Gotta bummp this back to the first page!

I picked up this little bundle for $20 this morning!
Yes, $20 total :D

The DSi was definitely heavily used as it is pretty dirty. I was hoping some rubbing alcohol would help, but so far no luck. Any ideas?

The game is brand new. Was told that the plastic wrap was taken off but never played, and it sure looks that way.

The woman that sold it to me said her husband said to just throw it out (their children got DSiXLs for christmas) O.O
Luckily, she figured she would get a few dollars out of it >.>

Try some windex first, and then alcohol to take off the film windex leaves.

For which part? If you're trying the clean the body, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work wonders; just make sure to be gentle with them, as they can remove paint if you scrub too hard

Yeah it's the body that is dirty. I may try the Mr. Clean, thanks for the advice!

I picked up a Virtual Boy in great condition, with about 6 games for $100. Depending on how you look at it, it's about par for eBay prices.

Picked this bundle up yesterday -

Black GC w/ 1 controller
Super Mario Sunshine
Mario Golf
FF crystal chronicles
Zelda windwaker
Zelda Ocarina/Master quest combo
NBA street 2
Metroid Prime
Rocky

All games are CIB and literally look brand new! Got the bundle for.........$20!!

Picked up this late Christmas present to myself from a guy on Craigslist on Monday for $30. He posted it at 11:15am, and I replied about 11:45am and thought I had a 50/50 chance in nabbing it. He calls me 10 minutes after I reply to his post, and I meet him an hour later. I had considered offering $20 for just the SNES stuff, but decided against it as he may have sold everything to someone else instead of me. Played it safe, and glad I did.

Give him his $30 cash and walk away with Earthbound (my first ever copy), and some other odds and ends. Thought the Lethal Enforcer with light gun was pretty cool too, along with the Super Mario All-Stars guide. I go home awhile later and clean up Earthbound (contacts were dirty but not corroded, and it had an easy to remove sticker on back of Cart). Overall, it's in solid shape. Tested it and it saves too! Score!

Not CL, but from a local B/S/T group on Facebook.

Somebody listed a Sega Saturn w/ Panzar Dragoon for $20. I messaged them back to set up a p/u the next day. When I went to pick it up, she informed me it didn't work when they tried testing it, so I could just have it for free. Took it home, and the disk wouldn't spin. Took it apart, and bridged the 2 solder points that tell when the lid is open, and slapped it together. Works perfect now.

So, for free, I got a (now) working Sega Saturn, Panzar Dragoon (complete), 2 controllers (only 1 is a 1st party), A/V hookups, and official Sega RF.

Hopped on CL for the first time in ages hoping to find something and what do you know, I did. An Atari 7800, with 20 Atari 2600 games, and one 7800 game. Guy wanted 30, but I talked him down to 20 since there are no controllers. However, since most of these are 2600 games, I can pop in my Genesis controller and play some good old fashioned Atari. It even came with one of these game center things. I'm just psyched to finally own anything Atari.

Guy wanted to trade Uncharted series for Skyrim. Asked for a cash offer and he said $45 seems fair.
1 & 2 were a sealed set, the online code for 3 worked. Pretty stoked about this deal since I've been kicking myself for not getting 1 & 2 when BB had them for $20.

Warning: Rant

Went to local GW to see if I can find a reciever for the GC wavebird. Asked one of the employee if they have any GC in the back room (I reasoned that the Wavebird controller I picked up over the weekend separated from its receiver which was left attached to the GC), he told me that there was two GC today, but as soon as it got out of the backroom, this Hispanic man grabbed both. Apparently, him, along with other couple people, are standing near the door leading from the backroom into the store, and crowds any carts that get roll out. ARGH!

I walked by that Hispanic man's cart, and saw that one of the GC has a GBA player attached to it. :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
thanks I'll give that a try :)
Also you can try brasso, they sell it at walmart, you can use it to buff scratches out of plastic better on mat plastic. Although gently you can buff it to a shine too

A good way to start off the new year, I think.

I wonder why some people will keep the booklets for the cartridge games, yet toss out the box. I mean, why not just keep the whole bundle together.

When I was a kid, my N64 boxes would get worn on the corners so I just tossed the boxes and kept the manuals and games in the drawer under the TV. I'd probably regret that if I had a huge collection, but I really only had a half dozen games for it since I primarily played PS1. Since they were in jewel cases, they're all complete and in great shape.

This wasn't recent for me but my best find on craigslist was somebody sold me their original Gears of War Lancer replica (chainsaw version) to me for $40 in mint condition.

What was interesting was that he knew that they sold for hundreds online in the secondary market but he "didn't want to deal with packaging it and going through the hassle."

Same concept as trading into gamestop, you'd get more on ebay but there's the hassle of packaging, shipping, possibility of someone trying to scam you. And if it was something like the lancer, it can take up space. Either way, a great deal for you

I should be picking up a fat ps2, 2 controllers, 2 memory cards, hookups, 10 ps2 games, a few psx games including FFVII black label w/guide, Legend of Legaia w/guide for $50.

Going to meet up with him after 5pm today

Thanks. I can understand where people are coming from when it comes to the hassle but it still surprises me.

I had alotta friends that would put the manuals all in a stack under the TV with the games stacked on top then throw the boxes away. probably due to space issues.

For NES most people put the manual in with the game in the slip cover and tossed the box (I didn't, but it makes sense). I don't know why they would on SNES or N64 games though...The SNES tray packaging is pretty nice.

Is that a Saturn VGA cable? weird. I wouldn't offer much, I can't tell what games they are. Plus with Dreamcast and Saturn's usually show up in lots with games, I'm guessing that if you buy this lot, that you would end up with a a second, just to get the games with it... but i could be wrong.
Figured you fine gents could help me out with a figure to throw this guy. I've been on the lookout for a Dreamcast or a Saturn so getting both sounds even better but with it being as is and no controllers I'm not sure what I should offer or if I even should. Thoughts anyone?

I wouldn't even do squat until the guy gets prices up; "As Is" with no cords isn't exactly something one needs to make competitive offers on  I'd say don't pay more than $20 tops, think about all the money you'll have to shell out to get the hook-ups, controllers, etc.

Been a while since I've had a good CL find, but ran into a gem today.
For $50 I got (all 360)
MW3
Battlefield 3
Forza 4
Dance Central 2
the Cabelas 2012 game & gun bundle
and Call of Juarez (the newest one)

Their reason for selling cheap was they just switched to a ps3 and no longer have a 360. Haha. Drove about 45 minutes but it was worth it. All complete w/manuals and everything.

It's ridiculously hard to find Saturn (and Dreamcast, to a lesser extent) games in the wild, don't buy a console with no games unless you want to buy games individually and pay a bunch of markup. Wait for a bigger lot to show up.

For $30 yesterday I got:

SNES system with hookups and 2 controllers (works fine)
Super Mario World
Super Mario All-Stars
Yoshi's Island
Tetris Attack
Donkey Kong Country
Wario's Woods
Super Pinball Behind The Mask
Tin Star
Super Caesars Palace
Ms. Pac-Man
Mario Paint (just cart)

Nice you cleaned up!

I haven't gotten a single video game pick up in about probably 5 or 6 months. That one was Persona 2 for the PS1 sealed + and GBA and a bunch of games for 40 bucks. Since then I've picked up some other things though. I got a HP Laser Printer ( a few years old) for 30 bucks with a new toner in it. Looking online it seemed used prices were about 40 bucks so with a new toner seemed like a good deal. Helps me out a lot with printing shipping labels and such. I picked up a few blu-ray and dvd lots too. 95 blu-rays and a cheapy dvd/br shelf for 260. Like 20 DVDs for 15 buck (including the Stand, Salem's Lot and a few other pricey ones) another bunch of DVDs for 15 bucks (including a few brand new ones and a rare one - the Bluegrass King). Seems like the video game market over here on c-list is pretty much dead. About 1/2 the ads are store advertisements, then the other 1/2 are I will buy your stuff, and the final 1/2 are stores pretending to be just random people selling their junky stuff hoping the other stores will pick it up (150% - insanity!?). I have to think part of this is from the stores getting desperate. A few of them have closed down recently (only open for like 6 months or so), but there is still about 7 of the used game stores within a 20 minute drive of me.
Very few deals in my area on Craigslist. Mostly people asking for ridiculous prices.
Same. Usually people highlight in their ad that they're selling for 15-20% less than Gamestop. Big whoop.

The only real good "deal" for video games I've seen in my area on Craigslist was a guy selling a Game Boy Player with the start up disk for GCN for $10, but he was located an hour away from me and by the time you add up gas costs, even I flipped it I would probably only break even.

Posted an ad on Craigslist saying I'd buy old games, Someone responded, the guy asked how much, and I said a couple of bucks if they are in good condition, I asked if they had box, he said no, told them they would be worth a bit less, he continued to tell me he had Nintendo games. Who knows if that means nes, snes, n64 or what. I asked him for a list at every step, and after that he never responded. Not expecting much
