Rocko, building your own computer is extremely easy. Hard part is deciding what parts you want. ;)
Yeah, I was going through parts yesterday from the build a pc thread and I was pretty confident in my decisions until it came to the case and psu. I have NO idea what I need in either of the categories. Other than that I feel I have a pretty solid idea of what I'd like.

I don't know what to do for an OS either if I build a PC. I don't want to pirate it. If that Dell disc would install XP (any idea if that'd work?) I could just buy another 7 update disc.
Yea, there were some generic shelves in there from the builder but i just tore them out (shouldve just asked them not to put in the first place, oh well)

The rails are on the studs in the walls, since everything is going to be pretty heavy once its all there. I got everything from Home Depot.
Any kind of rough estimate on the total cost?

I have legit keys for XP home, XP Professional and all flavors of Vista.

If you want one, let me know.

EDIT: I don't think they have the $50 W7 upgrade discs anymore though. Your best bet would be buying a copy of Vista for about $110 and you will get a free W7 upgrade disc with it.

if you add all the shelving together, its 90ft. So depends on how much you are planning on. My total cost was about $300.
I think PS3 and PS2 have the same outputs. Maybe I'm wrong. I haven't looked at either in a while. If that is the case though, I'm sure you could find one.
PS2 and PS3 component cables do use the same output jack... I'm using the sony PS2/3 cables Trakan sent to me on the PS2 now that the PS3 is using HDMI.

Ka-cow!
Just get a PS2 emu??tor on your new personal computer, dartbudge. The games will look a lot better.
Aren't they like full of glitches and slowdowns and stuff?
Get the 26" Asus monitor I have since it has component inputs, budge.
We can't all be rich like you Liquid.

I will probably get a bigger monitor or a small HDTV whenever my dad decides to buy out my half of the HDTV we got last fall.

EDIT:

Wow, those screens look nice. Especially MGS3. I will have to look into that.

I think I'm going to attempt to stick one of my 360 controller's pcb's into my HRAP3 tomorrow to dual mod it, if I can find a guide to get me started.

Rabbitt, have you seen Vengeance Is Mine? If not, I recommend it. It's a Criterion.

Now I really want Mishima or Yojimbo. What did you buy from the sale?
If there's a Criterion you guys passed up on... go through this link and use
V7P9T8N
as the coupon code to get an additional 26% off AND free shipping.

Oh man . . .
THANKS X 1,000,000

No, I haven't seen it. I think I'll pick it up now. Yojimbo is an exceedingly wonderful film. I recommend the Yojimbo/Sanjuro pack.

I'll post my haul in a second after I get a few more here.

My pleasure, h3llbring3r :D

Sean, I will, but I want to jump on this Criterion deal and then I'll dl it. Will you be around for a while?

Yeah, rabbitt, I'd like to see what you bought to get some recs. I have to buy at least one DVD now, which that extra coupon. I'm thinking Mishima, at least.

I was only going to be on for about 30 minutes or so, I just wanted to get a couple quick games in.

I finish work pretty early tomorrow, so I have a lot of time to play then.

Thanks again Rabbitt that coupon stacked with the membership discount.
Time for some celebratory L4D, maybe I can finish finally death toll; Last night the tool bags were throwing the pipe-bombs at single zombies and kept running outside the hold-up locations during the finales.

Finally home from a parent-coaches for the Junior Giants (free kids baseball legue) meeting that shouldn't have lasted more then 30 minutes. That had some cop talk about gangs, some dentist aid talk about oral hygiene, and some fat bitch city council woman sporting a fake fruit necklace talk about health. fucking unnecessary.

Is it just me, or did Barnes and Noble take down all of their Criterion blu-rays?

EDIT: This seems to only happen when I'm on the military version of the site. Bastards.

Oh, got it. Is the extra 26% code for one item or the whole order? It comes out to ~$16 for every 2 disc Criterion.

Here's everything I've ordered since the beginning of the sale, Rocko:

Seven Samurai
Charade
The Third Man [blu-ray]
L'avventura
L'eclisse
Army of Shadows
Breathless
Death of a Cyclist
Naked City.
Oh, got it. Is the extra 26% code for one item or the whole order? It comes out to ~$16 for every 2 disc Criterion.
It's for the most expensive item. Some people have had success using the codes multiple times, so I would try breaking your order up, since the link provides free shipping anyway.

I figured out how to get blu-rays to show up on the military website: simply go to barnesandnoble.com and add the movie to your wishlist.

Has anyone *not* been able to use the code multiple times?

Almost everything Kurosawa's done seems to be held in very high regard. I don't see the Yojimbo/Sanjuro set... I'm kind of leaning toward Mishima, Yojimbo and Seven Samurai.
