No it is a pop up in the bottom corner saying:

*Warning your computer may be infected with malicius spyware. BLAH BLAH BLAH. Click here to fix this problem*

and every now and then it is also linked to dating sites and shit, so I get random popups for dating sites and gambling sites on my desktop every now and then.
One of the computer at work had that... I could never fix it.

I think I may as well just defrag my hardrive or whatever, cuz I am sure this can't be removed, I may as well do it now before I put alot more shit on my hardrive. Right now all I have are the essentials, which I can get again, and just a few games installed.

Now just to figure out how to reset my hardrive.......

Was it really annoying? I had that and fixed it. I'll see about finding what I did to fix it a little later.

What website does it send you to? This is the clue I need.

I can't remember the names of the programs, but they are just some 2nd rate spyware, adaware, and virus protection. Then the dating site is like adultfinder.com or something.
Next time it pops up I'll tell you though, and that is the dating one cuz it just popped up about 2 minutes ago.

and the annoying part is it slows down my computer. My bros. was playing WoW flawlessly no lag or skipping at all, then the dating site popped up. He closed it then went back to playing WoW and all the sudden it is running like I had a 256MB ram or something. Basically it was unplayable. SO this pop up is annoying and it is slowing down my computers performance.

That's the Brady dude right?
Adrienne Curry is from here, so I guess he could've been here.

damn was just playing WOW good then got a pop up, and this one takes me to

www.pesttrap.com this is just one of the few programs that clicking ion that will take me to. I think another one was called like virus doctor or something like that. I just know it had the word doctor in it.

I just find it hilarious that it seems that the whole My Fair Brady or what ever its called, is all that is giving them publicity.

Don't get me started on Flavor of Love...that assclown seriously looks like a drunk ass ugly bitch you see bummin change from people to buy his next 40 of Colt 45 and a hit of crack

well just went back to playing WOW after the pop up and it ran smooth, so maybe that was just a coincedence that WOW was running slow then. Either way that spyware is really starting to piss me off.

All this talk about computers makes me want to get a new hard drive and a gig of memory for my laptop. I have a 2.6 ghz cpu but a weak ass 64 mb intergrated graphics, 40 gb hd, 512 mb memory.

Maybe I'm too used to it, but I'd reformat. It's incredibly easy to do and the feeling of speed you get from a fresh install is unrivaled.

Nice PC. Mine's somewhat pale in comparison, though I more than quadruple your HD (in total). ;)

However the next computer I get will be a Mac.

I agree with moxio I will be getting a mac later on down the road.

Since I can't get better graphics, ridiculous intergrated BS, I am just going to get around 100 GB HD and a gig of memory to satisfy my laptop. With the T3 Lines at my apartment I am moving into it will do fine I reckon.

My computer is fairly decent aside from my CPU (it is the only thing I have not upgraded in the past year). It plays most games at a high res and I think I can hold out for a couple more months. I want the DX 10 cards to come out along with the new AMD processors.

I did buy a new sound card yesterday, but that will be all I will upgrade for now.

do a search for smitrem and download it. I think this is at least part of it. They'll have instructions on any reputable forum (bleepingcomputer, etc).

700 WLW is in Cincinnati.

I like my computer and got a good deal on it but Dell hosed me with the HD and Graphics. They want $160 for 1GB of memory from them.

It's surprisingly cool today, ~88 degrees, compared to the past several weeks. It hasn't even reached 100 degrees. Looks like it may rain tonight.

Word, its cooled down a good 15 degrees from last week.
Has anyone used a HD enclosure to make an internal HD be a external. Would this work as an external HD for a laptop.
I have. It should if your laptop has USB ports (you'll probably want 2.0 ;))

Yep I have those (of course). Can you run progs off of it...I was thinking all my cds on it would lessen the load on my measly 40 GB (would be nice to wipe it and start over with it).

Edit: Sorry for rambling on about this: a 120 GB 5400 RPM 2.5" would run ~$110 (I guess they are compatible w/ any laptop)...a ~160 GB 7200 RPM 3.5" w/ enclosure would run ~$85

Keep registry in mind, but you can run most off of it I think.

What I do is I keep my programs (digitally downloaded) on my slave drive and/or external and then copy+paste them onto my primary C:\, then run them. When I'm done with the program, I uninstall and delete.

That's about right. I think laptop HD's are ripoffs, but I guess if you REALLY need it to be internal there's no choice.

That is a really good idea with the programs that way. I think I am actually day dreaming to much. I might just wipe my HD here soon anyways and limit my cd collection on my laptop (do I really need 12 GBs of CDs).

Yes. :D Does your laptop have a DVD drive? That's one way to keep all your music.

I have a DVD drive but not a DVD burner (only CD burner).

XM radio is amazing. I bought a home kit. I'm aware you could listen online for free, but I can take this to other people's houses. I have a "game mix" feature on my radio so I can listen to the radio and play uno at the same time.

90s channel + Uno on XBox Live = yes sir.

Well, normally we could rely on Sub for that, but, y'know, now he's got a girlfriend and stuff

hmm... i've got nothing good to play, so i decided to track down my Diablo 2 Discs to reinstall. And right behind it was Northland, a game that i picked up for $3, played for 2 days, then forgot about. Do i play Diablo, Northland, or Majesty, another favorite of mine that i also found in my Diablo 2 search?

Fallout 2! Fallout 2!;)

the rate my job topic. People started talking about how its not a real job, he needs to stop making threads, there are people who have done bigger things, and he needs to stop making topics about gundam. Because of this, he changes the title to "Lock/Delete" and its gone in minutes

Note: I was pleased with both Darkplace and Screw-On Head, Amazing. So SciFi will never show them again, naturally.
damnit, that's BS. King_Sprout almost reilizes everyone hates him, and they sweep the topic under the rug...
Dude the fucker is from gamefaqs, I think he knows everyone hates him but he'll post new topics until no one responds or everyone spits in his face. It itsn't like blade, snoodmeg, 3rd key, alucard and a dozen others that were easilyi forgotten didn't act exactly the same way.

The best was U2KTHAGREATEST aka "Tupac Shakur".

I was surprised that no one posted 3rd key's picture in his "what do you regret?" thread. I thought sevdust would have been there in an instant.
