The "Stay Classy, Republicans" Super Nintendo Chalmers Thread
You spent over a half hour googling it and this is the best you can come up with?
lol keep attacking me, it shows your inability to discuss the issue. So far you have said "social security is fine for many years to come" and "what year was the trust fund enacted"

Nice competant discussion.

Knoell, pointing out the fact that your answer was atrocious and not really an answer at all isn't an attack.

Anymore than pointing 2+2 does not equal 5.

Still feel free to try to answer again.

Anyhoo.

Can't exactly pay medical bills when you are jobless = bankruptcy.

Can't exactly work when you are severely ill, right?

You know how many medical bankruptcies certain other countries have? Zero.

I don't know where to post this, but I gotta vent.

For the past several years I've been involved in republican politics in the state of Delaware. Mike Castle is one of my idols. But I've been involved in the last three elections. I've got a chance to see many of the state candidates and politicians. because this state is small, you can meet the govenor in the mall and eat lunch with a representative in congress. There are a lot of states in the nation where people never even meet their local representative, let alone their federal rep.

Having said all that, over the past several years I've also gotten to meet Christine O'Donell, work with her, actually see her at debates, and other stuff. When I met her for the first time several years ago I didn't know anything about her. Now years later, I know one thing. She's unfit.

I could tell sooo many stories. My personal favorite is when she advocated two years ago for invading Iran from Iraq. Or there's the mistreatment of her campaign staff. I've seen it! She blamed them for her 65-35% loss to Biden. And that's why she goes on a talk show and claims she won two counties when she didn't win any. Because she's also delusional. And she's know as a serial liar about her accomplishments and involvement in the community. There's the fact that she has no job, and has lived off campaigning the last five years. Or that she's had opportunities to actually learn how to be a local rep and serve on the state level, but she felt she was too good for that. For her, it's the senate or nothing.

The irony is, I work my ass off not just for my party but for my community. I attend civic league meetings. I work with legislaters. I actually see shit get done. Like the real shit including roads built and incinerators stopped. And the majority of voters I've met who have supported Christine this time around frankly, don't know shit. They don't even go to their own civic association meetings let alone ever been to a debate with Christine O'donnel. They listen to conservative radio and talk about cap and trade and have no clue about what she's really like.

And when I point out all the shit I've seen over the past four years, All the crap that she has pulled, they all look at me like I'm the asshole. That I'm just some establishment guy in the party towing the party line. That I'm not really a republican. So all of the sudden, I'm the creep. The guy slinging mud. It doesn't matter that everything I'm saying is true. That I was actually there and saw it in person. No, I'm just some establishment asshole.

There's a reason every person involved in republican party politics in the state of Delaware was against her. And not lilke, "We'll we support Mike but Christine is nice." More like, "Christine O'Donnell is the devil incarnate." You don't generate that much hatred from a group of people without reason!

And look, Mike wasn't a saint. And he made a major miscalculation. He did turn his back on the Republican Party in this state. I realized that two years ago. And I saw it this entire election. And this is why.

After going through shit like that, he stopped interacting with republicans. I mean, literally. And that was part of his doom. He'd show up to major republican events, wave, say a short speech, and get the hell outta dodge. And Christine played that up to the base on purpose at every event. She tapped into that. And it's his fault for leaving that opening there.

But really, here's a man who has dedicated his life to the state of Delaware. He knows goverment inside and out. Yeah, so he's not 100% on the republican platform. But that doesn't mean hes a bad man. Frankly, I have difficulty trusting people who tow the party line 100%. And who's Christine? What has she done? What original ideas does she espouse? What service has she ever performed for her community?

Yet she's the one that wins the primary.

And I'm the asshole.

coolstorybro. Thanks for sharing, seriously. Thanks for the Senate seat; honestly as a Dem, I wouldn't have a problem voting for Mike Castle considering how moderate he is.

Seconded. I heard a lot of mudslinging ads on WPHT this morning for both candidates - I was able to glean that O'Donnell was the tea party cat but don't know much about Castle.

The video you provided shows that the majority of the public doesn't want to think; they want a reactionary, charismatic leader. In the political climate of Fox News, being a moderate is a death knell. You go Arlen Specter or you lose. Moderates are only welcome in the Democrat party in the modern era - even Joe fucking Liebermann.

Sorry, AA, but ideas are dead, and intellect is dead. Seriously, Sarah Palin has political capital; what more evidence do you need?

Admiral, I don't want to be part of a dog pile or anything but welcome to our world.

Newt Gingrich remember isn't some up and comer, he was drummed out of office over a decade ago.

Republicans haven't been about policy for a very long time.

Who can blame the guy for not wanting to put up with stupid people like that? Sad that it cost him politically, but people don't want anyone of substance any more, they just want someone who can throw out a bunch of accusatory rhetoric.

Completely explains how Obama got elected. "Blame Bush" bumper stickers for all!

But Unclebob they agree with that rhetoric so it is true and accurate and a good thing that Obama got elected.

People can put whatever the fuck they want on their cars, but from what I remember about his campaign, Obama was trying to get on with life after Bush. If he's pointing fingers now it's only because that's what it takes to survive in this political environment.

That's an interesting story.

You should take out the cuss words and write it for a local newspaper - I think you have something worthwhile for a larger audience here.

Say what you want about the media, Fox is far from fair and balanced, and this shit scares me.

And, speaking earlier this month in Louisville, Ky., Palin said: “What would we do without Fox News, America? We love our Fox News, yes.”
You'd think it were some kind of religion. She and the rest of the knuckle draggers would be happy with fox news as their single source of information. I don't even care what you think of the media, we need more than one news source.

I also doubt she's running in 2012, she's got too good of a gig on fox to just walk away from the money.
To bad the Wisconsin voting system sucks in the first place.
This is irrelevant and on par for course for Republicans. But guaranteed not to make it into the news like ACORN did. Voter suppression is far worse than voter registration fraud.

Those idiot kids are about as diabolical as Ashton Kutcher. I swear, a bond villain could come up with a better plan.

It's really creepy, but then again social conservatives are always creepy when it comes to sex. They are so fucking repressed that it spills out in odd and dangerous fetishes. I'm glad she didn't get on that boat because who knows what the fuck would have happened.

I can just imagine it now, CNN correspondant found unconcious and naked on boat, drugs found on-board.

I think that's where the snide "stay classy" part comes in - because you *know* that the right will excuse both O'Keefe as well as Breitbart, like they have time and time again.

Nothing is contemptible when the right does it.

I saw a lot of comments on right wing websites condemning him.

Then again I saw a number of comments (>0) that said 'hm this doesnt seem like something he'd do' and 'lets wait till all the facts are out before condemning'

I spent a hot minute looking for the article to be covered on right wing websites, but it was nowhere to be found.

FOX won't touch it with a ten foot pole, particularly since they're implicated in part of it.

I'm loving the comments in the story also. People still call CNN the Communist News Network. I also love the comment that they'd rather believe a "falsely accused journalist over the commie scum at CNN."

Where the hell is the White Krazy Knight Knoell to come to the rescue? Where is he to lament about the poor sex deprived conservatives that just want to bring Jesus to all of us poor heathens? Can we please hear more about ACORN? Oh, the horror to not hear fair and balanced debate in this thread.

'looks stupid'?

that's it?

between this stunt, the Landrieu incident, and the ACORN incident, you have someone who is thoroughly dishonest and *clearly* lying to convey certain points. it is shameful frame-building, which is not journalism.

he should be made a pariah, at the *least* - just like Dan Rather, who was excommunicated from CBS for far less overtly partisan reasons (despite what some of you may think).
'looks stupid'?

that's it?
More like "looks rapist" if you can use that word like that.

Myke ia right, just watch this die and get no more big press and remember it the next time someone cries about the liberal media.

Wasn't it Michael Savage who thought that autistic kids just need a good beating or something? This is the way these folks think, they don't believe in science, therefore they dismiss classified medical ailments. It isn't "autism" the little brat just needs to cut that shit out.

Not exactly, no.

His main point was that autism is over-diagnosed more frequently, as an excuse for kids with bad behavior, because parents no longer want to discipline their kids. Just like ADD. He was saying autism is the new ADD in that regard.

I don't share those views, because I don't really have any on the subject, but thats the context his comments were in.

You're right, he actually said
"I'll tell you what autism is. In 99 percent of the cases, it's a brat who hasn't been told to cut the act out.
Michael Savage knows better than qualified, trained medical professionals, you heard it here folks.

that said, judging by the way some kids act in restaurants, some do need to be disciplined, but he isn't qualified to make a statement like the one he made. When he said it though there were probably thousands if not millions of people shaking their heads in agreement with him.
