I went in to gamestop after school to trade in a wal-mart 3 pack. Then I went to wal-mart to get more... they had none left :( Apparently me and my friends bought all of them. So I go back to gamestop and tell the lady I'll pay the rest of my Tekken 5 pre-order out in cash. I do.. however the receipt says no artwork :( I bitch to her but she assures me that she'll steal one for me... she's cute and I think she likes me.

Anyway I head off to ebgames to get like ~$25 credit for another 3-pack and whirl tour. The guy in front of me in line is offered "$10 credit for any game if he puts it toward Gran Turismo" "His manager said that although it says excluded games don't apply, he doesn't care and he wants us to take any game."

Now it's my turn in line and I inquire about the deal. He says he'll give it to me.. He gives me $40 credit and I pay the other $10 and well.. I have GT4 pre-ordered now. Right after he completed the transaction, his manager calls him and tells him to no longer take any POX games.. I guess I was the last one. Anyway, I don't want GT4.. And only saved about $15 doing this deal... So I'd rather turn it into cash or store credit. Do you think if I cancel my pre-order I can get $40 in credit + $10 in cash? Or how about if I don't cancel it... but I return the game instead... hmmm
 
If you go back when a different employee is working, yeah, you could move your GT4 preorder to something else.

Whats in it? ford racing 2, corvette, super truck racing
What credit does eb give? eb gives like... $13-$17 for 2 of those games.. not 3... only 2
What credit does GS give? $10.40 for all 3, i started going to gamestop because the people at eb hate me now... i trade in a ton of crap..
What credit does FYE give? i don't think my FYE takes games
What are POX games? Pre-Owned Excluded. these are the titles that are excluded during trade in offers... some offers will allow POX titles though, like the $10 bonus for 2 games (excluded sports titles)

I don't remember which two. I have it on a receipt somewhere but I'm not gonna bother looking. Instead I'll tell you what me and my friend did. He came back from college one weekend and we bought like 50 3-packs. Then we drove around town hitting up every ebgames only trading in 2. Some places gave us cash (80% less) some gave us credit. I could only do it for a couple hours cuz I had to work that day so he did it solo for the rest of the day. So he didn't hit up too many. We only got around 25 of them traded in so we returned the rest (we had planned to trade in more).

Then we split up the money. I took the credit and he took the cash. (I used the credit to buy PStwo's). We each only made about $50 after all expenses (gas and original product price) etc.... Not that great....

So I suggest you start off by buying 2 3-packs and hit up 3 different ebgames for around $50 in credit.

What I meant by that is I am unsure if they are still doing the extra 2 for $10 deal. They were not excluded from that.

I believe the deal ends on the 27th... So if you can find games for like $1 each that aren't sports games or demos.. you can make bank.

Just today I picked up my Gran Turismo 4 pre-order and I'm picking up Tekken 5 on Friday :)

Well, I did the 5-for-1 deal on 2 games, DMC3 and Iron Phoenix. DMC3 were all non-POX games, but for Iron Phoenix the guy let me use anything. Anyway, I ended up transferring the credit from both onto the Tekken bundle. Throw in another 2-for-extra-$10, and I actually got $2.26 back when I picked up the bundle. As we're leaving, I tell my friend who came with to pick it up that I was probably out of pocket around $30 cash all said & done. :p
