Not familiar with people using 'passed' in that context. Its normally 'beat', 'cleared' or 'finished'

'round these parts anyways
I remember there was a thread on here at one point about this. The most hilarious suggestion was "solved" as in I just "solved" Zelda Twilight Princess.

I was skimming the last OTT and, as much as I like having rare video games, I just can't bring myself to buy an inferior version of Zelda just to have it. I know I wouldn't want to play all the way through it but still for some reason, I feel compelled to get it....

I was getting weird looks around town, last night. Then I noticed my shirt:
I must have them. Too bad QotSA and NIN aren't out yet.
I'm totally buying the Bob Marley one. I'm going to give it to my nephew for Christmas but I just want to hear it to tell you the truth lol.

I'm surprised no stoners aproached you.

Same game, if you take out the 16x9 widescreen and wiimote control scheme. Well, other than the mirrored syndrome, since they forced link to be right-handed in the wii version.

To my knowledge, that's it.

Yea... it would have been nice to have widescreen, but to call the game inferior is a huge stretch since the two games are pretty much identical in terms of gameplay and design.

I can live without wiimote crap, as well, and now I don't have to pay $250 + $50 to play Zelda.

My biggest fear was that I would absolutely hate combat using the wiimote. That and not putting up $300 for a system I'm not all that interested in yet. When they release this new zelda they're talking about, then maybe they'll have my interest and I'll put up with the new control scheme... or maybe by then, they'll let people use a gamecube controller if they choose to do so.

I was considering getting a Wii and TP until they announced you couldn't use the GC controller for the game, only the wiimote. For me, that locked me into the GC version and took away the one game I was considering a Wii for at this point in time.
Not Ghost, I love Ghost. The list in general is :puke:
Phew, I was gonna say...

And I agree with the list, it's awful, but I like to see Ghost getting some love, especially for "Kilo" since it's such a good track.

The only interest for me in the Wii is the Virtual Console. As soon as we start seeing games in the US from developers other than Nintendo, Sega, whoever makes TG 16 stuff, then I'll seriously consider a Wii.

Basacially, it'll take the full on support of Konami / Capcom / ESPICALLY Square Enix to hook me into a Wii.

Square Enix pretty much owns the entire SNES catalog of awesome RPG's at this point... as soon as (or even if) they dump that on the VC I'm sold.

Brawl and Galaxy have my interest. So does the VC. But like you said, until we see more support and some of the greatest games put out on those consoles, VC is just untapped potential.

You shouldnt have to wait for a game to come along to bait you into "putting up with" the control scheme. If you dont like the controller, dont get the system. Simple as that.

If you try it out and decide that you dont think its fun, then its not for you. Move along.

Are you still talking about this?

Nobody cares. Go back to hating on HDTV's and online play.
If people stopped complaining about the controller, I could stop telling them not to buy the damn thing.
Not complaining about the controller, I think the controller is a good idea. I think trauma center, if people hadn't indicated it started to get repetative, it would be a great use of the wiimote. I think redsteel, no matter how bad the execution may or may not be, had great potential as a concept. Madden 07 seems like a nice pairing of controls and concept. But I'm not sold on the wiimote for a Zelda game, just like I'm skeptical of the control scheme for Phantom Hourglass.
Well that's sad. Apparently Peter Boyle died.
He wasn't currently in any shows or movies, was he? He'll be missed. I'm sure everyone loved his Raymond father character.

'round these parts anyways
i know. not many people say it. some dude in that one thread that rvb mentioned tried to give me shit over it. But my brothers and I have been saying passed since we first started so fuck it.

So, awesome, I check the MS Retail Site, my games went from in proces, to shipped this morning, and THEY ALREADY GOT DELIVERED! They shipped the 11th but the website just updated today

So Gears of War is going back to Best Buy for my $53 back since I have until Jan 24th to return it, but in all actuality I'm going to get a $53 gift card, get two GGC's, and grab Killzone and Vice City Stories for $25 each (on sale for $30) and it's essentially free since I wrote off this Gears of War purchase months ago.

Viva Pinata is going back to Rhino for $50 in credit, which cost me nothing but two shit games in my collection, so I'll use that $50 to grab Summon Night 2 and Yggdra Union, and then pay an extra $10 out of pocket for both.

4 games for $10 today and I barely have to pay anything!

Works out great!

He's in two more movies that are in post-production right now apparently. Shadows of Atticus and Chatham. He was also in The Santa Clause 3 it seems. I'll definitely miss him. He was definitely my favorite part of Raymond.

People around here say "flipped".

"I flipped the new Final Fantasy game."

And I'm like "the fuck?"

Makes me think of kidney stones.

I think as a kid, I used "beat" but nowadays I go for "completed" or "finished".

Flipping is when you buy a game at a low price and then re-sell it at a higher one.

I think you'll keep your EB job just for pillaging the MS Retail site for games.

I think I officially hate the number 5. I can't count how many songs I've missed 100% on in GH2 in Medium lately by five notes. It's really starting to get annoying,.

^^^ That's what it means to me.

"I flipped those C.C. $5 games for $15 credit each at Gamerush."

But my friends and other people say "Flipped" it means like they finished it. I dunno. Weird.

"So have you played the new GTA?"
"Played it?, Psshh. I already flipped it."
"?"

Oh, when you said "around here" I thought you meant people on CAG. Yeah, that is pretty weird you should probably punch the next person who uses flipped in that manner.

I believe "flipped" is a term used for when you raped a pinball machine. If you scored high enough on some games, your score would actually "flip" from 999999 to 000000.

Yo, CAGerators.

Apparently DS Lites are the hot xmas gift this year. Especially Pink. A coworker (fellow CAG too) is looking for a new DS Lite (Pink) for his daughter. If anyone can hook me up, let me know.

Thanks.

I'm hearing the same thing. A coworker tried to buy one for her mom for Christmas. Apparently, they are no where to be found.
