Picked up the PSP 1000 today, and it works!!!

PSP 1000
Star Ocean: Second Evolution
1GB Sandisk Mem. Stick

Total: $15

Definitely my best find :)
Dude, very nice find. These are the finds that you dream for. Congrats!

Thanks! I was VERY surprised when it actually turned on after I got it lol
And it was nice to get a working one cheap after paying $20 for one that ended up being broken last sunday.. though it kind of worked out because I was able to exchange some of the casing to make the working one look better and replace the thumbpad

@leftwing: Sucks you got no analog, but amazing find.

@Hyper Bolt: I wouldn't pay $50 for that, but the SNES mini... Hmm, I don't know how I feel about it. There's no led indicator to tell you whether it's actually working, and (mine personally) has trouble reading games sometimes. It's up to you. I:t's nothing special. But $50 is steep.

Really want to know if I should pick a virtual boy complete with everything (no box though) with mario clash, wario land, and mario tennis for $50.

The games are cartridges only. What do you think?

The console is pretty hard to find and it rarely shows up on my craigslist (not sure how often it appears on yours), so if you want one, I'd pick it up. Also, Wario Land and Mario Clash routinely sell for around $15.00 on eBay, so you're coming out only paying about $20 for the system, which isn't bad at all.

I have a potential deal going right now with someone from CL for a PS3 for $60. It's been opened, but so long as they have a power cable and I can test it and make sure it turns on, I'll take it for that.

Of course, they still made this deal with me even though I told them that a new BR lens is $70 and repairs from Sony are $150, so I'm wondering what truck this fell off the back of.

Wish me luck either way.

Just got all this for $25 -

- Pokemon Color Pikachu Limited Edition - complete with box, all the paperwork, and the GBC is in great condition... just missing the battery cover.
- Pokemon Pocket Blue - rough condition (small crack on screen, color bleed a bit), no battery cover, thinking of just donating it to Goodwill.. it did come with the box and manual however
- Original guides for Blue and Gold / Silver
- Link Cable, 2 AC Adapters, and a Car Charger
- Donkey Kong Land with Box
- Donkey Kong Land 2 with Box and Manual
- Pokemon Yellow - Save still works
- Pokemon Silver x 2 (Seller said one Silver didn't work.. after a bit of cleaning, works fine, and both saves and has a working clock)
- Pokemon Trading Card Game
- Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Complete in box
- Animorphs

Seems like the GBC with the box and manual gets like $20 - $25 alone so it was a good pickup.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement battery cover? Seems like Ebay is the only bet and they are a bit expensive.

Remember estarland having them but dont hold your breathe..

WTF!! I didn't know the the feeling of people selling stuff under me until today. I emailed a woman for a Super Nintendo with 3 games(Street Fighter 2, All Stars Mario, and Super Mario World), 2 controllers, and tv hookups. Was just missing the power cable. This was yesterday maybe about 2-3 hours after it was posted. She emails me back this morning saying to call a number and ask for her. Well i do and she doesnt pick up so I leave a message. A few hours later I get an email saying that her roomate had already sold it. Well atleast she had the decency to email me back but still :bomb:. Was really hoping to try out the Super Nintendo.
Remember estarland having them but dont hold your breathe..
Unfortunately, the only one they have is clear green =/

Looking for either a blue or a yellow one to match the GBC.

Today I got two pretty good ones.

1st one was a pink game boy advance (with the backing) w/ zelda oracle of ages, donkey kong country (gbc), harry potter (gbc), miss pac-man color (gbc), and shrek something gba for $10.

I was finally happy to get an oracle zelda game. I've been hoping to get one on the cheap for a long time.

2nd was a big bunch of amiga games.

I saw the pic and saw Indy, Loom, Hero's Quest, and Pirates! and decided what the hey. Guy wanted 100 for all of them I offered 60. I really have no idea of the value of these but I thought with loom, pirates, hero's quest, indy, sim city, if I really wanted to I could easily make my money back.

The only problem is I still can't figure out what they are worth. They are all complete - manuals, discs, paper work, even the little brochure to order more by telephone - All except for Loom which is missing the audio tape - I legitimately believe the guy had no idea there was a tape with it. He said they were his son's from long ago and he wanted to sell them - he thought they were from the 70's.

Anyway here is the pic - if anybody could point me to a good resource to value these in the collection let me know. I checked ebay but there were like no Indy's, a few different versions of Loom, etc.

Got this for 25$ today (sorry for terrible quality):

The games are:

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Donkey Kong Country 2
Tetris & Dr Mario
Battletoads/Double Dragon
NBA Jam Tournament Edition
Ken Griffey Winning Run
Bulls vs Blazers

The SNES is pretty yellowed but works very well. I'm psyched about SMW2 and DKC2, I just picked up their prequels earlier this month so it's nice to get both sequels in one swoop. And Tetris & Dr Mario fetches way more than I thought it would, nice surprise.

There is an ad for a NES system with 2 controllers, 1 gun and 83 NES carts. The seller wants $300 for this package.

Is this a good deal?

I have a greatest hits version that I'll trade in. I traded in a black label during the HWV sale, true story. I'm assuming it slipped through because it was my fifth trade of six games in a week. I'm keeping this one. Will probably trade in Colossus and pick up the black label my GS has. Or put it towards a pre-order. I don't know. I'll figure something out.

If all the games are commons i don't think so. Depends though. They're better be flintstones in there.

I took a chance on a RROD 360 for $50 bucks with the intentions of repairing it myself and using it in the bedroom, but when I checked the serial on xbox.com, it was never registered and under three years old, so I'm getting it fixed for free!

I got one for $30 with a wireless controller and no power cord that still had one month of warranty left. Needless to say, I was happy to let MS fix it for me.

snes sytem
super mario world
mystic quest
ultimate fighter
2 controllers
no rf adapter
Guy wanted 30, talked him down to 20 and bought an adapter off ebay for 7 shipped.

Way to cherry pick the rares lol(try to throw RE Director's Cut in). Go ahead and try, cause that would be a sweet score, but he may actually know what you're doing.

damn...I missed it because of work...he sold Suikoden 2 and wild arms for $20...he wanted $10 for each of the rest, but since Suikoden 2 is gone I decided not to bite (dont want to drive 40 min)...oh well...wouldve been hell of a deal (he actually agreed on my cherry picks..)

btw phoenix I received 4 emails indication that you sent me PM few days agon but didnt actually received any of them...wonder why..

note: And I got me a PS3 slim yesterday at bestbuy...

Well I finally met the fucking Wii guy after literally a week and a half of deliberation. Here's what I got:

Wii Console (Boxed)
Wii Sports - Sealed (!)
Wiimote + Nunchuk
Wii Component Cables (!)

Mario Kart (Good Condition)
Classic Controller - Like New

Total: $140 (and some free slurpee coupons for 7/11)

Originally he wanted $250. I offered him $150 and told him to e-mail me back if he didn't get anything higher. A couple days later he says someone is willing to do $225 but he will sell it to me at that price since I was first. I tell him no dice, and good luck with the sale. The next day he sends me another e-mail saying he won't do higher than $175 (lolwut), and to let him know if I wanted it. I tell him I can't go above my offer, and to e-mail me if he ever decided to lower the cost. He agrees a few days later, and we play cat and mouse via e-mail for at least a week until we finally meet up tonight.

I was originally going to offer him $130 in person and just see what he said, but I felt bad being that he lived so far away and went right to $140. He accepted and I threw in a few coupons for him. I wasn't expecting the component cables as I didn't see them when I originally looked over his stuff. It actually came with no basic A/V cables, so it's a good thing I have a TV with composite. Wii Sports was sealed, which was awesome, because I was expecting it to be beat to shit.

Everything was in great condition besides the flap that covers the GC controller ports; it's pretty scratched up, but I can always buy another from Nintendo if I want. All in all I think I did ok.

Time to play my Target clearance copy of Madworld

How much should I offer for-

Turok 2 seeds of evil
Toy story 2
super smash brothers
wipeout
Turok rage wars
star wars shadows of the empire
NFL quarterback club 2000
WWF attitude
command and conquer
Pokemon stadium 2

Dunno if they are complete, but they are all N64

Just scored this N64 bundle for $60, with 8 bonus SNES games he was going to sell separately, a Retro Duo (black/dark grey), and a couple of PS2 games I cherry picked.

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/vgm/1346260520.html

A LOT more than I'd normally be willing to pay, but the games are pretty much top notch (hell the N64 games are worth twice what I paid for the bundle alone) and he had some guy that was hounding him for just the N64 games (I was doing the same). He was going to sell the guy the N64 games for $30 total.

I told him I could get right out there, I was just looking for the games and would match the other guy's offer for the games. Then he calls the other guy, who then was offering him $60 for the whole bundle, so I said I could do that max and pick up right then, take it or leave it.

I get out there, and find a bit of a bonus. The N64 is a gold console, it includes 1 gold controller and 2 more red controllers, all first party. I don't have any in those colors so I'm a bit happier. He has the Retro Duo and some cart only SNES games, I ask how much he wants for them and he says $10, I say how about just throwing it all in and he agrees. He also asked if I'd be interested in a fat PS2 and some games, look over the games and cherry picked out Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari or whatever the second one is called, both complete.

So in summary, $60 for (all games cart only but mint carts/labels...except the 2 PS2 games which are complete/mint):

N64 gold console with all cables
1x gold 1st party controller
2x red 1st party controller
mario party 2
mario party 3
super mario bros (super mario 64)
paper mario
mario kart 64
donkey kong 64
golden eye
1080
Toy Story 2 (unlisted in the ad, he found it and threw it in)
------
Super Mario All Stars
Super Mario World
Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
Mario RPG
Aladdin
Some game with a beat to hell label that I have no idea what it is...will have to test it. I can only make out some guy's face and a little writing above it on a white border
-------
Katamari Damacy
We Love Katamari

I bought this PS2 around February of 09. This slim ps2 has been barely used. I have the box for it as well with manual. I still have clear wrapping on it. I will include controller and memory card. the 7 games included are: Persona 4, Rogue Galaxy, Yakuza 2, Shadow of Collosus, Star ocean till the end of time, Monster rancher 3, and NBA live 04. Monster Rancher and nba live 04 has couple of scratches but the other games are like new since i just recently bought them. If interested you can reach me at 818-456-3064. My name is Kevin. I am also considering to include a 30 inch Sony Trinitron tube TV in this bundle as well.

How good of a deal is this? I'm thinking of picking it up for my brother. I gave him my PS2, but it's nearly seven years old and on its last legs.

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/vgm/1340722201.html

Also, someone else is selling a GameCube for $15. Controller and memory card included, no games. Worth it? More for my girlfriend, but I may end up playing a Zelda or Metroid game or something. And a Smash title. Twin Snakes would probably be neat, too.

Already have Shadow of the Colossus and Star Ocean, but I'm going to go for it. Thanks for the advice! GameCube offer worth it? Additionally, I'll pick up RE5 for 360 if someone has a PS3 version and they'd rather have it on 360.

EDIT: Don't mean to nag, I just don't have much experience buying used consoles, so I'm turning to experts.

There's nothing wrong with a price of $15 for that Gamecube. Anyone who thinks they should put the effort into trying to offer $5 is just being cheap. Not real surprising, when some poeple believe it's their birth right to get everything handed to them.

If you bought that lot at Gamestop you'd pay about $60.

No doubt according to some people here, the $5 I paid for that Saturn lot in the flea market thread was probaby too much and I should've offered $3.

This is why I tend to list "price is firm" in my CL ads, I don't need some yokel trying to talk me down when I'm probably already losing money on the deal. Pay what I ask or begone.

I'm getting the PS2 minus the tv for $100. I'm meeting him at his house - is this protocol for buying systems? I'm a pretty big guy (6'4", 230 pounds, workout and all that, blah blah), so I'm not overly concerned for my physical safety, but if the dude is going to shoot me or something it won't be worth going out there. How do these sorts of things typically work out?
