The Official Craigslist Finds Thread!
Leftwing is on a roll. Saw something that piqued my interest, but I dunno if I should bite or not:

Nintendo DS in "Great condition" with 10 games: "The games are hotel dusk, sim city ds, age of empires, tony hawk american skateland, tony hawk downhill jam, feel the magic, mlb 2k7, shrek crash crat and mario kart ds"

I e-mailed the seller and asked what kind of DS it was and if the games came with cases. Seller says it's a Grey Phat and no to the game cases. I offered $60 and he said he'd take it.

I don't really care about the lack of game cases as I'd just sell them all off anyways; I could make $30 bucks back off them easily, right? I'd be fine with a DS for $30...
$10-$15 for a phat, $40 tops for that bundle, maybe $45 IMO
Yeah, I would go for it. If you're lucky like sleepydumbdude it might turn out to be a DS Lite, which would definitely make the deal. And if it's an original, still a pretty good deal - and I think you could make back around $40 with the games, so $20 for the system is good.
I guess you missed it but he said it was Phat. I'm actually happy with that; the original was always my favorite. I'm just not sure what to do with the games; I was thinking about just turning around and listing them on CL, cause I doubt I'd get dick for them at Gamestop or anything like that, even with the trade-in boosts.

Maybe I'll try and take them to a local pawnshop I know the people at and see what they say
$10-$15 for a phat, $40 tops for that bundle, maybe $45 IMO
Are you saying the Phat is only worth $10-15? If that's the case, I'd like to know where I can find one for that price, haha.

Nope, I caught that it was fat...
and what i guess u missed is that what happened with sleepydumbdude is the guy said it was "original" (probably meaning it wasnt the DSi), and it turned out to be DS lites. So this guy may think phat means lite...

Haha, are you trying to be a dick?

Regardless, I mentioned it was a grey Phat, and the seller said it was the original grey DS. I don't think I've ever seen a grey DS outside of the original model.

Here is a lot I'll be picking up next weekend for $100 :D
I think there are some titles in there that make this an amazing deal!
Some games come with manuals too, don't know which yet tho.
well, there is a silver DS lite, although it isn't called grey.

bad mood, tough week.
Hang in there brah.
Not sure about the value of most of them, anyone that does please let me know!
A lot more than what you're paying, but I'm sure you already knew that. If you have no interest in keeping Sword of the Berserk (Dreamcast) and it's in excellent condition or better, shoot me a PM and I'll probably take it off your hands.

I ended up getting that DS w/ games for $50, though I'm not sure if I even want a DS at this point. I forgot what a hefty sumbitch the OG DS is; maybe I'll keep an eye out for a cheap DS Lite.

It's yours haha, I don't have a dreamcast so I have no means to keep any of those games.
gamecube and wavebird for about 30 is it worth it?
I would personally try to just offer around $5 for just the Wavebird. Especially if you're looking to re-sell - Gamecubes are heavy and hard to ship, and not worth that much.

Awesome. Shoot me a PM once you get the lot.

"Mega Man Z (not sure what this is.. i havnt heard of that for snes?)"

The only other Mega Man games on SNES I can think of are Mega Man 7 & Mega Man Soccer. I'm thinking Mega Man Z could be a typo on 7.

Wow, what an awesome Craigslist pickup. You are so lucky! The Craigslisters in my area either charge a lot or somewhat fair price for their gaming stuff:cry:

not sure what prices are like in your area but a Wavebird for $5 would be something akin to winning a small lottery here.

Thanks! Just keep looking, I'm usually never this lucky with Craigslist deals! Also, post an ad saying you are looking to buy video games. You will get a bunch of terrible game offers, but that is how I got this lot!
Madcatz Tournament Edition SF4 Fight Stick for Xbox 360

$70 delivered
Wow, nice. I sold mine on craigslist a couple weeks ago for $130, haha

I mean he's selling the whole bundle for less than a Wavebird's worth, so I assume he doesn't know the value of a Wavebird.

I am negotiating with a guy right now for Ps3 80 gb in mint condition complete with MGS4 complete for 200 bucks. Seems like a good deal. I tried to avoid looking at ps3 deals in the past out of fear of buying one, but now I have extra cash to get one and no point reference for price points.

Just make sure the warranty sticker is on the side.

If the warranty sticker is gone, chances are it got the YLOD and he fixed it, but it will only work temporarily.

I just got an email from a guy that says he has a "TRS-80" for sale. I've never heard of it, so I researched it a little, but want to know what others know about the system. Thanks!

I might potentially snag a Wireless Network Adapter for the 360 for $20. We agreed to meet up sometime tomorrow. Wish me luck. :D

The one that goes for $100? Good luck.

I ended up getting one for $25 off craigslist, and it is awesome.

Heh. The common name for those in the 80s was a 'trash-80'.

There were a few games for them, but I don't remember it being anything special.

^thanks

Damn; were most of those for playing purposes leftwing? Lemme know if RE 2 or 3 were in decent condition and you don't mind selling them.

Here's my find from yesterday:

dscn0380.jpg

$35. I got it for the Wii Wheel (girlfriend), and an extra classic controller. Super Mario Galaxy as well, though I might sell it off. The rest I figured I'd sell off to recoup the cost. Wii Play had moderate amount of light scratching, Wii Sports had a large amount of light scratches. Super Mario Galaxy was excellent.

If anyone sees anything they might want (Wii Play, Wii Sports, Nunchuk, Wii Condom, stand), shoot me a PM.

i am getting on wednesday is 4 PS3 japanese games and a 10.44 gamestop GC for 65

games are

Demon's Souls
Ryu ga Gotoku 3
Way of the Samurai 3
knight chroicles

FFVII (black label) and a few junk games and a dirty PS1 system (but a good condition Sony brand memory card) for $15

FFVII had a cracked case and was missing the manual so I talked the guy down from $25. Not too bad overall. Especially when he delivered it to me :)

Got a PSone Mini combo in the box with 22 games, 2 memory cards, and a controller for $50 total. Not really any games worth noting. A few Resident Evils. I should be able to get at least $5 out of all but like 5 of the games. I'm pretty happy :)

Is this a good deal -

White DS Lite with no box and "a few scuffs on screen"
Nintendogs
Metroid Prime Hunter
Brain age 1
Brain Age 2
Animal Crossing
Yoshi Island DS
Pokemon Leaf Green (GBA)
Super Monkey Ball

All the games are cart only.

I really want a DS Lite and haven't been able to find one for a reasonable price. If I sold all the games on eBay it would make the system around $25, which seems fine to me (if the condition is fairly good). What do you think?

no why

w00t, just picked up GTA IV, LittleBigPlanet, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Killzone 2, all complete and minty for PS3 for only $55.

I meant to ask this a while back...

Have any of you used either craiglook or craigzoom (both .com)?
Are the search engines any good in helping finding what you want on CL by radius (closest to farthest), even if it's in another close by city/town?

^nice

I traded a sealed copy of Killzone 2 (bought from newegg for $40) for:

Xenogears (GH), FF IX (BL), FF Anthology (GH), FF Chronicles (GH), Skullmonkey, and some NES Games.

I do plan to sell/trade these games so let me know if you are interested! All are in excellent condition (i'll give specifics upon request)!
So they didn't go online and use the $50 giftcard. Was the pin area scratched off?
no
no
Doesn't matter if the PIN was scratched. Here is how they scam you with gift cards:

They sell you the gift card, PIN unscratched and have you call the number on the back to confirm the balance. After they sell the card to you, they go to GS (receipt in hand) and say that they lost the card. GS will then void the old card and transfer the balance to a new card. You are then left with a worthless card and the scammer gets to walk with your money.

I seriously hope you spent the money or transferred it by now.

there are several ways someone can jip you i guess, they can sell you the card and after you get in your car and drive away the guy will call the other guy at the house and say "ok he bought it now go use it online quickly"

i'd never buy gift cards off there. 90% chance you'll get fucked over

all of those for free

Black and White - CD Case only
Far Cry - Original Box
Freedom Fighters - Original Box
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Original Box
Half Life: Game of the Year Edition - CD Case only
Half Life 2 - Original Box without preview cover
Halo - Original Box
Kingpin - CD Case only
Nocturne - CD case only
Quake III Arena - CD Case only
Quake III Team Arena - CD Case only
Revenant - Original Box a little dinged, but the game is fine
Star Wars Jedi KNight Academy - Original Box
