The Official Square/Enix Members Info Thread (Year 2012-13)
So wait, if you can only register 18 games in a year, how do you ever get to 1000?
You need to check for promo, for example this year you could get 200 pts from Deus Ex, 111 pts From FFXI and 132 pts from FFXIII-2.

EDIT 03/19/12

I can now confirm FFXIII Platinum hit has it's own Points. The Code is the same as the regular edition : 91002

So is it certain the amount for ultimate is 1000 points and they aren't going to lower the points necessary for ultimate like last year (IIRC)?

Most likely, but last year it was from something like 1800 to 1000, it just didn't make sense before the drop

I'm not sure this has been discussed yet, but I just redeemed dissida 012 twice and got points for it (total 100). Both codes were 91036 so I'm not sure why they allowed it. The site usually says "The product has reached its registration limit." but for whatever reason it went through.

The program has been down for ages. How do promos work? I registered Deus Ex and only received 50pts.
Huh, weird I didn't get that email. Also, I think FFXIV PC and FFXIV Collector's PC has the same code.
FFXIV PC and FFXIV Collectors are seperate codes. Only game I know of that has seperate codes for the collectors and normal. Pissed me off to spend 70 bucks or 75 for the deus ex collectors for a normal code..

For some reason, FF XIII-2 (PS3 version) can be registered twice as well.

you need to check the member page, square page and this page regularly. The Deus Ex promo was before the program got down the FFXI promo was while it was down but you could keep your code to register once it got back up and the FFXIII-2 promo is still working.

I dunno what's wrong with FFXIV actually, I bought the CE edition and got CE points. I also bought the regular edition but still got "Final Fantasy Collector edition" in the list of registered game on my GF account (and was unable to register it in my account because i apparently already registered it) and when FFXIV got on sale for 9.99$ in my store i tried some codes and they were all CE code even if it was regular editions... Anyone got a regular edition that actually had a regular edition code in it ?

Don't understand why it did that to you, but the reason I said it is because I got the original and the collectors registered to my account. What it probably was is the store opened up all the collectors and just grabbed the game out of it, probably due to no one buying the collectors being so spendy and just selling it as the original..

Thats my assumption anyways

Damn, I forgot all about this year until I received the email. I have a stack of duplicates from previous years games (I already registered these games on my account) that I need to count to see if I can reach close to 20 games (on a new account). Is there any problem with creating a new account/new email address/new mailing address?

Removed the SC2 codes trade option, I have to find out what I need first.

That was a weird find by whoever found out that you can register 2 of each of the FFXIII-2 games for PS3 and 360. Took advantage of it, was able to just reach ultimate because of it..

Previous year, I had no problem creating new/alt accounts. But the new account signup link has been under maintenence since February. I check every so often.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same thing. After getting Ultimate for the past 2 years I don't think there's any way I'll be able to get it again on my account.

Also I'd be up for a SC 2 code...I've got some extras of some others.

No offense but I hope they audit it to prevent abuse like this. I can see a non-GH and GH edition or regular and CE but not registering the same game twice. That sir is fraud.

I don't care about "abuse", but if this becomes the standard it would be upsetting. It'd push point values for tiers even higher if we could register more than one of the same title per system.

Club Nintendo, sure, they keep the same low rate and it's from quite a few more titles (and now even including 3rd party titles). But this, heaven help us.

Weird, must only work for certain games. I tried the spare Dissidia 012 code I have that I've been hoping to trade (hint hint), and it gave me the registration limit message. Update: Code has been traded.

As for when rewards are announced, it's random. Last year, we had to wait MONTHS for them to announce it.

Hm, that's too bad. Thanks for letting me know though.

So how does it work exactly? Do you have to 'redeem' your points this year or can you have them rollover? I managed to just get enough points today. Had to buy 4 more games. ^^;

They will have a message on their blog notifying you of a form that you fill out. So keep an eye out on the blog or on this thread.

You don't redeem points. They just give you the prize(s) for whatever tier you reached, but you do need to fill out that form with your shipping address and stuff for them to send you your prize.

I wonder if people are able to register FFXIII twice because of the GH/PH version? Maybe instead of allowing you to register both versions, they just allow you to register 2 copies of either.

No when you register the GH/PH version it state Final Fantasy XIII Greatest Hit. And on my account i realized i had 2 FFXIII and a FFXIII GH... so i got 3 FFXIII registered o_O

No, this is in my store :p and it was the regular edition we got when the game relesed last year (we received quite a bunch). It may be because i live in Quebec and they alway do special bilingual package edition for our region... maybe they messed up and put CE code in every bilingual edition

You can still create new account. Make sure you are logoff, click on point, it will bring you to Square enix account log in. Instead of loging with your account create a new one on the right
I went to sign up a new account, to see if it worked, and it said it was under maintenance.
Weird... I just made a new one yesterday.
I went to sign up a new account, to see if it worked, and it said it was under maintenance.
You're doing it wrong then. Click log in and on that new page create an account.

If you click on "sign up" on the Member page it will say it's under maintenance. What you have to do is go in the scrolling menu and click on Points, or you can click on "log in", it will bring you to the log in page from Square Enix account and from there you create another account like the picture i shown above

It's funny after these past couple days, from having enough codes to make a new account become ultimate, I'm now down to 17 different codes. Several are only 2 or 1, so if its 2, one will be 3 dollars, and 5 dollars once its only down to one.

Thanks again everyone that bought codes from me, glad I could help several of you out =D

Thanks for all the codes you sold me. I bought some from you for last year too. It's so much easier buying codes and making ultimate now than it was the first year. I spent a lot of money buying new games that I didn't play.

My account is finally at ultimate status. I'm debating whether I should make my brother's account ultimate. With the 18 game cap, I'd have to spend $125 to get that FFXIII-2 132 points promo. I dunno if it's worth it. The last two years of ultimate rewards were really good. But I really don't know anything about this year's rewards. Anyone have a clue? As nice as it is, I don't think I want another art plate.

I just hope this year, there's something for Bronze level. I was able to make it to Silver, but considering how it can be difficult for long time members to re-reach ranks (especially considering how there wasn't a ton of new games out this reward year), it'd be nice to get something for both Bronze & Silver.

Glad I could help, I would like to know what the reward is too as well. Hopefully it isn't gonna be the artwork of the FF4 game. If it is, oh well, at least its something to hang on the wall. But I'd muuuuuch rather it be a game of some sort that there is no way to get it unless you are a member. Would love to get a FF7 remake that is in disc format and not a download for psp or ps3. Bigger fan of 360, want to have it for that system.

FF4 game? Don't you mean FF13 o_O

so i have like 7 games i could register... is it even worth it for me to do so? i mean if i dont register them this year could i just register them later for next year? cause it seems like u need 20 games to get to ultimate... which ill never reach unless i buy codes i guess. also anyone have a pic of last years rewards?

No I do mean the FF4, other have posted pics of the Japan land reward. It was FF4 artwork. I'd hope to think it won't be that, but can't help buy assume thats what it'll be

I don't think they're handing out a prize for Bronze this year, because of the email they recently sent out.

This

Hello SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS!

Did you purchase any Square Enix games recently? When you opened any one of these great games did you run into the following card:

mem_card.png

By entering the serial code listed on this card, you earned SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS points that when added up with all the games you bought from SQUARE ENIX between April 1, 2011 and March 31, 2012 could make you eligible to receive one of our highly-coveted year end rewards!

As a SQUARE ENIX MEMBER, you have just a few more weeks to enter your product registration serial codes, earn points, and reach either the silver, gold, or platinum reward tiers.

The submission period ends March 31, 2012 so don't delay, and get those codes in!

Here's the FF4 plate again for those of you that haven't seen it yet
scaled.php

It's the same artwork that they put on the EU special edition FF4: Complete collection :psp:. I wish it was based off of Amano original one for FF4 though.

blah. i think the ultimate prizes have mirrored the US ones that followed later, so I mean it's free technically speaking, so I shouldn't complain lol.

WAAAAAY off topic, but if anyone is a club nintendo member.. About a week ago you would of gotten a new reward item in email. If you've gone to the website, it was promoting Luigi. They even changed the Hat logo on the site to his, and the background image of Mario to Luigi. About a day or two ago they changed it all back to be based on mario. Just wondering why they would've done that. I think it's pretty cool to make it Luigi based for a wee bit o time. Not just a day or two. Unless people complained that it wasn't Mario.. Who knows =P

Just saying that useless info, sorry if it bothers anyone not being SE member related

Another art plate? Yeah, I think I'll wait till next year. I have several codes but I really have no idea what I have and how much more I'd need, so I think I'll just wait it out.

Now watch it be the new iPad or something ;).

Luigi wears green and it was on the day before, during, and after St. Patrick's Day.
