Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

Looks like the IG Store added some new bundles.

The War Bundle: Praetorians, Imperial Glory, and Men of War (only MoW is on Steam; the others are DRM free)
The Guild Bundle: Aura: Fate of Ages, The Guild 2, The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas (all on Steam)

Not bad, although all the games in the first one have been offered in previous bundles before. Still, $2 for those three quality games is well worth it if you don't own them. Not a fan of the second bundle for $5. Don't know anything about Aura, but with the Guild 2 series, the one you want is Renaissance (I don't own it, but multiple reviews have said that it contains everything in the previous games in the series, minus tutorials).
I'll PM you to compare links if you let me know which direct downloads you have. I already have all this stuff so not like I am going to swipe anyone else's.

I'm pretty sure Gala just has one dropbox account though and not that they are generating unique urls for everyone or anything like that. I know the developer of Smooth Operators mentioned he noticed a huge jump in his game being pirated after Gala put it as a DRM free direct download via dropbox in one of their bundles. He made a special edition of the game just for Gala and that was the version being pirated.

http://heydeckgames.com/2012/11/29/regarding-piracy/
Ya that sucks. It's pretty sad people still pirate games, especially from a freakin Indie Bundle when the games are already cheap as crap.
Was there a bundle with one of the Edna&Harvey games?

Its in the current Indie Gala Colossus bundle...

This bundle was up on and off for a few weeks:

The Cargo Bundle $0.99
1 x Airline Tycoon Deluxe
1 x Edna & Harvey - The Breakout

http://store.indiegala.com/index.php/bundles/the-cargo-bundle.html

I don't see it as available anymore but it's been back a couple of times already - just keep checking...

You mean Groupees, and that's the second game, not the first one

Yeah, after picking up Rockin' Dead I'm sitting on all of them, too.

As to pirated versions of Smooth Operators, are they seeing the dropbox links being spread around? Or are they seeing the files that were on those links being spread around? I do know that GoG games are pretty popular in such circles. I'd expect DRM-free files from any source to be the same.

From what the dev posted, it sounded like torrents of the version made specifically for iGala, hosted on Dropbox.

Thanks Indie Gala for the happy hours. Unless they have some spectacular titles in their bundles going forward, i'll likely pass on all of these. THe majority (90%) of my IG purchases have been from happy hour.

lol... so happy hour ended forever, but then they had it again...lol... oh IG...just concede your bundles would not sell without a happy hour and move along.

Well crap, now I've got to rethink swearing things forever. It apparently doesn't mean what I thought it did.

Looking at that twitter link, I really think they meant no more happy hours for Colossus.

FYI, an "IG Swear" means I won't do this again for the next half-hour (so it's less binding than a pinky swear with no legal arbitration).

There was some rumblings in the Groupees chat room about supposedly developers and publishers being upset about the super cheap happy hour pricing or some such. I searched around and couldn't find a source though other than Gala's vague 'This is the last happy hour' twitter which they then went and contradicted by doing another one.

I don't know if there is something to this whole thing or if it's just Gala being Gala and people trying to speculate reasons to make sense of their behavior.

I wouldnt be surprised. Even though they sell a lot of bundles and keeps the so called 'average price' high, the devs/publishers must be taking a bit of a hit watching all the free gift bundles (we have no idea how many but imagine its quite a few considering buyers in first week get like x 3 (cant remember exactly how many)for BTA during happy hours) go out the door (i know tiny priced games but still it adds up)

I wonder if they know you can pay 1 penny to get DRM free games in the Humble Bundle, and $1 for the Steam keys, beats any Happy Hour discounts. Or I'm just wrong for bringing up Humble Bundle in Indie Gala thread? Sorry

I think the penny Humble and Indie Gamestand and whoever else does true PWYW sort flies under the radar because they aren't keys that are traded/sold/hoarded etc. Those are almost akin to sanctioned file sharing whereas the keys in some sense have more value. The cheap Steam keys could potentially take people away from buying the game on Steam or elsewhere.

It's true though the Humble and Groupees and even Gala themselves in the Gala store have some cheap bottom tier $1 steam keys even outside of happy hour.

So the developer of Smooth Operators, that was in Indie Gala 9, told Gala a couple of weeks back that he wanted to give all the Gala 9 purchasers a Desura copy of the game now that it is on Desura. Gala said they would get back to him. He seemed to think they didn't want to do it right then so as to not distract from their then current bundle (Colossus) and maybe after the bundle is done they would do it. Well the bundle is done. We'll see if it happens...

http://heydeckgames.com/2013/02/14/get-smooth-operators/#comments
Hey. I’ve talked a bit with the guys at IndieGala and said i wanted to give you a desura key instead of you guys downloading from them. They’re gonna get back to me how we do this. I think they dont want to shift focus away from their current bundle so this is likely to happen when this bundle is over.

Hey guys,

This is probably gonna take a bit longer since i haven't heard back from them yet.

But if you don't want to wait for it, here are a couple of codes for Smooth Operators on Desura. You just have to be the first to redeem! =)

Ah I see. That was me, sorry. I usually like to give a source when I mention something so people know I'm not completely pulling it out of the air.

Hopefully Gala gets their act together some time on this since distributing through them really would be a better mass solution than gifting or key drops, but much appreciate you for doing that!

The other option if they are not much interested in going back and modifying past bundles is maybe you can have Gala put the Desura version of Smooth Operators in a future bundle. They've repeated games from past bundles before.

Earth Defense Force is the standout in this bundle. I'd buy it for that alone, if there's a happy hour. Most of the other games were bundled before (not sure about Miner Wars 2081.

I'll definitely buy that bundle before the time is up. Miner Wars 2081 looks interesting but I am really going to get it just for Earth Defense Force.

Miner Wars was one of those games that intrigued me early in development but it didn't pan out to what I thought it would be. If this were eligible for a happy hour I'd be all over it but at $6... meh.

This is more interesting to me than the last bundle. Price is a little high at the moment, but if there's a happy hour (or the BTA price dips dramatically) I'll be in for one.
Didn't they say that Happy Hours were done for good?
Then they had a HH the same day, a few hours after that tweet.
