The OFFICIAL"I'm Drinking Right Now" Thread!

Speaking of drinking games, the best drinking game I have ever played was something called "Landmine". Better than asshole, quarters, beer pong, shotglass checkers... all of them! Anyone else ever play it?

Ok, quite simple... This is what you will need...

1 - Get a large table (the bigger the better)...
2 - Get a lot or drinking friends (the more the better)...
3 - Make sure each friend has a beer (can or bottle) and a cup to drink from...
4 - One quarter (coin)...

This is the way the game works...

Everyone get around the table. Whoever is going first, gets the quarter. The object is to spin the quarter on the table top, then while the quarter is spinning, you must drink the beer that you poured into the cup before you spun the quarter (Before you spin the quarter, you pour the amouint of beer you "think you can drink" into your cup). Once you finish whatever was in your cup, you snatch up the quarter before it stops spinning. If you catch the quarter before it "dies", you pass it to the next person. The game keeps going like this until someone misses the quarter. This means they must spin again. The real fun comes in whenever someone finishes their beer can/bottle. Whenever someone is done with their can or bottle, they get to put it anywhere on the table that they want (hence the name landmine). It can get pretty nasty when everyone gangs up on you and "boxes you in" with beer cans and bottles... Fun game, I definitely reccomend it!

I like the landmines game! I need to try that. Why don't we just discuss drinking games here? The most fun I've had, hands down, was strip quarters. I was on fire this one night and I got the hottest girl completely naked. So fine. Those were the day.....
 
Remember kids, only drink in moderation. You don't want to get drunk and do something stupid like knock up a fat chick or buy a xbox 360 Core system.
 
secured my brew-- went with Goose Island 312, but I have yet to crack it open.

on a related note, I thought of a new drinking game.

Rules:
--Call Best Buy, connect to a department of your choice.
--every 4 rings, take a shot of beer.
--if the employee answers like you've interrupted him beating off, chug a beer.

Any recommendations for a first time drinker? Going to take a trip up to Canada on winter break (19). I've tasted Heiniken and didn't really enjoy it. I'm also going to bring some stuff down to make New Years Eve last till the next day as well, so anything for multiple people would be appreciated as well.

Crown Royal....Canadian whisky made ohh so well. It'd absolutely delicious. Other than that, the regional wines there are decent. Vodka & something is always a decent choice. But Crown is Canada's best export though it's actually cheaper to buy in the states than in Canada.

Lots of luck though. Make sure you keep a bucket close to you for those "just in case" moments.

When I was 17, going back 11 years now, My friends and I went to a Hibachi Place, you know where they cook on the table. I pressed my Luck and ordered a Zombie, and they gave me one, then I drank two more, in about 30 minutes. 3 Zombiea in a half hour and I think I may have been drunk once before in my life. Needless to say I passed out on the table, burned my arms. Luckily my friends ulled me up before i started to sizzle.

The power hour can make you go crazy. It seems like time seems to bend as you go farther into it. At first, you'll have plenty of time to pour all the shots and bull shit about not being drunk yet. At the half way mark, you'll just finish pouring when the time keeper says consume. By the end, you're just pouring your own all over yourself and still not getting a shot in every minute. I'm sure Dante felt the same way as he descended into hell. It also didn't help that we used Keystone Ice, Natty Ice and some other "Ice", maybe Beast Ice.


It's a great time to be a cheap ass gamer & drinker

sooo true, though I did power hour with liquor instead of beer. I blame it on all the foreigners I was drinking with. Their bladders were accustomed to that torment.

Beer-wise Bud Light and Natty Light aren't too strong or bitter. Liquor wise, try jager bombs (jagermeister + red bull) Cherry bombs (Cherry vodka and red bull) or just vodka and cranberry jizz. The cranberry is the antimatter to vodka's bite, totally nullifies it.

I'm for all intents and purposes from the city where Yuengling is made (Pottsville). Oddly enough its about the only beer I dislike.

Aw man my friend works at Trader Joes and he flowed me a $45 bottle of champagne for :applause: gratis:applause: . I sat down and played some World of Warcraft (of which I've been growing a little bored of recently) BUT man, i drank almost the whole bottle. I was completely hammered in that upbeat way and having the best time playin:D

If you haven't treated yourself you a big champagne buzz in a long time I recommend giving it a whirl next time you game.
 
Pepsi and limeaide. You can imagine that the limeaide is a Strongbow or something, if you want. That's what I'd be drinking, alcohol-wise, if I could. :cry:
 
Figures... I'd post random drunken thoughts in the OTTs after getting home, and now that there's a thread for this shit, I haven't been drinking, and I'll be offline for the next week.

But just for the record, my favorite drink is Southern Comfort, and I drink Budweiser pitchers with my fiancee and friends at Papa Joe's (pizza place/bar) almost every Wednesday night.

When I'm on a budget, I'll purchase 3 tall cans of 211 Steel Reserve (8.1% alcohol) for 99 cents a piece, drink them in an hour, and be quite drunk.

Unless it was 15-20% at most, ain't no way he drank that much. Nobody could consume that much hard liquor. Then again, he didn't give a percentage/proof.

You can bring back more, but if you get caught you have to pay taxes (duty) on the extra bottles. My ex went there to get booze for a bachelor party, and had the stuff shoved under seats, in the glove compartment, wherever (but that was awhile ago).
 
How do I celebrate passing the bar??

My girl is coming into town tonight and we are planning on celebrating me passing the bar exam (I put it off from last week b/c she wasn't in town).

What should i do? I'm thinking champagne but we tend to go through that stuff like water. Hmm....someone mentioned Crown earlier in this thread. Hm....maybe a power hour? Decisions, decisions...wish I didn't have work tomorrow.

Well, it's not just me going across, I have two female friends that I'm going to get shitfaced with, and then come back.

Well, I have plenty of hiding places in my car, as well as having dual citizenship so I can do pretty much whatever, but I will look over the fine details of the rules before I go up.

Lol I dont mean to make you relive this if you dont want to but that sounds hilarious to me. When I get wasted I fight my friend who is like 6 foot 240 ( I'm 6 foot but only 160) lol. He is all muscle too. Last time I kicked him in the head while he was on the floor (I wonder why he was on the floor?) and he tackled me. I then proceeded to punch him in the kidneys until we were all laughing too hard to fight anymore. Good times...good times.

Hehe... when I drank hard liquor regularly, I'd buy $10-12 half gallons of cheapass vodka. I can't do it now. It's too gross, plus my tolerance is way down, but if you can handle it, that's one of the best methods of drunk-gettin'.
