The NFL 2012-13 Season Thread - Super Bowl XLVII is the Harbaugh Bowl!
Not a fan then. I watched 8 years of horrid 49er football.
8 years??? The Browns haven't won anything since the 60's with Jim Brown. We have never been to the Superbowl once! You are complaining about 8 years?

Think it over dude....

I just heard on ESPN that Roger Goodell has confirmed that replacement refs will be used for Week 1 games so far, so get ready for the bitching about botched calls by DII, DIII, and high school referees.

Good job, Old Navy.
I hate weekday games. They start and end way too late.
I have the opposite problem in Alaska they start while i'm still at work. Won't be a problem in a few weeks though because I'm moving back to the east coast next month

Must have thought there was some sort of Cleveland Browns sort of deal with their history.
Can't ask for anything else. Going into the Superbowl champs house and beat them. :)
Yup yup...they need to quit the stupid penalties though..they had like 13!

Agreed. It wasn't perfect, and there is a lot to clean up, but I am happy for the win. The offensive line should only get better from here once they get used to each other.
Wonder how many people will now overrate ogletree in fantasy football and make dumb ass trades to get him.
Why make trades when you most likely could pick him up for FREE!

Seriously though, Giants, you guys never play to play, only when you have to.

Giants in nutshell right here. Have the abilities to blow a lot of these games out of the water and not even make them close but choose not to and end up losing for it. Starting to look like the Nfc version of San Diego.

Romo and Ware won this game for Dallas (obviously Ogletree had a big game, but that doesn't happen without Romo eluding pressure and putting the ball where it needed to be). Had Eli and JPP stepped up in the same way (though Cruz's multiple drops didn't do Eli any favors...must have been feeling the pressure of being Madden Ultimate Team's week 1 key player, lol), the score could easily have been flipped. Dallas was just the better team tonight. The questions will still be the same all season: "When will the Giants turn it on?" and "When will Dallas (Romo) implode?"

Cowboys offensive line looked good. Don't remember Romo being sacked or rushed much in the second half. Made big passes when he had time.

Victor Cruz was still hung over from the superbowl after party apparently. Poorly played game all around from Giants, The'll be fine do.

Ogletree snagged in both of my yahoo leagues. Can't wait to see who else emerges this Sunday.

Not a cowboys fan, but good job to Romo continuing his better performances that he had at the end of last season.

I think there were some penalties missed that may have made it a closer game for the gmen but ultimately they were outplayed and would have lost anyhow

Avoiding a negative reaction and potentially ugly scene, the Cleveland Browns will honor a request by Art Modell's family and not acknowledge the former owner's death before Sunday's season opener.
Ha. Even dead people want nothing to do with Cleveland.
I know it's against Buffalo, but the Jets are looking good so far.
And this is After we spent $$$$ on defense in the offseason... So frustrating being a bills fan. 17 points off turnovers and a returned punt...

Watching the Patriots vs Titans game, and on same play Locker (QB) and WR Washington both injured, man that hit Patriots put on Washington was scary. Matt Locker got a nasty looking shoulder/elbow injury.

That was a great game for the Browns defense and a bad game for the offense, though it would've been nice to see LJ Fort grab that last bad pass to give them the win. I'm glad to see the defense playing well without Fujita, Gocong, and Taylor and continuing the trend from last year that they're good enough to keep them in these sorts of games. I wasn't surprised that the Philly D kept Brandon Weeden from getting into a rhythm and that Trent Richardson couldn't do much besides a few good runs, a great helmet hit on Kurt Colemand, and a lot of Madden 13-esque trips and stumbles for a couple of yards.

I hope the offense can get some more room to work with next week against Cincy.

The patriots time out was funny to me, but not needed obviously. It's one of those debates: being assholes for doing it - but if the defense doesn't like it then just stop their drive.
Wow...the Patriots call a timeout with :31 left in the game, up 34-13. Bill Belichick, you're a piece of shit.
