Hey OTTshare, I'm getting the urge to go buy SP vs. The World on PSN -- did we get anywhere with figuring out if you guys are on board?
I want to play that. My only concern was that it would be too short but that doesn't seem to be an issue.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead
:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:
I don't know why DarthPuma wants to come back to CAG.
He messaged me on Facebook yesterday saying that he wanted to come back.

I know Ugamer was wanting a few more reviews to come out, but so far the only complaints I've heard are lack of online coop and some freezing problems.

I don't think detractors of the first dead rising will like this screenshot:
Offline coop is good enough for me. Looks like Otis will live on in the form of Stacey.
Yeah, but you live with another gamer or something.

And not only otis, but specific (and probably somewhat limited) "safe" places where I would assume you could save seem to have returned too.

I'm stoked -- I really want it to be a pleasant surprise, kind of like Bioshock 2 mostly was... where people write it off because the developer changed, or because there were a lot of polarized opinions on the first game, but it comes out of nowhere and delivers a solid sequel for fans of the first.

Haters gonna hate.
Yeah, but you live with another gamer or something.
Yup, me and my brother. Game buddies and best friends.

I loved Dead Rising, and can't wait for 2. I'll either love it or be very disappointed, don't see a lot of middle ground for me.

I know I'm not perfect, believe me. But sometimes, I am so effing clueless as to how my words can be so mis-read and so much garbage projected on me... Honestly. I'm pretty simple, when you love someone shouldn't you just want to cherish that person? I don't get it.
Dead Rising 2 has offline co-op? Well shit, there goes all my careful budgeting.
Drop in. =)
What's wrong with the screenshot?
Chuck is actually left handed? No wait, I know. ...that isn't Frank! :headache:

Seriously, I don't know. Unless Frosty is referring to chop till you drop and there being no zombies?
What's wrong with the screenshot?
People who hated the first game bitched about the timed events, otis constantly screaming at them to do shit, and the saferoom (and couple bathrooms) save system. It looks like (1) you still have the timed event mission structure, (2) there's someone who will call you and prompt you to hurry to do things, and (3) the presence of "a safe room" which sounds like the save system may have been tweaked but not overhauled. All conjecture on my part, but that screenshot reminds me of a lot of what made DR great and a lot of what I hear people bitch about.

For my own sake, I hope I'm right, because it means DR2 could live up to the first game, and that I'll enjoy the hell out of it!

Oh, and here's the screen tiredfornow was referring to:

The save system's been public knowledge since around E3, maybe even earlier. You get three save slots, but still have to find bathrooms or safe rooms to save the game.

People hated Dead Rising because Capcom poorly conveyed the message of how to play that game properly, which wasn't about playing straight through the game that is the way most games are done.

I really don't need animals in a zombie game.

edit: at Frosty:
:grouphug:

I'm still not gargling.

at Frisky:
If the animal wasn't contaminated, you'd think the zombies would go after that animal.

Even once you explain it to people, people get pissed off that they have to replay certain sections once they're a higher level or that they have to trek all the way back to the security office or find a bathroom to save.

3 save slots is a nice upgrade though, that was a legitimate bitch.

And if you're in Vegas and zombies are running amok, what really happens to the Tigers that ate sigfried and roy?

Not a fan of Resident Evil, FriskyTanuki?
---
It seems like you can turn ammo into explosive ammo on some weapons? I like that.

It was the Wii version of DR that makes me not a fan of seeing animals in DR2, as there were a ton of the birds and poodles that made that version annoying.

You played that? Frisky, I thought I knew you.

Did you even see the cover? Where is Franks dang camera?!! Frank is a photographer. You take pictures of the incident. So clearly the best way to port the game is to take the picture-taking aspect out. Along with all the zombies.
Fixed.
It was only challenging if you were going after some of those ridiculous achievements. The game was just stupid.

"hmmm...lets see...horde of zombies...oh, I know, I'll just move a few of these benches in their way, that should...OH SHIT, THE BEES DID IT?!"

I could see that -- but I don't think it'll be shit like poodles and birds, just random exotic animals used in Vegas type shows, I hope.

So for SP, we have:

Me: Yes
Mojimbo: Yes
Ugamer: Needs more reviews?
SeanR: Don't know
Bioshocked: Yes
It was only challenging if you were going after some of those ridiculous achievements.
I have all but five and seven day survivor. And I haven't gone for those because I didn't want to risk running the 360 for so long that it would red-ring. None of those chievies were impossible to go for.

When did you move benches in their way? Their was a barricade during the opening sequence, but it didn't hold. As it wouldn't hold (if there was such a thing as a zombie attack).

If you found the game stupid, that's fine. I simply don't understand what point you're attempting to make about benches and bees?

It was wasps. Not bees.

Thank you, Spoony.

True, I'm just hoping they don't go crazy with them and limit them to be more like the criminals on the jeep that roamed the courtyard in the original.

Do it.

With the sony game sharing stuff... once you have someone else's login information to DL again Product X, couldn't you login with that login information over and over and see what else of theirs you can download?

Dead Rising 2 might be the first game I pay full price for since Modern Warfare 2.

I'm still convinced the first one is easily one of the 360's best exclusives.
