Boy, the OTT's been exploding with activity overnight these past days.

Da Bears! This is the slowest moving OTT I've been a part of.

Should I purchase Final Fantasy III or Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin? (for the ds)

Should've made that decision on Tuesday, when it was $19.99 @ TRU.

I wasn't sure if I'd buy FFXII, though for $25 @ TRU, I thought it worth the plunge.

Whats up, OTT?

Thursday is upon us meaning we have passed the half way point of the work week. Today, everyone slack off, come home and have a couple brews with your friends and then work your ass off Friday and get that paycheque nigger!

Same here. I felt that FFIII, as a remake, should at least be similar to the revered games in the series (FFIV, FFVI, etc.) where as the story/combat in FFXII has me skeptical. For $25 though, I figured I'd give it a shot.

Edit: Strange that the guy with the "I WANT TO EMO" sig is giving advice to "CAG's Resident Emo". Coincidence? I think not...

I definitely concur. I also plan on not working next week. I have friends to mess around with and sleep to catch up on.

That and the family could use some birthday presents too.
Today is my last final. I am overjoyed.
Awesome, congrats. Hope you do well in everything. :D
Thanks, but it's way too early for congratulations. This is not going to be a good year.
They're done with, and that's worth some congrats, in my book. Wait and see what happens next. All you can do.

As I have a GBA player, and picked up a GBA micro a month or so ago, I picked up the FF GBA games when CC cleared them out in June @ $8.96, including the day or so when they screwed up putting FF IV at $8.96. :D

FFXII seems like such a change from the other PS2 FF games, I figured, WTF. Plus, since it's supposed to look so good on the PS2, I wanted to see what all the hype was about..
I see what you did there!

Next week is my last week at UPS in the seasonal position but MTW are the bussiest days all year. Oh well, hopefully I'll rake in like 500 bucks next week. As for now, I gotta get ready to go to work .

Yea, pretty much. At least I get to go home Monday, all the way until January. Gotta leave behind the missus though.

Oooh, sweet. Well, we all know why I can afford to take a week off. ;)

Hope my dad likes some foo-foo coffee, my mom some yarn and my sister a pile of shit protective cover for her Mp3 player.

 Spent around $225 on four friends and maybe $70 on my family.
lol did I really?

I've been trying. Gimme a sec.

I thought I already told you to get NSMB? ;)

I'm enjoying FF III, but only 5 or 6 hours in. I could see myself dropping it if I get to a really tough boss or area and find that I have to spend hours leveling to continue. (Not my cup of tea.) Although since it's on the DS I can just sort of barely pay attention to the leveling while I'm watching TV or something. Still though it's kind of a principle thing. Video games shouldn't be a chore.

Castlevania: DoS was one of my favorite DS games and I'd imagine PoR is more of the same.

If I was looking at ~ equal prices I'd go with C:pOR.

Oh I know, but it's going to be weird. We've almost lived together for the past year, and this will be the longet time apart. Hell, she even came with me to NY back in August.

fuck yea! got an a- in one of my history classes. Wrote an absolutely horrible paper that accounted for 40% of my grade, which is part of the reason I am so happy. I guess he took into consideration that he made me change topics the weekend before it was due (even though he had an opportunity to voice satisfaction with it for two months). Talking a lot in class and always being prepared must have really helped out.

Hopefully my Civil War grade is something similar. I don't think I will make the dean's list this semester, but keeping my GPA high will help in working towards either law school or grad school.

wow, I totally botched this semester. as in, I might need to retake 2 of my classes so my gpa isn't fucked.

Haha, I had like a billion shitty semesters.

My GPA, after this semester, should be like a 2.7 which is enough to get me into USF, they only require a 2.5, and I aced every class I needed for my major (A or a B) which they take into consideration.

Once I get to USF I can pretty much start over.

fuck i dont believe i read all of that

i'ma need to choke a bitch. i picked up my old car from the mechanic, after it being there for a MONTH because of getting rear ended on the way home from work November 6th. not only did they have to repair it twice, because the first set of parts they got were bent, which they didn't realize until they tried to align the rear wheels, when i picked up the car this morning and the motherfucking breaks dont work. now i called them back, they sent a tow truck right over (i was only 2 blocks away) and now they won't even take my call to tell me what the fuck is going on.

Yea, I dicked around alot in college before I got serious, and it seems like that shit follows me wherever I got.

I've gotten A's and B's the last 4 semesters or so and my average is just now a 2.7.

I love how I think for the first case ever, I managed to figure out the case in Phoenix Wright before Phoenix did. I spent like 10 minutes trying to figure out how to use the evidence that proved it before I realized I had to wait for Phoenix to catch up.

Man, TRU's deals of the day suck. Other than the one on Tuesday.... today's coupon was "$20 off select DS games" so I said sure and printed it out.

Legend of Spyro, Pirates of the Caribbean, Snood, Ford Racing, and Guilty Gear... LAME.

Typical.

Mechanics should have the same stigma lawyers do.

i talked to the insurance claims representative, who apparently got a talking to because of the complaints against him that I filed. he's had a change of heart and is reimbursing me for my week of rental car immediately after the accident plus $15/day for the remainder of the time since the accident for "vehicle loss of use" at least now i'll be able to pay my credit card bill for the stupid rental car bullshit.

and at lunch i'ma go put my foot up some mechanic's ass.

I gotta write a speech on alternative fuels for my class tonight.

Fux.

Good... I've had to shop at TRU TWICE this year, back to back days, and I don't want another reason to ever go in there, espically since it was a fucking hassle getting Fatal Frame 3 because the employee HID THEM.

It's worth it to get a brand new Fatal Frame 3 for $9.98 though, but still. This employee was a douche, first he told me "That game is $50, it's not on clearance, I've seen the clearance list" and "the computer is always wrong, there are no copies in the store at all" and also "well next time call first because I don't want to look anymore (WTF?!?!)" then he just walked away WHILE I was talking to him and started flirting with some ugly goth girl.

So I went to the CS desk, got a manager, complained about this incredibly rude employee and how I *did* try to call but the guy NEVER answered his phone and also how this employee was using his cell on company time (which he was, I had to wait for him to finish his cell phone convo before he helped me... he was like "Oh, yea, I gotta go, I got some people who probably want something")

Manager says he will look personally, comes back with some BS story about how "The games just came in today, they were in a receiving area" and I said "Really, you really got shipped special clearance games today?" and the manager was just like "Well...no... but we found them". So I think the manager was just trying to cover for this guy, but whatever.

They thought I only wanted one copy, but I bought both of them, and when I go over and told the guy "Oh, yea, I also want the other one" they pulled it out from under the desk... I guess the special receiving area is under a desk now. The employee who was an asshole wouldn't even look me in the eyes and he had this angry as hell look on his face. Ya know, I wouldn't have bought both but this guy was such an asshole I felt justified at taking the deal out of his hands.

I made sure to wish him a merry christmas to which he replied "WHATEVER", just like that.

Now you can see why I hate TRU.

For performance arts sake, I wouldn't mind standing in front of the room and simply farting.

It's a group project, however... and I'm the "leader" who has to intro the entire speech, introduce each speaker and conclude the speech.

Maybe I can conclude it by mustering up a fart...
I made sure to wish him a merry christmas to which he replied "WHATEVER", just like that.
Nice. Reminds me of the time I wished some old hag Meijer employee a "Merry fuck You".
Nice. Reminds me of the time I wished some old hag Meijer employee a "Merry fuck You".
The thing is, I'm EXTREMELY nice to every employee, because I know retail is a drag and they don't need people bitching at them. My friend was surprised since every retail employee I talked to just opens up to me about their day, what games I'm playing, how Christmas is.

This guy, right from the get go, I was like "Hey, how are you, I was wondering if you could help me for a moment?" just goes "Yea, what do you want?" in this kind of sarcastic "I'm just saying this to be nice but you are bothering the fuck out of me" voice.

He was fuming by the time I left there, probably because I grabbed all of his Fatal Frame 3's. If he was actually nice and put up an effort to look for them, even if it was a fake effort, I probably would have left the store.

you should introduce the presentation with a fart. and each presenter thereafter. each presenter should just fart. and you should conclude it with a mosterous gaseous expulsion that borders between natural disaster and toxic air pollution.

Been there, done that.

I had one repair get screwed on my car that nearly had me killed, so I know what that's like when they don't follow through on the issues of fixing it.
