The Official PlayStation Vita Thread - 11/4: FW 3.00 Coming Just in Time for the PS4 Launch!
Does not compute. Which remake sucked?
sorry poor choice of words - I meant "please don't do that whole fft advance thing again." As far as I know I don't have any beef with any of the original fft remakes, just the reimagining that was fft advance. is my credibility recovered?

Eh, I liked FFTA's system more than FFT's, which is as broken as scouts in Valkyria Chronicles. FFTA2, OTOH...

Does any one else think that some things for Motorstorm RC weren't optimized for Vita? the menus are a little had to read on the small screen and why on earth does touching the screen pause the game? I've accidentally hit it 2-3 times in the small amount of time I've been playing the game.

Hey guys I'm getting my PS Vita tomorrow and I was hoping you could answer a few questions. Will I be able to download movies or tv shows I already bought from my ps3 to the vita? Will I be able to play games like pac-man championship edition and other psn games on the vita? Thanks.

I don't own a Vita yet, but understand now why the Vita probably won't have TV out. That being some games require touch screen. Still it would be nice to use the Vita as controller while connected to a big screen television.

Guess I have a reason to consider a PSPGo for my downloaded PSP needs.

Anyone play Unit 13 yet? I've already torn through Uncharted, HSG: WI, Escape Plan, Mutant Blobs Attack. No desire to play Little Deviants... so I'm jonesing for something new to play.

Any recommendations? Would like to take advantage of the TRU bogo50% off deal before the week is up. Lumines is on my list of must-haves... but not sure what else to get. Hence me thinking about Unit 13.

You might like Touch my Katamari.

My official in-ear headset came in today. Very comfortable, though it comes with three different sizes. The cord is plenty long enough and the sound output is fairly good for earbuds.

I haven't had a chance to try out the mic yet.

Does it have to use a proprietary headset?

Not, any regular headset should work, this one has a built-in mic though. I was able to pick it up for $15.

Good to hear. I snagged that from Best Buy the other day, but haven't tried it out yet.

Can anyone who has tried out remote play offer some indication of games they played and how it worked? Thanks in advance.

I know the Pixel-Junk games work... but that's all that I'm aware of.

I haven't tried it on the Vita because my router is one of the weird ones that keeps waking up my PS3 and I can't be bothered to troubleshoot it. But...

I did do the remote play quite a bit on the PSP and I have seen repeated reports that it's EXACTLY the same on the Vita. The most complete list of compatible games seems to be on Wikipedia... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_Play
I thought the whole idea was it worked with ANY PS3 game?
No, they've said that the developer has to support it, from the start. People have been able to get it to work regardless of that, though.

Im thinking of picking up the vita today. Not sure if i should pay the extra $50 for the 3G with the 8GB memory card or not. Not gonna use the 3G at all.

If you have a Toys R Us near you, today is the last day where they offer a $25 gift card with purchase of the 3G bundle. May make your decision easier, especially since they're also running the buy 1, get 1 50% off on Vita games too.
Sucks, I finally had to make a new PSN account for the Vita. If only they would allow sub account upgrades I wouldn't have had to lose all my stuff. :(
What do you mean by "sub account upgrades", are you talking about gamesharing? Why didn't you just use your regular PSN account?

might be slow on this- but i just realized yesterday that you can "like" and comment on the status items that appear on game splash screens.

No I'm talking about how I made an account when I was 17, so now when I try to make purchases I have to use the parent account. I will have to make a new account to buy things on the Vita.

Its a pointless feature that will never get the proper support from Sony or the developers. You cant play any games unless you are in the same room/house as your ps3. They hyped it up as a selling feature and now it will be forgotten. Dont even mention the CFW guys out there b/c there is so much input lag it makes it unplayable. Good thing Sony showed off KZ3 on remote play:roll:

Sony never promised remote play would work on every game. Also, I've connected to my PS3 from work via remote play a number of times...

I never said Sony said it would work with every game. I have also connected to my PS3 from places outside my home. Have you tried actually playing anything? Unplayable!! Conceptually it works, in practical real world use it fails miserably......
For me, Remote Play is worth it alone to setup downloads while away I'm from home.
I used to do this as well a long time ago.

i'm thinking of getting a Vita soon and i wanted to know from fellow Vita owners how bad is the battery life on the Vita? i keep hearing between 3 to 5 hours.

Last week I had to charge it about once a day, but I was playing it a decent amount.

However, I've found that disabling wifi seems to help my system's battery life.

I am using the default brightness and volume at the highest level (not sure if that makes a difference).

that's good i was debating on just waiting it out but that sounds good enough to me thanks for the reply Hellrazr.

I realize this isn't the right place, but I'd just like to give a shout out to the increeeeddddible number of rage quitters in vita umvc3. I kept track today - I played 22 matches and had 16 rage quits and 3 losses. So 4 actual record counting wins. Shenanigans!

I have a question for Vita owners.

I'm thinking about getting one soon. Recently I asked my brother to download the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 value pack for the PS3, but when he did he used his account and not mine. This doesn't matter when using the PS3 since it's installed on the console and the costumes will load whether I'm on his account or not, but what I'm wondering is that since the pack came with unlocks for the Vita version as well, will I be able to transfer the downloaded file to a Vita under my account, or are they locked on his?

I apologize for the convoluted story, and would appreciate any knowledge on the matter.

Which games did you use? Just curious.

I haven't tried any games yet, I've just used it to transfer some files, queue some downloads, and purchase a few games from the PS Store while at work. That alone makes it worthwhile for me...and should they improve the game compatibility, all the better :)
Thanks for the heads up, it was in my Spam folder.
How do we get that. Use the code to activate the 3G and then immediately opt out of the auto-renew?

Thank you, kind sir.

Shame, but so it goes.
