not really. Seeing as the prize was an 8gb ipod touch and it was specially engraved saying square enix member. Only a little over 250 of them were made, so it is quite rare to have it. And seeing as they are normally like 200 for an ipod, this one will be more valuable in time. Also, seeing as most everyone on this site gets their guides for only a penny. A penny for a code that is from a 20-50 dollar game
 
How do people get guides here for a penny?

Anyway, I was thinking a game for like all the codes, seeing as you probably go them really cheap anyway.. so I guess we're pretty far off in terms of price :p

What happened with all your old posts with the list of ids for the codes etc anyway?
 
I got temp banned =P I was in the penny guide thread, and I posted how my stop at a gamestop went, and people got pissed and banned me.. Eventually I'll get it all up again, maybe this Monday or Tuesday (days off) I can try to hit up a gamestop, get the upcoming game info again, and resubmit everything all over again.

On a side note, how many codes do you need from my list? And what games do you have? I traded 8 codes and got 3 guides (1 was a hardback, FF13) and LOZ: Phantom Hour Glass for DS. So going by that, it was about 2 codes per item. But just let me know what you have for trade and we can work something out I'm sure..
 
Just so you guys know, I got an email from someone. He was saying old codes don't work, but just so you know, they do work. So long as they are not used. So every code in my code trade list is for unused codes only.

Looking at this thread for the first time, I feel unbelievably stupid for never signing up for Square's reward program before. And this is with only having two pins at the moment xD.

How difficult would you say getting to the highest tier is?

It is much easier than last year since there are a bunch of discounted Square-Enix titles you can choose from various retailers. Most games offer 50pts each and you have only to reach 1000pts for Ultimate tier (or just 900pts in your case). You might need to spend a small fortune in the next two months, but you can also wheel and deal in this thread for codes. Let me know if I can be of any assistance :p . Good luck.

It'll could be difficult though. There's no PS3 in this household either since I kicked my old roomie out. I may have to just resort to buying 18codes for the game ^^;.

Thanks for your work putting together this list. Nice stuff. Just to be clear though, games/codes released last year (under your Points (Year Ending 3/31/2010) column) do earn points this year so its not like we are limited to games only from this new SE year and it looks kinda like you are suggesting otherwise. It is nice to see a breakout of possible point per year though.
also me just nitpicking, but for early registrations you could put n/a for release date instead of Unknown.

points do earn from last year for this year. So long as the code is unused, you'll get points for the current year it is.

I have a spare FF13 PS3 code if there's anything you want to trade.
 
Alrighty! I set up a quick google spreadsheet of what codes I have, what codes I need, and how many left till I hit the 1,000 mark.

Regretfully I'm codeless. And I've never purchased guides nor am I chalked full of rare games (or really any games) for trade. Hopefully people wouldn't mind cash or simply pointing me in the right direction to get the game for the cheapest amount.

Went to several GameStops today thanks to the "locate a store" feature for a few "New" versions of the old Square games. And in every store, their new cases were opened and on display without the code x_x.

And Cheapest seller on eBay seems to want 6 dollars per code. 2 dollars for the code and 4 dollars for the trouble of "handling" the code through email.

Strangely, this is more fun than a pain though. :)

i've done the same thing, recommended by a store manager to hit up certain gamestops for guides. Guides that would only be a penny. Found a guide at the gamestop, but the bastard banned me from the store cause I called him on the guide being a penny as he removed it from my list of sales. But like you were saying, I checked other game cases (not only just square enix or nintendo games) but any case I opened up that were there were empty. Maybe if you buy the game they might pop them in there, but not willing to take the chance. I am a collector, so I want everything in my case, not hopefully they pop it in as you buy it..

heh I just recommended that guy to someone =P I'm sure he does too as well, but who doesn't really? Sure its wrong, but it helps for trading, but I dont' want cash, I just want trades =)

Still iffy on that myself, but there's a feedback system here, much like there is for eBay. You can see it a rating slightly under somebody's avatar.

And I don't have any codes, but I'm missing quite a few of yours. So if you decide to sell please let me know.

880 points for 2009 (ultimate)

875 points for 2010 (Gold)

I'll take any trade offers, but I don't want any money. If you give me a system I really need/want, I'll get you to ultimate.. Games and guides I'll take from most every system. Cards: MTG Foil unhinged swamps. Systems: anything new, older would be a maybe (if I don't own it already). DVD's: more wanting seasons of tv shows.

To let you know, I'm still somewhat new too as well, seeing as I started back in August I think. But anyways, everyone I've traded with so far, I've trusted, and they've all pulled through. I would give half the codes they wanted at the start, then once I got the stuff in the mail, I gave them the other half, and it all worked out fine. Easy transaction (trade). I was worried at first too as well, but the person I first traded with told me that CAG is kinda a close knit community. So pretty much if you trade with some one and screw them over, it'll spread all over pretty quick not to deal with the person that screwed someone over. Thats what I got out of what was told to me at least =P
I'm sure you don't have the type of stuff I want, but if you do want to send stuff, then I take guides/games/systems/etc. So if you need codes at all, check my list and go from there ;)

Just a FYI, folks. Dissidia 012's release date is March 22nd, which means if you pick it up soon after release, you'll be able to get some more points before the reward year ends (which I'm guessing like last year, will be March 31st).
 
I'd gladly trade you my spare FF13 code my friend gave me, but I'm pretty sure that's not worth anything you have. I might be able to get more, but I'll have to see.

As for DS games, I enjoyed the 1st Space Invaders Extreme, & I think the 2nd one is pretty cheap by now (edit: Nevermind, noticed you already own it). If you're a Kingdom Hearts fan, I've heard good things about the DS game. For Wii, you only really have the 2 FF Crystal Chronicles games, which I heard were ok, but nothing great.

Second. I am ultimate tier, what do people think this years prize will be. To be honost I hope its game related and not another mp3 player. I would like maybe a high quality statue or a FF edition DSi. I have a HTC EVO and dont need a mp3 player.
 
I'm interested as well as for what the prizes will be this year. A statue would be sweet, considering I got one from Club Nintendo.

If they do another calendar, I just hope I don't get it at the end of July like last time, making the 1st page of it completely useless since it was June/July.

Also, anyone getting Mindjack? That just came out, & S-E is the publisher, so I'm sure there'll be codes included.

I am missing both the 13 360 and PS3 code, but yeah. I don't think I have anything specifically worth a single code unless you just want a small payment over paypal.

And EPIC thanks for the advice! I found a wonderful deal yesterday because of it. I went out and picked up Kingdom Hearts re:coded from Best Buy (at MSRP) as a part of their B2G1 deal. When I hopped into the 360 section I saw they discounted their Limited Edition Fable III for the 360 because they had one left. So they were selling their sealed limited collector's edition for 29.99 and the standard for 59.99. I ended up getting it for free with the B2G1 special!

@Rabbitsuit: At the moment, I'm seeing if someone else needs the code & if they can trade one of their spares. & how'd you get 50 points for KH Re:coded? I only got 35 & I registered release day.

Hmm, let's see. I need 175 more points to reach Gold. Dissidia 012 will probably be between 30 & 40 points. Need to wait & see when The 3rd Birthday's going to be released, as a friend is gonna give me the code for that....Ugh, so close, yet I feel like I need so many. I need to see if I can go to Blockbuster and/or Family Video & get some more codes. Has anyone else done this? I did this last year & that's how I was able to get Silver.
 
That's really strange Zonic505. I'm not sure why it's different. I just input the code like I did all the rest and it gave me 50. So far, they've all given me 50 too. I didn't even know it varied.

As for that Blockbuster thing, don't see why that wouldn't work. Unless somebody went ahead and did it before you. I don't have a blockbuster card, and I'm not really interested in popping in and not renting anything, so I'll pass. Tell me how it works out though.
