No problem.

I know from experience too; My old officemate found a loophole for ordering software/equipment and kept ordering new stuff for us. He came over with my team lead one day and they asked, "Do you know any reason why there would be 4gb in a laptop and the system would only should 3.2 or so? We've tried everything." It was awesome for me because they ended up swaping enough RAM around that all of us ended up with 3gb of RAM in our workstations instead of the normal 1gb.

Careful, you might develop (if you haven't already) some sick, twisted fetish in which you can't get off unless Mass Effect 2 is on in the background or something.

I should pick ME2 somewhere down the line....it was $10.xx at Walmart not too long ago. The CE I had sealed I sold for a little over $100 on eBay a couple months back. Although I didn't really get into ME1, from what I hear it seems I might like ME2 more.

Hell yes. Don't forget the rack.

Your best bet, even though you hate your PS3 to pieces, would be to roll with the PS3 version when you can find it on sale down the line before ME3 comes out. The only problem with that is that you'd have to play the finale (ME3) on the triple too. The interactive comic does a decent job of summarizing ME and allows you to make the 5 major choices that seem to be important enough to matter in ME3. :) Plus it comes with almost all the DLC (if not all the DLC), so if you can stomach the idea of ME3 on the PS3, playing through ME2 on the PS3 might be your best bet.

Don't see that on mine (Netflix, Dragon Age Origins, Uncharted 2, Naruto: UNS2, WKC, Demon's Souls, Angry Birds, and LBP2).

ME2 on PS3 only has the three major add-ons plus Cerberus Network.
That's cool...congrats! Now hook me up with tickets to this years E3 :D
Apply for a game writer position at Examiner.com, write 3 articles a week (200 words each is good enough) and I can get you in no problem.

I was that $$$$a playing Uncharted 2.

Went to a 70s midnight skin flick (Disco Dolls in Hot Skin in 3D) with some friends. Probably the worst movie I've ever seen, but it was fun watching it in a theatre with drunk people screaming and making cat noises.

I tapped that...as Commander Shepherd.

Damn, I am getting to the point in my career that I really need to invest in my own gear in order to take the next step. I just got out of most of my debt I would hate to go right back in it but its shit or get off the pot time.

The camera I want is 6k, the audio package I need is 4k and thats the bare essentials. Including things I can beg borrow and steal from people.

I need to hit the lotto.

If you stay busy, how long would it take to pay off what you buy? It sounded like you did a good amount of work.

Well my biggest fear is buying gear and not working enough to justify it.

Understand that being a freelance production worker is a rollercoaster. I do pretty well especially for my age but I might make 6k this month and 20 bucks the next 2 months. Through no fault of anyone..just the gigs are not there. I just never know. I always make it a point to ask the older camera/sound guys about it and they all say its just par for the course in this field. No matter how many years you got it will be the same...a endless ride of finding gigs.

A guy once said to me, "You know what happens to Tom Cruise when he is done with a movie right?" "He starts looking for another job because he is now unemployed."

But to answer your questions it would take roughly 5 or 6 years to even break even on it if something crazy doesnt happen (which I doubt but still) and I loose clients due to whatever.

The thing is I think I hit the glass ceiling, I cant get any new higher paying gigs without my own gear so it is a must if I want to excel but I dont really have 10k just lying around. Also remember that just like with computers as soon as you buy gear its already outdated. And for whatever reason people hate for you to rent gear for there gig. I dont know why, they want to hire you as one whole package. There are already 2 new models of the camera I was going to get coming out next year. Ah well, hope for the best I guess.

There has been no gas or power in parts of our town for 2 days. It was 8 degrees last night. Thankfully, it's not effecting us. My brother is SOL, though.

Do I really want/need a PS3? Not sure I want to explain to my wife why I got it. But at $210 for the Amazon BF Bundle it was hard to pass up. Thank God I've got most of the day tomorrow to decide on cancelling the order or not....

It's a pretty great system the 360 had been my main/only console for years, I'm starting to full swing it at the trip now.

Hardest part will be justifying it to the wife as to why I got it. If I can come up with a solid reason, then I won't cancel the order.

It will prevent you from going out and cheating on her with another woman.

That is very true. I tell her stuff like that all the time. Most of the time she is like whatever. I think I could get away with telling her it was a new Blu ray player, that cost $200...

Looks like I'm stuck with it. Oh well.

I have both a 360 and a PS3 and I have to say that the PS3 is the underdog in my house. It works great as a blue ray player and it does have a lot of powerful features in it but when it comes to gaming I would much rather be on a 360.

PSN is god fucking awful. Whenever I play my PS3 I feel like I am trapped in a basement by myself because there is really no way to communicate with any of my friends. A lot of my gaming is due to my friends being in other states and its really the only time we ever talk and its a hassle to force everyone to all play 1 game and then have to mute everyone else in the game. I have no idea why they cant upgrade that.

I have no beef with either system but the box gets way more face time.

So I tried out EyePet today in the 3D. It was fun but it made me play on the floor, which of course my cat is all like hey whatcha doin, hey pet me, hey I want the ball.

I probably shouldn't have bit on it, but I couldn't really pass on it, despite not needing it. It comes with 2 games and a Blu ray movie. I might be able to sell or trade the 3 for something. I'd rather get the GOTY of Undercharted 2.

That could turn into a great youtube video.

Again, its a great system with some good games....I just rarely every use mine other than when exclusive titles come out.

I'm sure as time goes on, she will become jealous of the EyePet (aptly named Songoku) and plot his furry demise. Though me getting on the floor is going to be a rare occasion. I already get pissy to have to get up and stand for Sports Champions. Like what does the game think it is, making me get up from my nice comfy couch to throw a frisbee. I mean the Wii never made me get up. But now between Kinect and Move... I'm getting exercise. What the hell?

Oh, I don't doubt it. I just should have held off on buying one now. But too late for that. Guess I will make the most of it.

Icebox cake is chilling in the fridge. Pictures are hung. Towel hooks are hung. Bathtub grout is removed and brushed, ready to be grouted. On the way to the supermarket to get white chocolate chips to make a highly alcoholic fudge cordial. Today has been productive. Nothing like a raging headache that you need to distract yourself from to keep you moving.

This makes zero sense to me. You can't pass up on something you don't need?
