I'm in PA and there were a bunch of copies available. I tried to get the same Blu-ray ($14.99), but I got shut down. Oh well, still a great deal.
 
FYI the Gamestop "exclusive fighters" are just a one-time use 5x5 code insert in the game box that just happens to expire 90 days from today.

i checked last night they would need an override if you wanna get the blu-ray from best buy. it doesn't come out to free.

so yeah it's still better than employee discount
 
Well I just entered my code for the $10 PPV cash. I have Comcast so maybe its different for other cable providers, but it said it will show up in 2 billing cycles...which would mean...July as the earliest month I could use the cash.
 
Oh man, I dunno why I thought I could just walk into BB and pick up a copy--every BB store was sold out within store opening. I just got lucky and called in around 11ish and one of the stores happened to have one last copy. The DVD selection wasn't good either, but at that point, I was just lucky to even get the game.
 
I can't fucking believe it... I canceled my pre-order at Gamestop to get the game at best Buy, and both BB stores in my city are sold out.

Now I have to hope I can find it someplace else, and get no bonus stuff. Son of a bitch.
 
has anyone tried to get a price match from walmart on the best buy deal? Im not sure what theyd give you for the ppv cash, but it would be interresting

I also completely underestimated the demand for this title and amount of copies BB would have ready and almost paid for it. Very lucky to have scored a copy w/bonuses. :p
 
You guys that got fucked, for the future with BB, go online and secure what you need for the store near you. I got the game, the 2 disc best of 2007 (awesome DVD) and the 10/10 deal on Sunday morning. It was all ready to pick up today (the GC is in the mail now, no biggie)
 
Ugh, I pre-ordered on bestbuy.com on Sunday, they email saying I can pick it up on Tuesday. At work today, I check online around 4 PM and it still shows the store has it in stock. I head over after work, and they're all OOS. They had two full days plus 7 hours today to set my copy aside for pickup and they didn't do it.
 
NYC best buy on 62nd and broadway had about 8 copies out for each system at opening. got a little worried because there was a bit of a crowd waiting to get in, but it turns out nobody was there for this game haha. snagged the best of 2007 dvd to go with it. very happy!
 
got the game... best of 08 (idk why everyone is getting 07?) and $10 gift card... i'll check if it sold out in my area out of curiousity.. i remember when SFIV came out it was sold out everywhere

Raise holy hell with the store and if that doesn't work call corporate and raise hell with them. You should get compensated for pre-ordering and not getting it.
 
Got mine on release day at 10:30am eastern with ufc best of 2008, $10.00 ppv cash and $15.00 dollar gift card because I had a coupon. It only cost me 13.29 out the door using my $50.00 best buy giftcard.
 
Does anyone know Best Buy's policy for returns on In Store Pickup orders? My copy of UFC does not boot up and I want to know if I can just go in the store and get another copy.

its going to be very ymmv but go there and raise hell if you get turned down tell them to try it out themselves because there are numerous 360 stations lying around with various games on it in store.
