mine yesterday on a Shock Blue Xbox Series Controller.  The asshat associate told me that the controller does not work with the Xbox One or PC & I had to tell him to look on the side of the box that said it was compatible with everything.  I then had a verbal struggle with the associate justifying why I didn't want to spend $10 on a controller warranty. "You're already saving 30 dollars..."  :shame:  

 
I don't know if this has been mentioned before since it's a super niche issue but when I went to pick up my Pikmin 3 preorder and trade some stuff towards it, my 30% bonus applied but when I went to use game coins and certificates it completely eliminates any trade bonus and there's no way to add it back without an override. Now of course the guy I was dealing with was an asshat that pointed it out to me and told me "well you're basically only paying $3 for the game so I don't know what your problem is" when I lost out on almost $6 of bonus trade credit but whatever. Just make sure you do your trade ins before the game comes out so you can just add them all to the balance.
 
So I’m looking to trade in a PlayStation 4 pro and a few controllers. Are there any promotions (other than trade in towards PS5) that I need to be aware of?
 
Does anyone know if the 10 coupon for spending 60 works with the 30% off pre owned game deal for buying a new game? And does it work if your order is split between store pick up and shipping?

 
Well they definitely love me this week. Part of my order of ps4 titles from the 50% off any number of games glitch has arrived and all of them shockingly are in their cases with case art and such. Even a few have their extras like manuals, art book, poster and sound track cd. I have never had them send me this many games at once with all the stuff. Usually at least 3 come out of an order without original cases or bare minimum without case art. Or without the original case but has the generic case yet somehow has the original case art.

The odder part was the order slip only has 3 games out of the 8. Utawareumono mask of truth, so5 integrity and faithlessness and .hack g.u. last recode.

Still 4 more coming out of that order but it would be nice if all 12 games were complete.

I ordered the Game & Watch from Gamestop but I noticed that it says "Signature Required".  Not sure why they would require a signature for a $49.99 item when they have shipped me game consoles in the past with no signature at all lol...  Makes no sense to me.  The delivery drivers in my area don't even knock.  They just leave the slip pasted to my door and I have to drive 10 minutes to go pick up the package.  Annoying lol

Anyone else that ordered the Game & Watch see signature required?

I can confirm the $30 Game Coin did *not* work on PSN currency.

Anyone know what happens to the Game Coin impact if I return Watch Dogs to Gamestop?  I intended to play the game but never got around to it.  Purchased from Best Buy for $30 today.  If I return at Gamestop will I get $40 back or $60?

 
I still can't figure out how to apply a game coin to an online order... Doesn't say anything in the fine print.  Going to make things difficult come Black Friday time.

I returned Avengers after using my $10 coin and they refunded the entire $60 back

You will get back what you paid according to the receipt. I'm not sure if they will rescind the GC after you return it, so maybe try to use it before you take it back.

Thanks for the feedback. I did use them up already. Wasn't trying to be scummy on this and figured I'm ahead at least $10 either way. I'll do this and call it even with the the spend $60 and get $10 back I never got from Pro Day

 
Pokemon Sword and Shield for $38 pre-owned. Add cag16 coupon code to get it for $32 pre-tax.

I would do in-store pick-up to save shipping and also see if they have the real cases.

Thanks for this. My local store says they have 3 copies of each and this is a good way to hit the $10 coupon for spending $60. Plus they are $27 base TIV which is an automatic break even if I can't move them locally.
