Please tell me pitfall is one of them. If the CPU beats them, I might have a chance of making the playoffs. :razz:
 
Wow, lost in OT against jets. A FB broke like 4 tackles after a catch to put them in field goal range on 3rd and 19. *sigh*

oh wow, forgot this was the last week. Woot, when can you play ubernes? I cannot play at all tomorrow, but can play friday from 3 pm-6 pm est time.
 
now? Friday is iffy for me I don't normally get home from work until 7 pm. I planned on getting out early, but I still don't think that will allow us to finish a game by 6.

edit: so not now, haha. availability is Friday 7-9pm EST; Saturday 5-9pm EST; Sunday mostly all day. I might be able to do early Saturday too, like noon.

n8 and I just finished our game. 24-3 Buffalo. Vick's inaccuracy was my major downfall. That, and not stopping Steven Jackson.

On that sack you got right before halftime where Vick was scrambling and then just stopped, my controller died. :rofl: It might've been a different game if Winslow could've held onto that pass off the deep corner route at the beginning of the 4th.

I think this is going to mark the end of my Madden 10 career. I've had great times, but I'm getting burnt out on the game. It's been a lot of fun with everybody.
 
CommanderZero, make sure you win your game. Then I won't have to play Mr Grand Cru. Not trying to undermine your skill level, but he has a tendency to beat the crap out of me.

Hmmmm, Saturday would work best actually at noon if you could do it. I forgot I have work Friday, d'oh!

Yeah, definitely a good game. You had me on my heels on that opening drive. And about that sack, I was wondering what happened, cause Vick just kinda stopped. Vick's passing was pretty off, but you had quite a few dropped balls too. Must have been that Buffalo cold weather, haha.

Also, I thought that fumble on the kickoff that I returned for a TD was a game changer. I scored 14 points in like 20 seconds there. My App State boy Marques Murrell laid out a brutal hit too, haha. You played a good game though. Just didn't go your way.

Yeah, the fumble return on the kickoff was disheartening. I've had that happen too many times this year.

It was a good game, which brings me to one thing EA should put in next year. I wish you could play exhibition games in your online dynasty. I know there are a few games I've played in this league where rematches would be a lot of fun.

Assuming I'm playing you in the divisional round, it seems like the games will be done by 7pm tonight. If those games are over by then, would you be able to play earlyish (8 EST) tonight?

gg Soul. I felt we were really battling with the play calling the first half and then it just got away. I'm surprised they suggested you go for it on 4th and 8 on your 2 yard line. I guess I'd have good enough field position to go up by 13, but 2 scores is much easier than 3 with 4 mins left. 2 terrible bounces came right at the end too. I think you had a 1st on 4th and long but your WR ran backwards past the sticks on his own accord so turnover on downs and then right after that I fumbled it on my 5-10 yard line but you were flagged for offsides. just bad luck on those 2.

edit: and gg Ivan. your record sort of scared the shit of me, but I checked out some of your recent box scores to see who you liked. I thought I would see more running out of you at first, but I think I adjusted to contain Witten and maybe not contain but at least not let Hayward-Bey breakaway for any big ones. I don't know what was up with Gore that game, he was a BEAST. There were two long runs where I was almost putting the controller down thinking the play was over and all of a sudden he comes roaring out of a pile for 50 yards. if he plays like that for me all playoffs I'll be feeling good.
 
GG Grand Cru, really rough start to the game for you as Harvin returned the opening kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown. My players were bouncing off of tackles the entire game for some reason, made things pretty easy for me.

Giants advance to the conference championship game.

Dang leftwich is so inaccurate sometimes.


It was pretty good playcall battling in the 1st half. I started off pretty slow but managed to strke fast later on.

Yeah, I knew from the beginning that I needed to contain Gore, but I couldn't figure out a defense that worked until close to the end of the game. Even then, he was still breaking loose for huge plays every now and then. I really should have stuck with the running game early. I've been used to playing a heavier passing game recently, since Chris Johnson was out with an injury for the last six weeks or so. Thankfully Higgins came up with a TD so I didn't get shut out! Good game, and good luck with the rest of the playoffs.
 
If Zero and Azu manage to get their game in, we might actually be able to finish tonight.
 
Well, congrats to seen. My Buffalo Bills aren't nearly as intimidating away from home. I think they forget how to play the game when the temperature rises above 35 degrees. I gifted him 7 points off a pick 6 on my opening drive, and then as the clock was winding down at the end of both halves, he ran hurry ups, and my defense couldn't stop him for shit. He scored both times, the final drive being the go ahead touchdown for a 24-20 victory.

Also, good job containing Steven Jackson. I couldn't get anything going. I think that's it for me with Madden. I'm not going to get any better, so this is as far as I'd get in the playoffs anyway, so I don't really see the point in keeping it. It was a fun league, and seen did a good job keeping it moving. To me, that was the best part. Good luck to the rest of you still alive in the playoffs, but I'll be shocked if BigAT doesn't win again.
 
GG n8rockerasu, I thought I had given you the game when I threw the pick in the 4th. When I got the ball back I knew if I was going to win I'd have to run the hurry-up as I was out of time-outs and it was my most fluid offense of the game (if you check the stats my offense generated under 200yds).

I'm confused though by you comment about quitting, but I guess like pitfall you both are into different games now.

Yeah, I thought for most of the game I did a good job stopping your offense. But whenever you ran the hurry-ups, my defense was just like "ahhh!!! what's going on???" I had a fucking dollar coverage with double x's and cover 3's on that last drive and somehow your wideouts just kept pulling everything in (when earlier in the game, passes were being broken up and knocked away). Also, that fucking face mask penalty did nothing to help me either.

As for me being done with Madden, there's not really much to be confused about. I just don't have much interest to hang around for another season to reach the same point in the playoffs (if I'm lucky), and then lose again. I don't really consider it quitting though. I completed a full season. I just don't care enough about football to improve my skills to compete with the better players. It's nothing personal. I'd just rather have the 850 points on Goozex while I can get them.

Yea that was crazy because right before i kicked it deep i had a feeling that i should just squib it because my special teams is week, lol but yea your team was bouncing off tackles especially Felix Jones, that fumble by Steve Slaton also put me in a bind oo well im sure we shall meet again, your leading our series 3-1 now so i got some catching up to do, lol
 
Im not sure if this has been discussed earlier in the thread but how does the off season work, do you guys just do another fantasy draft or are we doing the free agent draft and continuing from there ?
 
Hey, before I get rid of this game, does anybody want to go for the co-op achievements? Any time I hook up with a random online, all they want to do is play QB and throw bombs downfield. I don't need a great game, just one good enough to get the 3 achievements. Anyone interested?
 
I would be down for that. I won't be around at all tomorrow though so if you don't mind waiting a couple of days to do it, I would be in.
 
They still haven't played? If nothing is said by SNF I'm simming it so we can move-on; some communication guys!

We tried playing Friday but it dropped us twice. We haven't been able to play each other since. I think it's pretty clear we've communicated with one another.

I'm free all tomorrow night.
