2 things:
1. Just put in an order for Elektroplankton at Target.com. Its says the release date is Jab 10th. My reciept says itll be shipped on Feb 5th. Gonna have to talk to someone about that.

2. Was going to use a best buy gift card on guitar hero for instore pickup, but there is no way to add it to the card (its available at the farmington location, and shows instock online)

argh

Anyone remember that TV show "Dinosaurs" with the little baby dinosaur? You know, "Not the mama! Gotta love me!" ?

It might be coming out on DVD next year. I vaguely remember it, but I remember that the little baby was cool.

Ugh, I hate going to stores the day after christmas. I like to let things die down first
It's pretty sad that I still have uneaten Halloween candy still lying around. I wonder how long Nerds keep for? :whistle2:k
Nerds are eternal, man. Do you really think they actually get digested after you swallow? EVen the teeth-shattered remains can continue to exists inside your stomach for eternity without dissolving.

Grr. Sometimes the deal boards piss me off.
I mean, why do people need to bitch and whine about less than stellar deals?
They're getting selfish and greedy... 10, 20 and even 25% off of a brand new game is a good deal, but people seem to piss all over them unless you start throwing out deals that are 50-90% off.

There have been a number of good solid deals posted over the holiday season, but people have been bitching and whining that they weren't like the ones a Toys R Us (9.99 for several titles).

Things were pretty good since I got outearly.

Nobody was at Best Buy so I picked up ATHF 1-3, Batman 2-3, Smallville 4 pricematched $25 at target, and Two Thrones for $20. Didn;'t even have to wait in line.

Then zipped over to the Mall and picked up pheonix Write, DDS2, and a new Hori screen protector. I think I got the last one in the state. :)

The only place I had tro wait was at TRU. The line zipped pretty fast. I must have waited no longer than fifteen minutes. Still, I was annoyed when Geist still rang up for $50 at the register. I even grbabed a circular and pointed to its picture on the front and she rang it up for me again. Still $50. I mkay return it later this week.

Le sigh!

Good lord! A man is losing faith in the deal board! Deal Board Action Force, assemble and move out!

But no Rod Roddy. I tuned in for the prize slags, but I stayed for his ludicrous suits. What's going to dazzle me with its sparkliness now? This spoon?! I'd like to see that!

Greetings fellow CAGers. I'm back from a Vegas Xmas (unfortunately it couldn't last longer). So what depravity has been goin' on in the OTT?

You don't know what you're missin'. The horse heads are good when you're takin' someone in the back door. They can use the heads to brace themselves.

Well for the sake of next year's trick-or-treaters, I hope what you say is true. Otherwise it'll be their blood on your hands.

Don't be dumb. How is their blood going to get on his hands? It's their insides that are going to be shreaded, not anything external.

I was a little disappointed that there were no day after Christmas-specific sales, just sales for the week. There's still a few things I'm interested in anyways, but I'm not in a hurry to get them.

Well, there's always the possibility that one or two kids might explode.

Got out at 8 today, and was able to get some decent deals. I got NFS: Most Wanted at Target for 35, and ATHF 2 and 3 at Best Buy (Got there at 9:15; no one at all for returns and only a few people in line to check out. Got the last volume 2 and there were only 3 volume threes, and I got one of them. They had one vol. 1). No sign of the sale what so ever, so I was questioning whether they were on sale or not; rang up at 15.99 though.

Then, at Books A Million, they had these Xmas cards. They fold flat to go in an envelope, but they puff up to a neat 3-d snowglobe with a something inside! Fifteen dollars per pack(3 cards per pack). Today, on sale for three dollars per pack! So I bought 3 packs. One with trees, one with snowmen, one with Santa. I figure they can be the Xmas cards I send to family next year, since you can't buy a Hallmark card for a doller.. I also got HunterXHunter vol 1 and some Christmas beanies which were half off.

So, yeah, I got some decent deals. Everything I bought was on sale but HunterXHunter. Not bad!

Bah, they'd never be able to figure it out, that's the beauty. Who'd suspect innocent, yummy Nerds?

And if anyone does trace it back to the Nerds, we'll just blame crazy old Willy Wonka.

Quick question. I have S-Video out on my video card, as with my TV. Now, if I hook up the TV to the card, do I get a dual-screen effect, or does the TV screen only mirror what I'm doing on the PC monitor?

Okay, I have a question.

Our family purchased a treadmill for Christmas.

For the time being, we've placed it in the family room, near the TV, to watch while it's in use. We plan on eventually moving it into a seperate room and getting a corner mount TV to use while we're using the treadmill, but for now it's staying here.

It is plugged into a different surge protector than the TV, which is plugged into a different outlet than the TV. But when it's turned on, fuzzy diagonal lines appear, going from left to right, on the TV. Not really big or anything, just small lines, most noticeable on a black screen, barely visible on lighter colors.

Is there any way to prevent this, and will thi cause any permanent damage to the TV? In case it matters, it's a Sony (I think 24 inch) TV. Not hi-def, widescreen, plasma, or anything. Regular ol' TV.

I don't know crap about TVs, but does your treadmill consume power while off? Sounds like it might not be getting enough power? *shrugs*

Help! Help! I'm being repressed!!

With mine, i can:
Clone it - TV and Monitor looks the same EXCEPT that movies show full screen on the TV
Side-by-side - Like having 2 monitors.

Since I get 10% off at Target pretty much whenever I want (through use of their credit card), I'm probably going to try to set up a thing where I get Tax Free Revolutions for everyone in the Austin area.

Sucess with the addition of the lower screen protector for my DS.

First, I have discovered there are two different models of Hori Screen Protectors.

On both versions the top screen is red tagged.

On the first one I picked up it had a black tab for the bottom screen that was small and really stuck tight to the screen protector. When I tried to remove the black tab, it ruined the screen. It was stuck so tightly that it actually split one layer of the protector. the top most layer bubbled.

On my second Hori protector, instead of being black tabbed it was white tab. And unlike the black tab, which only covered the lower right corner, the white tab covered the entire protector just like the red tab. And it came off much easier, like the red tab.

So they obviously recognized there were problems with the black tab and upgraded to a new applicator with a white tab.

But I got it on and it's 99% flawless. And I prepped it well. I first wiped the screen with my special LCD cleaner and then used an Aircan to spray away any flecks of dust and lint.

Now I'm starting to dig the DS. I have one major complaint. I have yet to find a hand held position that's comfortable. After a half hour my index fingers are killing me. But I can play the GBA SP all day and have no problems.

I think my issue is that I keep subconciously trying to hold it like my SP, and it's two big for that. Instead I should cup it more, and only extend my index fingers to use the L/R buttons. Not hold them there. But I really want to solve this ergonomics issue because my index fingers still ache and it's been a couple hours since I stopped playiing.

Secondly, now I can start playing DS games that need the touch screen. I tried Metroid Pinball but I have yet to have any luck unlocking ANY levels. It's great and fun, but I suck at pinball. The rumble obtion is okay. It's a little weaker than I thought it would be. And it does make a noise but I don't mind it. In a way, it's like an additional sound affect.

Also, I just started Lunar DS. I figured out why it's gotten poor marks for a RPG. It has a lot of innovative stuff. I like how you can choose between gaining XP or gaining materials on a board. Starting there isn't much use because I'm focusing on getting XP. But later I can see myself going back to areas where I won't earn much XP but I need rare or to restock materials.

Each board also has a mini-game somewhat. Lets say there are seven monster encounters. You cna play the board straigh and just play trhough. But there's actually a stopwatch. When you defeat a monster, the watch resets, and when it runs out, the monster respawns. However, if you go on to defeat the next monster before the respawn, the clock resets again. So, if you rush through a level, you cna clear the board of monsters. That opens a bonus chest that gives you a partial mana and HP refresh. Which isn't a ton but it could be really useful on multi-level boards and dungeons. Soi that adds another way to play.

So what's wrong with the game? In comnbat you can't choose which monster you're going to attack. You just attack. So basically, there's no strategy in the game. Imagine playing FF:DoS, but not being able to pick which monsters you attacked. It takes the fun out of combat. So you can't focus on the enemy casters or the posionous creature or anything. All you can do is pick attack and you'll attack one of the monsters. But monsters seem to be able to switch between who they're attacking. I may be missing something but I haven't figured out any way to pick who you want your characters to attack. Maybe I should read the manual. But it really hurts the combat portion of the game, and that's a large part of it. But so far I've found it interesting enough to keep my interest.
Thanks, that was all I needed to know  ;)
You'll have to narrow down what you're looking for, otherwise that's all that can be said.

Will CC price match a DVD that was part of the 3 for 30 or 11.99 sale at BB this week. I have never tried to price match and I don't want to go across town to BB or look like an idiot asking for a price match.

Yeah, I know I was being incredibly vague there, but I wasn't really looking for anything in particular. Just some sites where I could browse around and see what catches my eye.

And on a side note, I think that was the first time I used the  smiley in months. You should feel honored jmcc
