The official "OMG Wii IS HERE!!!!" HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY THREAD!

I had a hell of a day.

Went to Target.. apparently they handed out voucheers to the dumbasses standing in line all night about an hour before I got there.

I then went to a TRU, Wal-Mart, two K-Marts, drove 30 miles north and checked out BB, CC, a Target, Sears, checked a Wal-Mart on the drive home, checked one more Sears then a Hastings. At Hastings, they were passing out tickets and doing a lottery on who got to buy the systems as they only had six. I didn't win.

So.. 10+ places, every place I got in to were either sold out or already handed out vouchers. Went home Wii-less, but I did go ahead and pick up Zelda.
What did you do?

I don't have a WAP or anything like that. I can get online with my DS.. but, for Wii it's giving me a hard time.
I moved the WAP a total of six inches, about two left and four up, twisted it, and set the antenna straight up. I went from no connection to two bars.

I got my Wii after 5 hours of camping outside CC. I picked up Red Steel, Zelda, a second complete controller, and 2000 Wii Points along with it. They unfortunaely didn't have any Classic controllers there, so I'll call EB and see if they have any in stock.

Once I'm fully awake I'll crack Red Steel open and give it a go. I sadly won't be starting Zelda until next weekend after I get home from Thanksgiving break.
Does no one sleep anymore? This forum has half a page of new posts between the time I leave for work and arrive at work.
The Wii launched yesterday and you expect people to sleep when there's Zelda to be had? ;)

Sleep? What's that? Its only 4 AM here...

Actually, I kind of want to go to sleep, but the sound from my Wii updating is keeping me awake. Its also taunting me. I'll probably play more Zelda or Red Steel after its done updating (of course that is after I poke around the update a bit).

I just can't get online. I have a wireless linksys 54G router right next to the Wii and I can't get any signal. This is so annoying.

Zelda is great though - and it's going to be HUGE. My play time is 2.5 hours already and I haven't done anything yet. It took me a while to figure out how to use the bird to get the cradle to get the fishing rod to get the fish to get the slingshot but I was pretty pumped when I figured it out. I also found a lantern and a heart container (5 for a heart - WTF???). I got some kid and some monkey out of a cage, herded some goats, got sucked into the Twilight Realm, turned into a wolf and locked in a cell (and then saved and quit). Holy crap that's a lot of playing - and not a single dungeon in sight! I can finish The Legend of Zelda in that time. I can't wait to play some more but I have to watch the Giants tonight...

Man I think I should stretch out next time I decide to play the Wii. My right arm and the right side of my back is kind of sore, but it was all worth it.

Really? I have the Linksys WRT54G, and it is a good 40 feet from my Wii, with about 4 walls in between. I get 2 bars of signal from it. I even picked up some neighbor's signal that I've never seen before. I was very impressed, actually, as my DS doesn't work at all from the room where the Wii is (my PSP, on the other hand, does). Maybe that's more a reflection of the DS's weak Wifi, though (and I've tried 3 of them, so it's not just a bad one).
