hey OTT, what's going on, i'm panzerfaust and i roll Goteki 45. their ships don't have any impressively high marks in any one category (decent shields for the speed IMO), but they ride nice and i dig their aesthetics, so i've taken home a lot of gold with them. though i hope we can get along regardless of what team we all race for.

anyways, just wanted some input on a discussion that i felt kind of branched into OTT territory -- penis bulge vs female breast size in media, primarily video games. one side thinks it's shallow and distasteful to always have women with slightly larger than the average breast size, and the other side said it makes sense since males are also sexualized in similar ways. but you see, the former side throws out the analogy that breast size with female characters is like penis bulge in male characters -- saying how one is depicted heavily and the other is not.

and really, wtf kind of argument is that? those 2 issues are on such different levels....

but i digress, and hand the discussion over to you. also which female shepherd is the hottest?

Everyone in my department says no one has stayed in my position for more than 5 years. As my 4th year approaches, it starts to ring truer and truer. I need to go back to school or find a new job. This position is going to drive me insane.
 
That sucks MNl. My position is generally 2-3 years but that's because there's a lot of upward momentum to get people up the chain, can't complain about that.
 
I feel you Sneaky, the last 2 weeks I had so many concert to set up. The Guess Who, Reo Speedwagon and this week Grand Funk Railroad. In the last 15 days I have worked 115 hours and its not even close to being over.

Ah well, good thing there are no games out right now that I want.

How can anyone, ANYONE, watch what has been going on and think that the GOP is doing a good thing? They game the fucking system to make sure the rich stay rich, and whatever happens to the middle class, tough shit.

So you guys think I should install Broken Steel before I finish the game? Exactly what does that do?
 
Yeah, install it ASAP. Install them all! The loot you get from each one is pretty cool. I made sure to go into each DLC with only my essentials, so I can carry back as much as possible without having to leave shit there and fast travel over and over.

Broken Steel raises the level cap to 30 and lets you continue playing after the bare bones Fallout 3 ending. New missions, perks, enemies, etc.

You COULD just hold off on installing Broken Steel until you're ready to finish the game, or a higher level, cause the game does put those really powerful Super Mutants (Masters, I think?) all over the wasteland and they can be a real pain in the booty if you're low-leveled.
 
I'm at an 18 and 1/2 right now. I think I've done all of the achievement side quests besides the cola one.

Is there a way to easily get the 50 terminals achievement? I suck at those.
 
Are you just guessing or do you know how to hack them? Also if you didn't know, if you fail a few times you can exit then try to hack it again. You will start over but you will have another 3 attempts at it.
 
Idk, I've only unlocked like 10 total. I gave up on unlocking anything passed Easy. :lol:

I do what DTF just said. Try a few times and exit right before it locks.

i understand the logic behind it, ie matching to the letters. It just takes forever for me because I'm a dummy. :D
 
I'd play operation anchorage and mothership zeta first to get the boring shit out of the way. You get really nice loot from both, too.

Don't forget there are two special selections: and {}. One of them refills yer attempts. The other removes an incorrect answer from the possibilities.
 
I might have the formatting a little wrong, but if you hover over different things in the area you can see them get highlighted. IIRC there can be shit in-between the braces/brackets/arrows as well, like and it'll still work.
 
Throughout the screen there will be words and shit, but there will also be sets of characters in opening ( ,},] ) pairs. I can't 100% remember which do which but they highlight as selections when you mouse over them and they either restore attempts if you've fucked up, or they remove incorrect answers.

Think like:

Clicking the or {ASD} would do some shit to help out with hacking. Sometimes you can actually end up with only one possibility which makes it cake.
 
No, they don't. They're nice freebies. Here's the description from the Fallout Wikia because it puts it better than I can:

There are also things you can do with the characters that are not part of words. Clicking on matching brackets (i.e. () [] {} , even with other characters between, but not a whole word between) can remove a dud password or reset the number of remaining guesses to four. The brackets must be of the same type and on the same line. Although you cannot match brackets with a whole word between them, you can match brackets separated by the dots that appear when a dud word is removed ( ). Also, two or more opening brackets can be matched to a single closing bracket ("[ [ ]" on a line gives you two chances), but the opposite is not true ("[ ] ]" only gives you one chance). When you scroll across this type of entry from left-to-right, the entire entry will be highlighted letting you know if you've found one or not.

Munch - I just save right before I'm about to hack a terminal and then If I get it wrong I just reload. Also, holy shit balls at that thing sneaky posted. I never knew that.
 
I think I just started hacking any terminal I saw to get that cheevo, munch. And like they said, you can back out when you have 1 attempt and try again.
 
I think I found out about that shit on my second playthrough. Pretty sure it's never explained in game and I only found it thanks to scouring the wiki for bobblehead locations.

Oddly enough, the hacking cheevo is still one that I do not have. I really should re-install and finish up my game since I have all the expansions now.
