The Official Square/Enix Members Info Thread (Year 2012-13)
For those that will attend PAX, here's something interesting

Also at PAX East this year our Square Enix Members team is back, giving you an opportunity to sign up for some great Square Enix rewards. Not only will you be entered into the Members program, giving you gifts year upon year just for registering Square Enix games, but you'll also be entered into a variety of raffles for prizes on the show floor.

Also for those who have the time, drive, and pure love of gaming like I know you do, come by the booth, sign up for Square Enix Members (or register at the event if you're already a member) and receive a passport:

This passport is your ticket around all the games at the booth.
If you complete all the demos at the Square Enix Booth at PAX East and turn your passport back into Square Enix Members, you'll be entered to win a prize pack that includes every game from the show!
Every passport turned in automatically receives a free gift from Square Enix!

If only I could be there... I wish. :(

Yeah same, I'd love to go to a convention, but I don't think they'd come to TX except Quakecon :p

Maybe one day I'll save money and head out there.

where is pax east and what exactly does pax refer to? I know there used to be a PAX TV station but that was taken off the air 10+ years ago.

Imagine if you lived nearby and could go any time! I so wish I could. :(

That's pretty cool. Glad to see some events like that being hosted by Square Enix Members. Hopefully there will be more to come. And I know I shouldn't complain, being in Nevada and all, but I do wish we could pick up a major gaming convention. That said, we have the Classic Gaming Expo and The Consumer Electronics Show, but I'm not a fan of either.
Right, right, I shouldn't complain

Also have this thing called "Anime Vegas"... may the lord help anyone with expectations should they attend.
I think once word got out about the iTouch they gave out a couple years back, and people became really aware of the rewards, they wised up and haven't been putting out as high end items anymore (comparatively). Who knows though, maybe they'll surprise us.
I can understand that for the ultimate prize. But I wasn't expecting them to completely remove bronze (for two years now) and have an awful gold prize as well. Silver, well I have to admit the silver prize with the misc preorder/first run bonuses were better, imo.

It's the Penny Arcade Expo in Boston(http://east.paxsite.com/). It's only the third year it's been going on on the East coast, but it is a lot of fun. It most certainly has nothing to do with the TV station thank god lol.

I wish Square Enix Members would go to either WonderCon, San Diego Comic Con, or Anime Expo. I could go to any of those!
lol. Last year I got a crappy bag and all the leftover preorder bonuses.
Forgot to mention that they were handing out PILES of old preorder bonuses at NYCC. So even I hadn't bought any games I could've gotten them for free.

fuck this thing, I missed the deadline to register my points. Missed the bandwagon again!! This thing just isnt covered anywhere. No news nothing. Ill set a reminder for next year.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR....

^^ They do send you a reminder email with about 2-3 weeks left for the year. Sounds like either you haven't checked your email, pass over it, or it was sent to your junk folder.
Just barely got to gold, and I think I might've gotten screwed. I own the CE to FFXIV, but the code in the box was for the regular edition of FFXIV. Did this happen to anyone else? According to my spreadsheet, the CE is 91016, regular edition is 91003.
Yeah, that happened to me.

Just a quick heads-up that Heroes of Ruin for 3DS is being released June 26th. I'm keeping an eye out for Theatrhythm's release date & will post it here once it's announced.

UPDATE - New release date/ game announcement

06/26/12 - 00000 - Heroes of Ruins
04/26/12 - 00000 - Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Ultimate Edition for Mac ( No idea if this actually has a point card... but probably not, i'll update when i know )

Mhm, sadly that's one game I won't be picking up. I played that too much as a kid. After I finished getting everything in it, I'd just make a new file and do it all over again. And after I did three, I'd just delete them all and redo them again and again.

I even wrote my own strategy guide to it for my friends. Wonder what happened to that thing...

It'd be awesome if I could start with the Master Quest. But you have to beat it at least once to unlock it, right? I guess a 7 hour power-through isn't too bad though.

yeah you need to beat it once before you unlock it. I got all 20 hearts before I beat the game. Hard to get the skultulas, need to play master quest now. But not having the time to do too much of it now. As far as the bust a move game, yeah it does get kinda boring. Just wish they would make a 3DS Bubble Bobble. I would love to get my hands on that

just called a gamestop to see if we can preorder the final fantasy theatrhythm, but not yet. I just want to preorder if there will be something with it, such as members points, or preferably a take home item rather than dlc

^yeah they looked at me like I had 3 heads when I tried to preorder it the other day... so I just ended up preording from Amazon instead.

Anyways, I was able to get Ultimate again for 2011-2012... so I'm super anxious to see what the prizes will be!

When are they typically announced and when do you usually received the item(s)?

Well, there is no typical announcement I could tell you of, Romeo. For the first year, the prizes were announced well in advance of the program's year ending. For the second year, we had to wait a few months before news of the rewards finally arrived.

The only thing I don't remember is.. Don't we need to fill out the order form for the prize? I don't remember when we got it last year, thought it was at the end of the square year, if so though, haven't seen it yet.

I think we filled out the form to get them in April last year, but the prize didn't actually arrive at my doorstep until July/August... if I'm remembering correctly...

Last year, I remember we didn't even find out about the prizes until a few months after (May 20th) & the deadline was June 26th to fill the form out to get your prizes. They didn't ship until mid-Sept. & this was going by the official Members blog.

Minus 150 points for all of us :(
Square has decided to go digital only with sleeping dog, tomb raider and hitman apsolution PC vertion

UPDATE : 04/11/12
Added the Sleeping dog release date for PS3 and 360 (05/14), PC is digital only.

digital only is so dumb I think. You get bored of the game and need space for something else, then if you want to play it again, what then?

FUUUUUUUUUU~!
The twitter handler said that the announcement of the prizes would be soon. Dunno if I can believe that though.

Oh, and does anybody know what the book is shown here?

They were being given away at PAX East, like the Artplate, TO Cards, and other preorder bonuses.
not sure what the book is exactly, but it says Final Fantasy on it at least. Got a touch screen, so easy for me to zoom in, thats about all I know =P ..Sorry

It's probably FF4, considering it'd be promoting the Complete Collection on PSP.

& saw the tweet saying they were going to announce the prizes on the "very near horizon". Hopefully, this means sometime next month or so.

I was there, pretty sure that's the book that came with the SE of FFXIV. The pages are blank, so you can write your adventures in them.

Has there been a sign-up for this year's rewards yet? I remember last year there was a two week window you had to claim the prize.
No, you will get an email when they do that announcement. Plus you'd be hearing it all over this topic.
Ok. Thanks.

I talked to tech support and they said it's supposed to be like this. Has anyone actually registered FFXIV separately from its Collector's Edition?

I have registered them both. The orginal will come up as Final Fantasy XIV (PC) while the collectors will come up as Final Fantasy XIV Collector's Edition (PC) and the code numbers are correct (I think). I got the original next to me, the collectors I would have to look for it and open it up (which I'm not willing to do that).
