The only major news of the weekend is that Angle is out of action again due to his neck - he was taken off house shows and just did some autograph signings instead.
I'm 25 and first started watching in '93, after a friend of mine introduced me to wrestling via the NES WrestleMania game. The first show I watched was WWF Mania, which covered Brutus Beefcake's face being smashed by Money Inc's briefcase, an event that hooked me. The first event I bought was WM IX, which I enjoyed at the time, although I hated the finish, as I wanted Bret, my favorite wrestler at the time, to win.
After that, I got a bunch of tapes (including the '89 Great American Bash, and '91 and '92 Summerslams) and got ahold of whatever I could, which would late involve me getting some commercially-released Memphis and Mid-South stuff. The first WCW memory I have is seeing Johnny B. Badd win the TV title from Paul Orndeorff (who I recognized from one of the WWF tapes I bought), only to have it taken away from him in a Dusty finish - I found that to be intriguing, and made sure to tune into WCW whenever possible after that.
