Speculation is that CC may be getting in more games from their warehouses, so don't give up. I personally know of 2 CC's that have the games pulled until the sale officially starts, so once again...don't give up! And ladies and gentlemen, don't forget to tip your listkeeper! *cough*Ikaruga*cough*

Just got back from my CC (toledo)...there were like 20 people waiting for it to open, not much there, i managed to get Wrestlemania XIX (GC) which wasn't in either $4.99 bin, mostly old sports titles left
 
err i hope me waking up early better be worth it -.- 6 hrs of sleep and me not gettin the games i wanted..not a great combo.. ima check out the Lakewood CC in S.Cali...*yawns* ill be that girl kicking everyones butt to get ikaruga, disgaea and more =P *continues to wait*

i dont know if this was posted. but phantasy star 1 and 2 for xbox is 12.99 even though it says 19.99 on the sticker. just got back from my local CC and its been picked pretty clean. the guy i talked to said thats all they had left and wasnt sure if they would ever get more.

After a week of talking about how huge today's blowout sale would be, I was the first one at CC and, of course, it was no different than the other days of looking through lame sports titles.

What a letdown.
 
Well just got back from CC and I found Oddworld and about a billion sports titles. Well I guess Panzer Dragoon Orta is worth the $20 anyways.

As I expected the had jack shit in Orange, CT....A few people were waiting for the doors to open along with a fellow CAGer who I helped out. Tao Feng and Spy Hunter (for XBox) ARE NOT $4.99 they are $19.99 and should be crossed from the list. Restock, total bullshit.....not happening there....
 
I work here at circuit city.....every game on the list is a closeout game so in theory we should never be getting replenished on these titles. So if you dont see a game ask, and if the product specialist cant find it then ask about another cc that might have it:)
 
CC at Christyiana Mall in DE was wiped out in minutes. It was a joke. They had mostly crap anyways.

CC in Wilmington well stocked with thierd tier games and a couple good second tier. Boktai, Buffy, Swat.

If I've learned anything, from now on I will always go to the CC in wilmington. Hardly anyone there. CC at the Mall is ALWAYS a mess.
 
Charlotte, NC location is almost wiped out. Not much left and nothing worth going for. A bunch of old PS2 and PS1 titles mostly. Nothing worth noting.

this sale was so much more fun when only a few of us kknew about it. Now we have soccer moms and latecomers getting in on this.
 
I found P.N.03 and Rocky for the Gamecube at Northpoint Circuit City in Alpharetta, GA. They had more PS2 and XBOX games...very view gamecube games which is what I was looking for.

There was hardly anything at the Mobile, AL store. I ended up getting NHL 2003 (PS2) and Sled Storm (PS2), but that's it. Nothing that wasn't in the cardboard bin was $4.99.

My CC was absolutely picked clean. They had only the crappiest of crappy games in the 4.99 box -- which was still only like 5-10 games total.

This was in Williston, VT. Anybody else from around here?
 
My CC was wiped out, though I did find a lonely copy of Okage: Shadow King hidden behind a few crap titles. Hit the Salem NH location.
 
If you are in a highly populated area you probably won't find much. Things would have been picked clean last Satursay night and Sunday morning. I'm sure some CC's got things that weren't there last week. At the CC's in DE were games that were not available last week. Nothing special, no Ikaruga or VJ, but a couple good titles.
 
Well I went right when they opened today and left with three games and I was a bit dissapointed that I didn't find one of the games I had marked on my list and I had around 30 games marked.

On a side note if anyone has a sealed copy of Moto GP 2 for the Xbox and would like to trade me for a sealed copy of Moto GP 2 for the PS2 I would greatly apprecaite it.

I was really looking for Ikaruga, Disgea, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Capcom vs. SNK, PN03, Mega Man Battle Network 1 & 2, Mega Man & Bass, and many others.

What I did walk away with today was Dead to Rights (Xbox PH), Moto GP 2 (PS2), and The Thing (Xbox)

Ditto on Billy Hatcher. Had that one price checked yesterday, and forgot to mention that it did ring up at $19.99. And yes, I did have the redcoat scan the original UPC.
 
Nothing at the Tallahassee CC. About 6 or 7 cars where waiting outside. We all walked to the video game section and it was just like last night. Completely empty, except for old sports games, as usual. Good luck to everyone else.

Just got back and they're cleaned out in Roanoke, VA luckily I had gone last week before they even knew about it and cleaned most of it out anyway. Though I did talk to 2 or 3 friendly employees I had met last week and they told me they had had a restock.

College Station TX isn't any better than it was last night. I got a copy of Oni and Defender, found Threads of Fate for PS1...not much else though. I called The Woodlands (Houston), and Willowbrook. Both said they didn't have Secret Weapons or Disgaea (WIllibrook transferred me in circles before the idiot at video games answered and told me they didn't even carry Disgaea, as in it wasn't even in the computer...after I spelled it for him twice...of course, he sounded like he was smoking a joint instead of answering the phone before).

Yeah, I'm in Essex Jct. I read something here about the sale but waited until Thursday night to go. Not much left but 3 year old sports games. I bought a whole bunch of the non-sports games anyway. Went this morning and it was the same situation, so they didn't get restocked.
 
Chicago, IL suburbs are wiped out. No recent restocking of any titles whatsoever.

Schaumburg = wiped
Mount Prospect (Randhurst Mall) = wiped
Hawthorne/Libertyville = wiped
Deer Park/Killdeer = wiped
Spring Hill = LOTS of old sports titles, but otherwise wiped.
Crystal Lake = wiped

I did manage to find Splinter cell GC and Sega GT 2002 at the Randhurst CC, but that is the extent of it.

Almost all of the CCs around me set up the white 4.99 boxes earlier in the week, and they are now all basically empty.

The thing that struck me funny were the new plastic placards holding a corporate memo which basicaly read: "Dear CC Customers: Please note the $4.99 clearance sale is limited to titles IN STOCK and on hand. No Rainchecks. Please accept our apologies and sorry for the confusion -- as a Circuit City customer, we value your business." (not verbatim)

I read this memo as saying: "We're sorry that the prices went into effect one week early, but there's nothing we can do about our current shaq-fu selection." They probably had to act fast to type/print/mail these out in order for the CCs in my area to effectively cover their respective butts.

I did see a number of people walking around with the multi-page internet master list, with scowls on their faces.
 
Can anyone who still has their CC receipts post a scan here? I may have found a large retailer that will pricematch with no problems, but I need receipts to do it. They won't pricematch unless I have a receipt with the game I want.

Nothing of value left at the Arden store in Sacramento, CA. There wasn't much to begin with though, most if it was between fairly sucky and really sucky. I managed to pick up Tony Hawk 3 though, as I'd been looking for it for a bit.

Any news on the other Sacto stores?

Oh, and to all of you in the forum that were with us at the Arden store, me and my roommate say hi. =)
 
Went to my CC @ the East Towne Mall in Knoxville, TN thirty minutes late(had to buy breakfast). I found out at least 10 kids ran through the door and bought all of the good stuff, some carrying out 10-11 games. I didn't get anything good. All I got during the 3 trips to a 45-minute trip were:

Went to the Lakewood and Los Altos Center CCs

There were like 30+ people waiting outside and some of them were pretty vicious as we made our way to the games section. I remember a guy bumping into a chick in front of him, said "sorry" moved on and then I hear her boyfriend shout at 'im "YOU TOUCH MY WOMAN, I BEAT THE SHIT OUTTA YOU". Really, really great. After finding the bin empty I went to the Los Altos store.

There I managed to find two bins full of nothing good (crap GBA games and lots of copies of 101 Dalmatians for PS1), but as I scoped the shelves I did find:

Maximo
Summoner 2
Robin Hood Defender of the Crown
Haven

While not the most spectacular finds, they were still well worth my time and the $21.60 I paid for them.

So if you plan on going to Lakewood, don't bother. If you plan on going to Los Altos, don't expect anything in spectacular.

I'm glad I read that. Saved me an hour drive. I can't complain though. I got 6 games last week. Plus I got 26 or so last Christmas when they had a similar sale at the Martinsville CC.
 
In Huntsville, AL: I got there about 30 minutes early and waited for them to open; I was just about the first one in, without pushing or shoving, and I got the pleasure of quickly flipping through the games before anyone else could catch up to my super speed power-walk.

They had restocked for the sale today, but sadly, there was almost nothing but sports games (And Dr. Muto). There were a FEW that weren't, but they didn't have the ONE game I really wanted. I pretty much got pick of the litter before anyone else, which isn't saying much. Good thing, too; Immediately after I grabbed what I wanted, a duo of frightening toothless rednecks right off the cover of Redneck Rampage descended upon the game sale tables, greedily grabbing every game they could get their hands on that wasn't sports, until they filled up a whole basket. (Which, if you think about it, is a lot of games)
Some other people who seemed like good folks were as disappointed as I was at the lack of good titles.

One of the employees there told me they would be doing this each week until the shipments from corporate designated for that purpose stopped, so take that nugget of trivia with a grain of salt. It might be worth checking back next Sunday. He also told me the employees pretty much picked it over every day before anyone was even in the front door.
...I guess there has to be SOME benefit to working at Circuit City now and then, eh?

I nabbed a few games I sort of wanted, because I'm not into the whole "buy a ton of games I don't want, for Trade-In Credit" thing, but if anyone has a copy of Disgaea, I'd gladly trade one or more games for it.

In Colorado, only went to Westminster, had couple GC games, lots of PS2 games, and slightly less X-BOX game, all of which were mostly sport games.
