The Sopranos season 6 *spoilers*

Anyone remember the episode where Max Casella showed up to watch for the bear in season 5? He kept referring to Camela as "Mrs. S". Didn't he used to refer to Doogie Howser's mother the same way when he was on that show? He used to always call her Mrs. H. Could it be some sort of joke tie-in?
Man I loved the whole celebrity handout storyline. The retarded way that works has irritated me for years
The best part was when Tony seemed unimpressed with all of Chris' "treasures."

I was disappointed in this week's episode. I did find it interesting that Chris has fallen off the wagon.

Next week's episode looks amazing!!!

"I could bury my cock in those fucking titties."

QFMFT.

I thought it was great seeing Artie take down that piece of shit, although I was sure he was going to get his on the porch or on the boat. The whole credit card scheme seemed like a pretty fucking ballsy(stupid) thing to pull nowadays. I was also sad that Chris seems to be falling again, I was really glad that he seemed to be shaping up in the first part of the season. Funny enough, the Ben Kingsley("fawwwk") thing didn't seem like much of a stretch considering that shit he pulled with BloodRayne.

Also, anyone know who the new made guys were?
Also, anyone know who the new made guys were?
They're part of the NY crew, so I don't think they had very much signifigance. I think it was just a reason to set up that Arties resturant was starting to go downhill, quality-wise.

Nice quote, btw. :)

Pretty good episode this time around. Interesting that Tony exercised some restraint with the hot real estate agent, but then took it out on Carmella when he got home.

Vito has a new man. Is that whole town gay? Or is it just the volunteer fire department. I didn't understand what that guy meant at the bar when he told the other guys at the table that Vito was "funny" and then winked at them. They all started acting really gay right after Vito came over and sat down, so I wonder if they were just messing around?

Do you guys think that AJ will finally get his shit together and get serious about life and work? I thought he might when he asked his mom to wake him up at 10AM, but that didn't work out too well.

Good episode.

Poor AJ.....clueless throughout the entire season, now even more of a tool. He's a deadly combination of Stupid and Naieve. They can't kill his character fast enough. I think they finally showed a glimpse of him realizing he's useless in the last episode when he had the panic attack at the end.

The Vito thing was interesting....I think by telling the other firefighters that he's "Funny" he let them know he thought he was gay, so they could act like themselves and not have to put up the "tough guy" facade. (???)

Oh. Good point. But the town as a whole seems to accept the gays there.

Yeah I thought the last episode was good. Maybe a little to predictable but good. After seeing Carmela button up his shit you knew he wasn't going to do anything with the Real Estate girl. And you knew AJ would fuck up trying to stab JR.
What is up with nothing real happening this season besides the first episode? Is Mr. Chase saving all of the big guns for the last half of the season in Jan?

The story for the game sounds cool, but I am not a fan of GTA type games.

eek, each character model in those screen shots looks like ass. except paulie, he looks pretty damn similar to his real life character
Vito's back in town! I'm anxious to see everyone's reaction when he walks through the door of the meat market...
me too.

Hey...alots happening.

There's tension in the family, everyone is pissed off for one reason or another. Bobby, Janice, Paulie, Sil (for being knocked out of the #1 spot after Tony recovered).....then whats his name after getting in the fight with Artie, even Christopher when Tony cracked down a bit on him with the movie thing and now losing his Mazaratti. Carmella isn't happy with her father or Tony on her house thing, blah blah blah

Then you've got the Ny situation.........yikes there are so many "active" plotlines so far its hard to keep track.....the next few episodes should have things happening, because they're running out of time to lay plots out and wrap them up by seasons end without them feeling rushed.

Frankly I hope they wrap up the VITO thing in a hurry...its just not that interesting and I dont want to see any more time wasted to "See Vito Start his new life in New England". He was a minor character up until this season.

Anyone else hear the news that it looks like DeadWood season 3 is the last season? Thats kinda depressing...DeadWood was like "Sopranos: Old West" :)
In fact, I enjoyed Deadwood probably more than Sopranos the past few years.

Hmm this sucks. I thought Deadwood is doing great on HBO. I wish they would have also never canceled Carnival.

Totally agree. Where was it said that Deadwood Season 3 is the last season. I also thought it was doing great for HBO.

Its all over the web. Basically HBO didn't pick up the contracts for all the actors, which means while nothing has been said, they've all been set loose to take other jobs. IE...no more shows.

Apparrantly with HBO it all boils down to how many people sign up and then cut their subscriptions when shows come on or go off the air. While Deadwood is a hit, its apparrantly not a show that people buy the service for.......and the actor who plays Dan posts on some Deadwood forum and he said he's really upset, that there was an unwritten promise that the show would go 4 seasons..but thats probably not going to happen now.

Booooooo.

Agreed..not one..but TWO grisly killings in one episode! Yay! :D

(seeking professional help)

I also love the AJ situation....although Tony smashing the winshield of the car is a bit laughable (if he had a sledgehammer he MIGHT have been able to put a hole in it...maybe) it was great to see AJ suddenly realize..his loafing days have come to an end. :)

Don't underestimate Mr. Soprano's super-human strength!;) Yeah, I thought that windshield was a little weak, too.

Was there no episode last week (Memorial Day weekend)? My TiVo didn't record one...

Tony must (and probably will) die
 Where the fuck does Mr. Gay come up with this notion?!

I thought the season finale would be longer than 1 hour, but apparently not.

yeah that didn't make sense to me either. especialy since have this season was about him not doing that...
So, when does the second half start? I thought it was an ok season...pretty anti-climatic in the finale though
January is when the final final season starts.

Last night just made me want more, what was the deal with the fed guy helping Tony? That move threw me off, also the way they showed Chris falling off the wagon and with the gal that Tony has been trying to fuck I was waiting for Chris to get his cement shoes. Then the talk on NY side I was then thinking that NY was going to whack Chris.

Edit: Anyone watch the season finale of Big Love? Big Love is fucking great!

really thought chris was going to get it when they decided to take seperate cars. pretty weak sort of ending, everything seemed too happy
really thought chris was going to get it when they decided to take seperate cars. pretty weak sort of ending, everything seemed too happy
Yeah, I thought for sure that Phil's guys would go after Chris at some point last night. I think he wanted to take separate cars because he really does want to break up with that real estate chick, and not go to the NA meeting with her.

Anthony Jr. is screwing a hottie!

I thought Tony looked ridiculous in that beret...

Yeah, a somewhat weak season ender...but you know its a setup for the last 8 episodes........so now we wait until January.

I was going to say this entire season of Sopranos was kinda boring, but I dont think it was really boring...I think its just the show has run its course. There's only so far you can take a story like this without changing the location or drastically changing the story. Example, now Tony's empire is just "going through the motions". Unless they had a major cast shakeup, or had him move to Miami to start a new family or something..lets face it...all the stories would just be about Tony getting laid, Chris doing junk, and so-on. Only I thought this season was a bit too much like Last season...Tony getting shot was a big deal, but the rest of the season so far has been minor characters getting in trouble.

Lets hope the setup for the last 8 episodes is worth it. Tho it will be sad to see some of the guys go...Tony, Chris, Sil..whoever...

I also thought Big Love is a great show, I enjoyed the entire run.....with the ditsy Margerine and the untrustworthy Nikki.....and that psycho son of Harry Dean Stanton's character ;)

AND NOW: Entourage and DeadWood...bring on the profanity...
.....and that psycho son of Harry Dean Stanton's character ;)

The scenes where they poisoned Albie were funny as hell.

I was disappointed that the Sopranos didn't end the season with something more than a fucking Christmas party.
Man did this season suck IMHO.
yup. There were some bright spots but overall nothing really happened... they are having trouble getting along with the NY crew - so they are in the same exact position as the end of last season...

I know it's just TV but there's no way by any stretch of the imagination in any situation at any time that AJ could bang a chick that hot. It's just impossible on so many levels.
Who's head did that guy take out of the freezer in his garage at the beginning?
i think it was the fat guy they stabbed the week before - they cut him up and drove all over the place dropping off body parts - the sewer was in connecticut...
Oh, yeah. I forgot about that scene.

IMO, I really believe now that

the 2 Arab guys are spooks working for the CIA. They're trying to get as much info. on Soprano and his crew without raising suspicion, which is brilliant, because they would never expect Arabs working with Agent Harris.

I agree......about the Middle Eastern guys...either they are in collusion, or they are being watched...and either way this leads us into PATRIOT ACT territory for the last 8 episodes......they wouldn't have spent so much time dealing with them throughout the entire season.

Then again, Chase has led us on wild goosechases before hasn't he.........

The way the show will end is war breaks out and NY kills AJ or Chris. From there a meeting is called and all hell breaks loose with a wild gunfight. At the end, we watch Tony die or get arrested.

I was somewhat dissappointed in this season. But when i first heard that this season would not be the last and there would be eight more episodes I kind of new this season would be kind of boring. Stuff happenend but it was all dragged out. There is a lot of random things going on but like stated above...they are not getting a long with NY and it has been like that for a while now. I love the Sopranos but I just think they have ran out of ideas.

I can see Chris getting capped, but not AJ.
I can see Chris getting capped, but not AJ.
Agreed. I'm sure that Phil will see Tony's hospital visit as weakness and use it to start a war. I see Chris bowing out early in the final 8. Even an attempt on Chris would have made the last episode less of a disappointment.

I think a lot of people were expecting an attempt at taking out Chris during that scene where he left the diner with that real estate chick. I know I was.

So

Is Paulie involved with AJ's new girlfriend, or was he just being polite when he came to the construction site?
I'm not sure but I don't think so - how disgusting would that be? The thought of Paulie Walnuts banging a girl before I got there is sickening. I would seriously have to reevaluate the chick - It would be like when Newman broke up with the girl Jerry was dating - she's just damaged goods at that point.

A lot of the newspapers are calling the finale a "misfire" and that the show "pulled it's punches". I feel that the acting was superb, but that the storylines were a little weak.

My only real problem is that they spent too much time on Vito, Tony's coma dream, and to a lesser extent Artie's Restaurant and the Paris trip and not enough on the aftermath of Adrianna's death (Chris dealing with it and Carmela looking for her), Johnny Sac's trial, and the Arabs at the Bing. I am going to be pissed if the series ends on two ancillary characters (the Arabs) bringing down the family.

I believe that Carmella will call up that detective to start an investigation into the disappearance of Adrianna. The last episode led us to believe that she would, because she had a few business cards for detectives. In fact, during that scene in the bedroom when Carmella picked up the phone, I was certain that she was calling the P.I. she spoke about.
