The "Nobody Watches TNA Wrestling" Wrestling Thread
So tomorrow we're gonna have a CAG thread for WM full of justin.tv links, just like last year? :)
Since the PPV is Sunday, probably not.
I figure shrike will be watching this thread like a hawk after the last couple WWE pay-per-views. That and any WWE PPV the past few months they've been pretty thorough in nailing anything mentioning WWE for a few hours building up to and about a day after.
Called it in one.

You all need to save the crabby, overbearing mod some trouble this weekend.

Just Google 'myp2pforum' and don't waste your time posting links here.
Just ordered this, since it has been consistently out of stock at WWEShop and I don't want to chance not being able to get a large in the 70,000 seat stadium:

That's an awesome shirt. I'm a big fan of asymmetrical designs like that.

Looks like you'll be wearing a skidmark.

I would NEVER wear that in public.

This, on the other hand...
Vince McMahon on TNA:

http://www.acorn-online.com/joomla1...estlemania-is-still-special-to-wwe-owner.html

Daaaamn. Now, of course, most of us roll our eyes at the "entertainment business" framing McMahon has done for years (decades?). And he clearly expresses his disdain for "pro wrestling" more than we've ever seen. But above it all, dude's got a point. TNA threw the kitchen sink at WWE and didn't do a thing. And has done worse for themselves in the process.
That's essentially the same thing Vince said to/about Ted Turner 13-14 years ago, in regards to "entertainment" and "rasslin'". I find it hypocritical for him to knock the base that his company is built on. He'll knock wrestling to the point of not even calling it that but he'll certainly take the fans' WWE Universe's money. Bottom line, though, if the rubes and marks are willing to fork over their paychecks for tickets, t-shirts and foam fingers than it's their fault, not Vince's.

Predictions and card order:

Money in the Bank -- Mcintrye wins
ShoMiz vs. John Morrison & R-Truth -- ShoMiz wins
Triple H vs. Sheamus -- HHH Wins
Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase -- Orton wins
Chris Jericho vs. Edge -- Edge wins (HIGHLY UNLIKELY, but I'm thinking Mcintrye runs in after and cashes in the MITB, and wins).
Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk -- Doesn't really matter, I'm guessing Mysterio?
Undertaker Vs HBK -- Taker wins, HBK gets very emotional, HHH comes out, they hug, do the DX shtick etc etc
Some sort of womens match / filler -- people who really have to piss win
Batista Vs Cena -- Cena wins.

If Mcintre isn't cashing in his MITB (or doesn't win) swap the WWE & World title matches on the card.

I find it absolutely hilarious that Shrike deletes posts that aren't even remotely close to linking to banned content. Maybe it's because I called him an overbearing grouch?

Also, Steiner is comedy gold.

Just heard that Meltzer is reporting that the WWE has flip flopped Undertaker/Shawn and Cena/Batista in the main event. Cena and Batista will now close out the show. WWE is just beyond stupid on this one. Crowd is going to be flat out dead/exhausted after Undertaker/Shawn and in terms of historical significance, Undertaker Losing or Shawn retiring is 10000000 times more important than seeing Hulk Cena win the championship for the 1000000000 time since 2005.

^ Gotta send the crowd home happy. Sorry, but WM should be the one guaranteed "happy ending" PPV of the year (they tried to reverse that at WM16 and17, and didn't work out so well, IMO). UT/HBK can not end "happily." Cena celebrating with the belt will...well, yeah, shit, I guess that's not a happy ending either.
Amazon is having a sale on WWE DVDs and Blu-Rays.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...d_t=201&pf_rd_p=1248917622&pf_rd_i=B001KKU9EG

Good prices on some, not so much on others. The RVD set is $8.99, so I think I'll finally pick that up. The Bret Hart set is $12.99. Several volumes of the Anthology sets(RR, SSlam, SSeries) are $28.xx. The entire Summerslam set in the cooler is $112.
I don't see a single Blu Ray on that list...

"I'ma go down this one-way road!"

I haven't enjoyed many Steiner matches in the past... I dunno, 12 years. But to not have him in some company, somewhere, doing his insane thing would be very sad.

Apart from the lidless eye watching (and in-fairness we've been warned), the WWE seem pretty good at shutting down the streams these days, it's at best very unreliable.

Sad thing is I can't even be arsed watching for free, I'm just not interested in anything they're offering this year.

The Nasty Boys and hogan's friends have got to go.

I like that TNA exists, but I don't think I wanna watch it. Even for wrestling the stuff they do just doesn't make sense. Last week Sting beat up RVD and the 'security' stopped hulk from going into help RVD. That's retarded even for wrestling.

Shit, they gotta bring in the Booty Man.

You know Hogan's already trying to convince Dixie and the writers that Brutus Beefcake will help their ratings woes - and the worst part of all, they're listening to him.

we don't know what might happen at the end though....

what if Cena turns heel? YOU NEVER KNOW......

...(though that would be idiotic money wise)

Vince sounded like he had a huge suprise for Bret at WM. Hogan turned Heel in 1996, did that hurt WCW? Cena turning heel might be pretty good for business in terms of ratings/PPV buys.
Yeah, for real. I was hoping for a cheapo WM25 BluRay - and Amazon has a May release date for the RR BD (wth?)
Best Buy has the exclusive on the RR BD until May. Even then from what it sounds like the non-Best Buy release will be a single disc release. The Best Buy release has a bonus Blu with the RAW and Smackdown from the week prior to the Rumble.

Sorry if this is old news or nobody cares, but I didn't realize the match list was out for the Hart Family DVD. Here are the matches:

6-Man Tag Team Match
Keith Hart, Bruce Hart & Bret Hart vs. The Kiwis & Dynamite Kid
Stampede Wrestling – May 1979

World Tag Team Championship Match
Hart Foundation vs. British Bulldogs
Boston Garden – November 1, 1986

Intercontinental Championship Match
Bret "Hit Man" Hart vs. British Bulldog
SummerSlam – August 29, 1992

Family Feud Match
Bret "Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, Bruce Hart & Keith Hart vs. Shawn Michaels & His Knights
Survivor Series – November 24, 1993

Bret "Hit Man" Hart & Owen Hart vs. Rick Steiner & Scott Steiner
Florence, SC – January 11, 1994

World Tag Team Championship Match
Bret "Hit Man" Hart & Owen Hart vs. The Quebecers
Royal Rumble
– January 22, 1994

Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship
Bret "Hit Man" Hart vs. Owen Hart
SummerSlam – August 29, 1994

Bret "Hit Man" Hart & British Bulldog vs. Owen Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart
Raw – November 7, 1994

European Championship Match
Owen Hart vs. British Bulldog
Raw – March 3, 1997

10-Man Tag Team Match
Bret "Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart & Brian Pillman vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust & Legion of Doom
In Your House: Canadian Stampede July 6, 1997

6-Man Tag Team Flag Match
Bret "Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart & British Bulldog vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Undertaker & Dude Love
Raw – July 21, 1997

WWE Unified Tag Team Championship Match
The Hart Dynasty vs. D-Generation X
SmackDown – December 25, 2009

Could be a few more 1 on 1 matches, but if the idea is to have a lot of Harts in the match it seems like they've done a good job. It doesn't fit the theme, but I wish Bret vs. Austin from WrestleMania 13 was on it since the audio is screwed up in Bret's set. A lot of people will like the Harts vs. Steiners match finally getting released.

If anybody has watched RVDTV lately, it showed Bret with X-pac and RVD in a room talking about Owen. Is Bret intent on going to TNA or something?

None the less, I'd rather drive an hour and a half to go to Orlando (We have year passes to Universal) then go to a WWE show. I just like TNA, but I guess that's because I'm a huge RVD fan.

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels...is in the house! (YAYAYYYYYYYYYYY)

Buff Bagwell...is in the house! (YEABOOOOOOOOOOO)

So if the order of promos on SD is any indication, Undertaker/Shawn Michaels will be the final match. Until I saw that I was pretty certain it would end Edge/Jericho, UT/HBK, Cena/Batista. Now I'm not so sure.

I think I'll get to the restaurant at 9 and stay through the end. That should cut out most of the undercard.

I'd like to see MiTB but if McIntyre does win, I'll be happy I missed it. Guy has the most boring face I've ever seen. He and Sheamus should have a, "We don't deserve to be where we are!" match. The winner is immediately entered into a midcard feud against Matt Hardy. The loser gets deported.

Awesome idea.

gonna be out an about for the majority of the weekend so ima go ahead an lay my predictions for the show.

rey v. punk: punk wins to keep the feud going.

MITB: kofi or christian, i would love to see christian win and come back later that night to beat edge for the title to close the show

orton v. rhodes v. dibiase: i think the wwe is gonna push the youth on this show to try and really solidify these guys, so gonna say dibiase wins this one

sheamus v. hhh: read above and apply sheamus

showmiz v. truth/morrison: i will be shocked if truth and morrison win

hart v. mcmahon: vince has a 0 - 4 record at wrestlemania, how do you think this one will go.

hbk v. undertaker: this topping their match from last year will be damn near impossible, i like, everyone else am quite excited for this one, UT wins

batista v. cena: the transitional champ will live up to his name once again and lose the belt in his first defense, cena wins

edge v. jericho: edge will get his revenge in what could easily be one of the best matches this year. edge wins

enjoy the show tomorrow guys, i'll be back after its over to talk with all you
...I like McIntyre. =/
As do I. He's got easily one of the best themes ever, a good look, an amazing finisher, but he's still very green. He's perfect as teh IC champ right now ( a spot Sheamus should be occupying tbh).
