Sigh. You know, I want to be angry about that 'why are Mania spots be given to these people' rant, but I just don't have it in me. We'll call it the 'WWE as abusive boyfriend' syndrome... I just lay back and accept it.
Do I want to see Snooki at WM? Dear god, no. Problem is, it gets them huge exposure. It's the same for every pseudo-celeb that appears at Mania, and apparently they couldn't do much better this year. Actually, that's not fair... as much as I despise it with every fiber of my being, Jersey Shore is a huge thing. Getting, arguably, the 'star' of it is a big get for WWE, so at least there's that. Still, winning at the Special Olympics and all that.
Now, as for the other stuff... WWE has problems. Big ones. As much as I want to believe people would buy a WM card that isn't loaded with stuff like Rock and Austin this year, I can't. WWE hasn't built talent properly in YEARS, so the guys busting their ass on the road are amazing and all, but WWE hasn't given made them 'must-see' attractions. There's a trade-off, and it's this: The Miz and Alberto Del Rio are in THE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES at WrestleMania, so WWE needed an extra boost in the form of Austin and Rock. It sucks, but that's the reality of it. I sympathize with the 'on the road' guys who are complaining, but it's not a problem that can be solved overnight and, let's be fair, if this Mania didn't have people like Austin and Rock on it and the buyrates tanked, WWE would run back to the same 'ol, same 'ol as fast as

ing possible.
I won't complain about Cole/Lawler. Why? It's been the most well-built and entertaining feud heading into WM27. Prove me wrong.
Michelle McCool. This is nothing new. As soon as she entered into *any* relationship with Taker, she became untouchable. The nice part about her is that she has a finite shelf life because Taker isn't going to be around much longer. Once he goes, I'd be amazed if she hung around for too long afterwards.
So... yeah, I don't know. The 'grunt' workers should probably be complaining, but it's just indicative of such a much, much larger problem that I don't know what the answer is. I'm a WWE fan, I won't lie, but go ahead and look at that current roster and come up with a WM27 card that not only people like us want to see, but also appeals to a mass casual audience. They've shot themselves in the foot here, and it's the hardest workers that are taking the most collateral damage. The legends of 'Superstars' are just going to have to live with another year of not making the live PPV. Not trying to be callous, just realistic.
