The official Rayman: Raving Rabbids thread

Those mazes are a pain. I beat it with pure luck.

And I'm glad there isn't 25 days. I thought there would be because of the 25 on the cell.

Finally found this game to rent last night. The family and I had a blast with it. We laughed, swung our arms, clapped at success, and cried over unbeatable mini games and our lack of tallent at closing bathroom doors. hehe This game is great and I am glad we finally got to play it. We got it for another six days and if it continues to thrill I am sure we will get our own copy. I lack any Wii games atm since trading Zelda after dropping 95h into it.

I didnt know that. Thank you very much.
I didnt know that. Thank you very much.
You're welcome. I was just covering my ass in case the repost police searches this thread. I hope my CC has it in stock come Sunday, though. Can't wait to try a new Wii game.

I have auto-save on, but it only autosaves at the end of the day
so if I beat all the events, and quit before beating the ending game for that day, I have to beat everything the next time I play.
Is this how it works?

Nice. Glad I didn't pick this up today for $50.

Yes

Zforce:
Its 4 players multi. But with how we trade off beating the games it could be multi for more. We even team up to beat some. Its really a lot of fun.

yes.
Is this game good as a one player game or designed for multi player?
It's pretty much a single-player game, with a "I'll play, then you'll play, then we'll compare scores" mode tacked on.

What would you do?

I bought the PS2 version (still sealed) before I thought I'd be getting a Wii and now I don't know if I should buy it a second time for the console it was clearly designed for. Bought online with GCO so I won't/can't do a return at this point.

Any guess if the $29.99 sale price will become permanent in the near future? The CAG in me is reeling at the thought of spending on it again - even if it would be a superior play experience over an analog PS2 controller.

It won't go out of print or any such nonsense right? There isn't exactly a huge Wii library at the moment that I could wait for a perm price drop. Ugh.

Would you just sit tight and wait? And rent in the meantime to compare?

You can't return it, but you could still sell it for at least most of what you paid for it. Or, if there's a Wal-mart or something near you, take it in and exchange it for something else (they're usually okay with exchanges, even without a receipt).

I'm not familiar with the PS2 Raving Rabbids, but it probably can't be very good.

Just finished the story mode. What a fun game. Some mini games are cool as hell. Others are just blah.

Anyone else happen to get a Golden Cow award? You get it by passing all 4 challenges during a day in one try.

Yes I'm really bringing this thread back.

Does anyone have any damn suggestions for the door closing mini game? That game is so broken. I haven't sworn at a videogame in awhile but wow.

I had serious issues with that as well until i read a tip that you should position the hand in the center of the stall (not on the door). It doesn't matter how open or closed the door is - if you center the hand on the stall (so right over the bunny) and then shake, it should close quickly. Good luck.

Give one of the controllers to your friend/wife/mom and tell her to shake it. The other should simply point at the doors. The only person I've seen literally excel at this minigame is my wife, who also finds the idea of pooping bunnies "hilarious."

Yeah, same for me. I aimed right at the bunny's crotch, and it worked really well.

i don't know about this game... i got it new for $22 back in Feb (sears, with credit and PM). I gave up after the brain thing, man, it's freaking impossible! I had fun with the kids on the carrot juice mini-game. I shaked the nunchuck while the kids aimed at the rabbits with wiimote. The bathroom one was okay, i did pretty good. Overall, it worth about $15, definitely a rental title. Not really a multiplayer game, i got misinformed...
How do you save? I've played through like 2-3 days and when I'm in that little cell, I exit and nothing is saved. Manual doesnt say much about how to save in Story mode.
Its auto-saved dude...second u get into that cell at least
i can't get pass the brain thing, it's getting on my nerves! can i just download the save and move on...
Take short cuts... that was very easy for me...

Try setting the controller on the arm of a coutch and lifting it a little as you want the board to move.

Whats making you stuck?

Also once the game is beat its multiplayer i do believe at least for the plunger levels and what not.

Hey, thanks for the tip... i never thought you can rest the Wiimote on the surface and lift a little bit. As for short cuts, i guess i have to find it.

I'm stuck b/c either the ball kept falling into the hole or times up. If you don't beat it after a while, you don't wanna continue...
I rented this yesterday and i've been stuck on day 2 for an hour... can't beat the damn carrot juice level or the outhouse level lol
For the outhouse, the key is to just aim for the center of the outhouse - don't worry about where the door actually is. Put the cursor on the center of the outhouse and you should be able to close the door pretty easily.

Thanks. I actually ended up beating it on my first try after I posted... Damn game! Was able to get through the carrot juice level as well after a couple more tries. Had to take breaks after each failure lol
