The Geek Test

33.92505% - Total Geek

not being into Star Trek probably lost me a lot of points, and I also don't watch a lot of TV.
Only 15.38462% geek. Disappointing, I thought I would have scored much, much higher.
Same here..

15.18738% - Geek

Seems to be the average.

Hell, I wish I could've gotten a higher score.. I just like knowing things, I don't care how geeky or irrelevant they may be. Knowledge is powah!

Yeah, WOW! Lots of names from the past in the first 3 pages. Before CAG morphed into the giant Tokyo destroying monster it is today.

At 42.62%, I never really considered myself a geek. I guess learning to program and being into Star Trek at an early age doomed me to fledgling geekhood forever.

I do find it strange, though, to see any scores below 25% would be contributors to CAG, or even have a passing interest in videogames. Gaming must really be mainstream now.

Props to the test for the Jeanine Salla point. I had forgotten all about that ARG, probably because AI was terrible.
Only 20%. Surprised.
The test just seems to combine most all types of geeks, but the problem is no one will really be into everything. I'm more of a big computer/electronics/anime/video game geek, but really don't care for sci-fi novels, comic books, Star Trek/Star Wars, etc.

24%, geek. I thought I'd get higher, but my geekiness screeches to a halt when it comes to computer functions and repair. I'm a pop culture geek... (slightly surprised and amused my dabbling in theatre tech got me points...)

8.67159% - Poser

I am sooooo cool.

If having varied interests makes me a "poser" than a poser I am.

I was thinking the same thing. There were only few questions that touched on non-vintage videogames. My score would have been higher if current games had been included more. If not for my serious comics binging in my youth my score would have been even lower.

Not telling me something I don't already know but I did get a kick out of seeing Highlander on the list. Where the f*ck was MacGyver though?

Huh, guess video gaming isn't geeky. I scored a mere 8.3 percent, but mainly because I don't watch any movies (skipped a whole category or two, plus had no clue who those names were), hardly did anything that wasn't required at school, and go very few places besides work and home.

37.45387% Major Geek.

It's kind of sad how many points you get for just being a Computer Science major and how few you get for being a mad scientist.

15.49815%. I consider myself a renaissance man (even though I had to spell-check renaissance), of sorts. I like geeky things, but also sports, all kinds of music, from church music to heavy metal. I had fun taking the test.

I've got no problem scoring somewhat high - I don't look anything like a typical geek/nerd. I played sports in highschool for crying out loud! I am a bit surprised I didn't score higher though... lol
