Did you guys actual accept an open return because of suckage?
Yes, as a matter of fact, we did. I think it was a superman 64 only kinda deal though... mainly to prevent riots and the destruction of our store.

On the topic of game shopping, I was in Best Buy today when two little girls and their mother asked the salesman on the floor for a "gamecube connector". Like me, the salesman first thought that they might have meant gameboy advance, but apparently it was for their home console as they were pretty certain it connected to the tv. The oldest girl probably being no older than 7, I would be damn impressed if what they were looking for was to setup a lan with two cubes
There were two games I talked highly of to a customer today: Diablo 2 (customer was getting Neverwinter Nights), and Wild Arms Alter Code F. Both I have first hand experience with.
If I never played it I told him and then asked the other employee on the floor if he knew more about it than I did. (That was mainly for Call of Duty and Battlefield type games)
There are still people who need to know about Diablo 2?

When I bought my Xbox at Best Buy a couple months after it's launch, a very beautiful cashier (whom rang me up) kept talking up how amazing Morrowind was. At the time, I didn't know what the Hell she was talking about. Now that I do, I regret not asking her for her telephone number. ;o

And is today the Hell over yet? Dammit!

Woof. Sorry to hear that man. :whistle2:|

It's 6:50 but I feel like it's 11:00.

Well, gonna play some more Painkiller.

Oh, by the way, I finished Disc three of Paranoia Agent. there's some good stuff in there but the directioon of the show took an abrupt turn and it really hurts the flow and the feel.

I'm not sure I'd recommend it at this point, the lack of voice acting and bulky movement makes it feel more like a graphically superior version of the origianl rather than a complete remake.

I watched that on Cartoon Network. Weird weird fucking show. Don't think I liked it too much.

The first Batman movie is on Cartoon Network right now, oddly enough. And that kicks ass.

Anime, eh?

Do they sell, like, Japanese anime online?

Because I've heard a lot about One Piece being cut-up and shit, and since I enjoyed it so much, though maybe I could purchase some of the uncut Japan stuff.

Just curious. :)

There's an Australian company that's putting out uncut, subbed One Piece starting early next year, if all goes as scheduled.

Yeah, there's lots of places to buy Japanese anime online, uncut. Also, there's a lot of places where you can... umm... obtain it in other ways if it isn't for sale legally in the U.S.

You might wanna drop by the anime thread and ask around for places. That, for I'm sure that someone more knowledgeable can help you. :)

Don't try and corrupt the kid, Saucy. Just because you're going to burn in hell doesn't mean he should.

You should know by now that you're going to hell with me. Pretty much everyone on CAG is, too, so it'll be fun burning for eternity with friends.

Plus, Lulu was the one who told me about some of those places. Oops...

I'd be all over that, but...

Well, need I remind you all of my dial-up woes?

In any case..

I'm actually just looking to get One Piece and maybe Bobobo. One Piece because I enjoy the Manga thoroughly, and Bobobo because I find it hilarious.

I dunno, I'm not an Anime buff. Cartoon Network is as far as I go.

Umm... you thought I was talking about downloading something? Uh, that wasn't it at all. Uh, yeah, that's the ticket. ;)

I like anime, but I'm not really into it either. Mainly because I never know what to watch, and I don't have the money/time to get into collecting.

So, I try to seek out short series, movies, or something that I will really like and want to make an effort to collect/obtain.

 Last time, I promise ;)

But if you're really hard up and have no aversion to burning in hell, aka Corpus Christi, TX, with the Sauce man then try ebay. Somebody is always selling anime on there for cheap. You can usually find 20-30 eps jammed onto several dvds for the price of one (legal) dvd.

:oldman:

I thought of that, but I'd rather obtain them legally if I can. I'll ask in the anime thread where I can get some of that stuff.

Also, does anyone know of a good site where I can send e-cards for free? I haven't sent one for years, and I decided I'd find something funny for a friend, so I went to where I used to go to years ago, bluemountaindotcom, and they charge now! :bomb:

There is some stuff I eventually want to get on Ebay. Like One Piece and Star Blazers. Since they doin't have the Japanese versions in the US.

Also, I'd love to see the original uncut transformers. I hear it's completely different than the US versions.

Sweet... at least if I have to spend an eternity writhing in flames, it'll be with some amusing characters. :D

They charge now?!?! What the crap is that...crap?

www.thespark.com used to have some cards, but I'm not sure if they're there anymore since the entire site became sparknotes.

Yup. Just went there to check it out, hoping they changed it back a bit. More Sparknotes now that it ever was. No resemblance to the old site whatsoever. It's all test prep shit now. Couldn't find anything fun on it.

Are you kidding me? Test prep shit is awesome stuff. I remember when I was younger, I would always swipe my older sister's SAT prep books and do the sample tests in the back. Ah, those were the good old days.

Riiight. I supposed you also grabbed your dad's test prep books and went into the bathroom to look at the fold out line graphs. :)

Hahaha, that was hilarious!!!

How about, "Whoa! Is that really the blood of Christ? That guy must have been loaded 24 hours a day!"

(I see you found your old Av. I take it you didn't delete it after all?)

I got paid $30 to do some national survey for the health and human services department. They asked me what drugs I had done and yada yada. Long story short, we have more beer money.

Yeah, that's the one. I remembered he made a reference to Christ being drunk or something, but couldn't remember the quote. I was being serious.

Yeah, I was looking through my pictures file and found it. Could've sworn I saved over it.

I'm not drunk.
My faith in God has turned the alcohol into water. :D

Don't be so sure that you're going to Heaven, Sweeney... ;)

Well, I think I'm off to bed. I'm in so much pain right now that I'm having trouble staying up.

Good night, CAG.

Holy fuck awesome, I just got back from seeing The English Beat and Black Tie Dynasty. As if that weren't awesome enough, I got to go backstage afterwards and chill for like an hour, so fucking awesome!!

Such an odd statement...
Just checked out ebay...and $800+ for premium XB360 consoles? wow.
Man I should bought 3 on my credit card and sold them all on ebay. Their was this wholesaler who had 500 of them and I tried to get my dad to buy some (50) of them. I was look dad if you buy all of them you can make $17,000 the irs does not have to know about. He said no, I would have helped him sell them, all I would want in return would be 2 360's. Just in case one breaks.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

As nice some of the 360 games look, I'm not paying $400 dollars for one, and I'm not buying the core system either. There's enough product in the pipeline for the current gen hardware that I don't see myself making a next gen hardware purchase in the next 12-18 months (Unless the revolution launches at a sub-200 price point).

That's just it, though. The games don't look that nice, apparently. Every review I've read so far has commented that, as the games are mostly just hasty Xbox ports, the hi-def just accentuates the graphical flaws. Waiting at least a year is pure good sense. By then, there will actually be games designed specifically for it, so you'll get a great sensory experience. I feel sorry for the early adopters on this one.
