Probably. If you collect atari stuff. Sealed games are hard to come by for almost all retro systems now (in the wild that is). Make sure they're genuine and not re-seals.

I just had my first find in a while. 12 PS1 + PS2 games for $30. I really just bought them for the first 3 games listed.

all complete unless noted:

-Dragon Warrior VII
-Koudelka (no manual)
-Ico
-Final Fantasy X-2
-Kessen
-Spy Hunter
-Suzuki: TT Superbikes
-Scarface: The World is Yours
-Second Sight (disc only)
-Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (disc only)
-Eternal Ring (disc only)

I was contacted through an ad I posted on Craigslist myself... guy had... A TERROR DROME! *dramatic pause* Which, is the last main vintage GI Joe item I needed... mostly complete for $50! Pics are in my blog.

Never anything good on Chicago craig's list. I've just started backing out automatically when the first games listed are Madden, FIFA, or Tiger Woods.

it's amazing how people amass collections of shit games. Not like "I'll play this system every once in a while" small collections but like collections of 20-30 games that are pretty much all bad or redundant with yearly sports titles.

Here's one for people close to East LA. I'm in the valley so the tripis a little too much but this seems like a good deal as you can easily sell the other stuff and get the two Wavebirds:

Alright, this seems too good to be true...can anybody verify if this is one of those stupid posts that get spread from city to city or is there a 1% this is real.

After a LOT of contemplation, I have decided that I am going to sell my Super Nintendo. This is quite possibly the greatest gaming system ever created.

Here's what I have that I will be included in the price:

- 1 Super Nintendo Entertainment System in good, working condition
- Original power and video cables that came with it
- I have somewhere around 5-6 controllers, 1 arcade controller, and a multi-tap that let's you play certain games with more than 2 (up to 5) players

Here's a list of the included Super Nintendo games (the ones with the ** in front are more rare and hard to find, and are the main factor in the overall price):

**Chrono trigger
College Slam
Donkey Kong Country + strategy guide
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest
**Earthbound + strategy guide
Final Fight
Ken Griffey Jr Presents Major League Baseball
Killer Instinct
Legend of Zelda: Link To The Past + strategy guide
Madden NFL 95
Mortal Kombat II + a page I tore out of an old nintendo power that has ALL of the moves & finishers for each character
NBA JAM + strategy guide
NBA Live 96
Out of This World
Royal Rumble
**Secret Of Mana
Stunt Race FX
Sunset Riders
Super Empire Strikes Back
**Super Mario RPG: Legend of Seven Stars + strategy guide
Super Mario World
Super Smash TV
Turtles IV: Turtles in Time

Additionally, I have a Super Gameboy cartridge for the SNES that allows you to play the original Gameboy games in color through your SNES. I am including this since there's no way I'll ever be able to sell any of them and I don't want to throw them away.

The included Gameboy games that can be played through the Super Gameboy:

Jordan vs Bird
Jurassic Park
Kirby's Dreamland
Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening + strategy guide
Mega Man
Mortal Kombat 2
Operation C
Spiderman 2
Spiderman 3
Super Marioland
Super Marioland 2
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II
Terminator 2
Tetris

If you want the actual original Gameboy as well, let me know.

I am selling everything that is listed together as a lot for $80. Alternately, I will sell the lot for $40 EXCLUDING the more rare games (Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG) and their guides. These games have a much higher value.

Looks fake to me. Anyone who is aware of those few sought-after titles knows full well they could easily bring in at least $150 for that stuff without even trying -- even on Craigslist.

That said, you don't have much to lose by sending an e-mail, just in case. You might get added to a spam list, or get Craig-rolled, but whatever.

Well...I shot him an e-mail, he responded asking when I wanted to meet up, and a number to reach me at...Still have alot of doubt but maybe there is actually a 5% this is legit, we will see. He lives about 25 miles from me and I really hate driving through the city so I offered him $30 extra to meet me closer to my area, I figure if it is real I would still be paying only $110 for what $300 worth of stuff...and if it's fake then I lose out on nothing.

Exactly. If he's a scam, feel comfortable knowing you wasted his gas.
Need help guys: What price for this is a good deal?

$300 seems like a fair internet price if you were to buy all that on ebay. But with enough searching, you could easily put this package together for less. There aren't any particularly rare games and the NES isn't even an official one.

On a side note, I hate people who put "top loader" in their listings to make it seem like they have an official toaster model!

That bundle isn't worth the $300 firm he's asking. The games are all common, and many of them are crap. Personally I'd see about trying to cherry pick a few of the better games for cheap - Megaman 2-4, 6, Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Bubble Bobble, Tyson's Punch Out etc.
Exactly. If he's a scam, feel comfortable knowing you wasted his gas.
It's good tactic to offer him a little more; there's always the chance that he doesn't want to bother with ebaying and will take 50% of the usual sale price or less. Some people know they have games of value but just want to get rid of the stuff.

Picking up a Sega Genesis Model 1 (and I think a Model 3? just noticed there were two in the picture but the ad didn't mention it) with two controllers, the a/c adapter and 15 games for $20 today. Just gotta find a cheap A/V cable.

Awesome. I actually posted the same exact thing just about a year ago. Same thing for 140 bucks. I've been extremely happy with the speakers and haven't had a single problem. I haven't looked recently, but I remember when I first got them I was looking online and people were saying how good logitech customer service was repairing and replacing systems that stopped working after the warranty and stuff.

After replacing 3 mouses (2 wired 1 wireless), 2 keyboards, one speaker system, and one remote control .. I can say this with 100% confidence and trust me when I say this .. BEST PC PERIPHERALS CUSTOMER SERVICE EVAR!

bought a ps3 slim 120gb, for 150.

system only. I had all the cords. Went an traded in some old n64 games to a local video store, for a controller. then when I opened the system cod mw 2 was in it. haha love craigslist.

though I took a risk buying it without cords. could have been broken. Just went with my gut, an gut worked out.

That's because they're cheaply made, and sold for at least 5x more. They have tons of them so it's easy to replace. But yeah if they had Microsoft's pin system it would be alot easier, no receipt needed at all.

As for me, I got nothing good on craigslist for some time, only tons of posts about "wanted:video games" and resellers :(

Yeah. There's this one guy always posting that "I PAY CASH FOR VIDEO GAMES" crap with hilarious quotes like "I am not a person to pay full price." and "I buy to resell or trade later on so I am looking for bulk prices. I am the person for fast cash and rarely pay top dollar."

I haven't bought a single thing since CL added the video gaming category.

As ridiculous as it sounds, when people get strapped for cash they will go to that guy. You wouldn't believe the cash trade-ins I've seen at the various video game stores in my area. People will trade in some very rare stuff for pennies on the dollar just because they need cash fast. As an example, I watched a guy trade in his Sega Nomad for $0.79. Yes, you read right, seventy-nine pennies.

Just bought a psp 3000 with the charger and need for speed carbon for $30. Current firmware and works great. No memory card, though I orderded a 4 gig stick from cowbooms day deal for $8. Now I'm actually happy that I missed out on all of those cowboom deals, especially since I only bought it to play kingdom hearts BBS.

Nah, I believe it. Hell, I'd post those kinds of ads too if I was driving all over the place anyway (my transportation is somewhat limited currently). It's just if you're going to rip people off, maybe don't tell them that right off the bat?

I just got a pretty good score of DS games off of craigslist from a kid/mother selling their games and system. I got the following

Pokemon Diamond complete
Pokemon Ranger complete
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time no book
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team (game only sticker peeled off)
Mario Hoops 3 on 3 complete
New Super Mario Bros Game only
Kirby Super Star Ultra complete
Elements of Destruction complete
Spectrobes complete
Bleach Blades of Fate Game in generic gamestop case
Alvin and the Chipmunks complete
Brain Age complete
Digimon Dusk missing stickers but has everything else
Goosebumps complete
Mario and Sonic at the Olympics complete
My Sims complete
Action Replay DS

For 70 bucks I think I did pretty good on this
I dont think there are any bootlegs but I am going to run them on my dsi xl just to be safe

Should've given him a counter offer of $1. I seriously hope he walked there, though, cause he probably wasted that much in gas just to get to the store and back.

Picked up an atari 2600 and 90 games for $90 today.

Saw an ad for the following:

Grandia - 10
Lunar 1 SSSC - 20
Lunar 2 EBC - 25
FF Anthology - 15
FF7 w/ Guide - 35

Decided to get the Lunar's and the Grandia and he took off 5 bucks for a total of 50 dollars. Not my greatest find, but I've been looking for a copy of SSSC (brother's friend lent me a copy and would not sell it to me), my "friend" borrowed my Grandia and lost it, and some my other "friend" took my Lunar 2, denied ever borrowing it, and then *luckily* gave it to my other friend (real friend haha) for his birthday.

Got a Spongebob edition GameBoy Advance SP with the charger (not pictured) for $25 today. Maybe not the BEST deal, but I collect them.. (not very seriously though). It's in good condition except for a very minor scratch on one Spongebob's eyes, and some of the paint has worn in the corners. I'm also scheduled to pick up some stuff tonight. I'll post when I get em.

If those Lunars were complete with all the goodies you really can't go wrong.

Yeah I saw that one, but didn't really feel like driving 30 minutes to pick it up.

Alright. Picked up the following a few hours ago. The best part is, it was only 10 minutes away.

(all are for original Xbox)
Splinter cell
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill 4
Battlestar Galactica
The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction
Halo 2
Stubbs The Zombie
Mortal Kombat: Deception
Thief: Deadly Shadows
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Fatal Frame II

TOTAL: $24.00

Traded my old Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop for a Xbox 360 arcade.
Went to his house and he tested my laptop and I tested his 360 and he had in Lost Planet 2. Works fine with HDMI and still in warranty.

Bought a Wifi N adapter at the local pawn shop and already had a 120 gb HD. Was very happy. Plus is my bf just bought a FF13 bundle on ebay for $220 WITH guide. Was very happy.
If those Lunars were complete with all the goodies you really can't go wrong.
Amazingly everything was still intact in the Omake Box in Lunar 2 (still sealed) and the cloth map was still sealed in SSSC.
Yeah I saw that one, but didn't really feel like driving 30 minutes to pick it up.
Yeah I was debating it too. I drove 40 minutes from Silver Spring, MD, but decided that it was worth it.

So which CAG in the St. Louis area got to the Final Fantasy games before me? Someone was selling FF 7-9 (originals w/ artwork and all) for $30 total. I know it was someone here, you lucky bastard.

Not a real 'find' but I think it belongs.

"Greetings, fellow consumer. I present to you today perhaps the most epic handheld game ever created. Officially licensed by Disney? Hell yes it is. Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs? You bet your ass. Vintage? Check and mate. Oh, but you want more don't you. You want a reason to buy this game beyond the fact that it is a classic, perfectly working, vintage piece of Disney badassery, manufactured by Tiger, a trusted name in handheld gaming. I'll give you a reason.

DWARF BUTTON

Sorry for blowing your mind.

This game is the only game ever to include a Dwarf Button. What does that do, you ask? Oh, nothing much. Other than SUMMON A fuckING DWARF TO AID YOU IN BATTLE. Does Halo have a dwarf button? Does Call of Duty? No? So why are you wasting time on that garbage. Do yourself a favor; take your balls out of your purse and man up to "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" - your life will never be the same. Bonus: The "Dwarf Button" is shaped like a heart. A giant heart with the word "Dwarf" above it. Why? Because you love dwarfs and you know it."
