The "Stay Classy, Republicans" Super Nintendo Chalmers Thread

Wow, talk about cognitive dissonance. Anybody who advocates for PATRIOT Act renewal - pushing everything else aside - deserves ridicule, not an award for openness. There's not really anything I need to add other than that.

RUSH: My god, she sounds like she saw her husband for the first time in six months there. Oh, it's recycling, look, organized for -- these people are in the midst of earthquake devastation and the credit they're getting is for recycling and our caller Chris with a great question. The Japanese have done so much to save the planet. He's right. They've given us the Prius. Even now, refugees are still recycling their garbage, and yet Gaia levels them [laughs], just wipes them out. Wipes out their nuclear plants, all kinds of radiation. What kind of payback is this? That is an excellent question. They invented the Prius. In fact, where Gaia blew up is right where they make all these electric cars. That's where the tsunami hit. All those brand new electric cars sitting there on the lot. I like the way this guy was thinking. It's like -- it's like Gaia hit the Prius in [inaudible]. It's like they were in the crosshairs, if we can use that word, it does. What is Gaia trying to tell us here? What is the mother of environmentalism trying to say with this hit? Great observation out there, Chris.
Remember, Reagan (blessings and peace be upon him) praised Limbaugh as a pretty cool guy who hates libtards and doesnt afraid of ANYTHING.

Stay classy.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it really hard to follow what in the fuck he's talking about? It's like his mind starts and stops at random intervals.

Wow, one face I didn't expect to see on the WWF 50 greatest superstars video was John Waters.

It's a decent video. Of course the actual rankings are horseshit, and there are a number of names missing (and names that shouldn't be there). But the video is a decent introduction to guys from the past and why they are so relevant.

there's a much more effective way to present that same data and not have it look like that.

To make the point, Congressman McGovern proposed banning federal advertising dollars from being spent on the Fox News network. “If you’re saying we should defund NPR because some people might not agree with the programming, what’s wrong with the idea that I don’t want my tax dollars to go to advertising on stations I don’t agree with?” he added. His proposal failed.

Sounds good to me.
Sounds good to me too, lets see how quickly they rush to do it. Wait, it already failed, well damn.
I guess we better just forget about it then!

indeed, but the point of an infograph is to be clear and concise so that even a numbskull can look at it and go "oh I see". With that one you have wavy lines at the top and this color swell going into more of a flat line type deal at the bottom. It isn't until you read the backup that it even begins to make sense.

Ugly.

Q: In what circumstances would the president have constitutional authority to bomb Iran without seeking a use-of-force authorization from Congress?

A: The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation. In instances of self-defense, the President would be within his constitutional authority to act before advising Congress or seeking its consent. History has shown us time and again, however, that military action is most successful when it is authorized and supported by the Legislative branch. It is always preferable to have the informed consent of Congress prior to any military action. As for the specific question about bombing suspected nuclear sites, I recently introduced S.J.Res.23, which states in part that “any offensive military action taken by the United States against Iran must be explicitly authorized by Congress.”

The retarded ex-SNL birther cunt makes her comeback!

Ex 'Saturday Night Live' star slams 'Glee' gay kiss

"Glee" fans may have been cheering when Kurt and Blaine finally kissed last week, but former "Saturday Night Live" star Victoria Jackson? Not so much.

The quirky comic has slammed the same-sex smooch in her column on the conservative website WorldNetDaily.com.

"Did you see 'Glee' this week? Sickening!" writes Jackson, who appeared on "SNL" from 1986-1992. The episode also featured Kathy Griffin as a religious "Sarah Palin type" and Loretta Devine as a stripper turned nun.

"And, besides shoving the gay thing down our throats, they made a mockery of Christians – again! I wonder what their agenda is? Hey, producers of 'Glee' – what's your agenda? One-way tolerance?"

Jackson takes a similar stance while discussing a new al-Qaida women's magazine called Al-Shamikha.

"This new al-Qaida magazine for women has beauty tips and suicide-bomber tips! Gimme a break! That is as ridiculous as two men kissing on the mouth!" she says. "And I don't care what is politically correct. Everyone knows that two men on a wedding cake is a comedy skit, not an 'alternate lifestyle'! There I said it! Ridiculous!"

There has to be a clip out there somewhere of her kissing a woman in a bit. Not that it matters, nobody cares enough about her to bother finding it.

Victoria Jackson is one of the best trolls out there. I don't think she actually believes all those things she's saying, she's just trying to make tea partiers look bad.

EDIT: h/t myke, should've made the comparison to Andy Kaufman. That's what I was going for. Good catch.

The potential presidential contender may have another problem: Mississippi taxpayers paid the tab for Barbour's first-class travel. State documents obtained by TIME show that Mississippi shelled out $7,020 to shuttle Barbour and his entourage to and from D.C. on its Cessna Citation, a cost that Barbour says is justified by state work he did in D.C. over the same weekend. "The trip requests make clear the Governor was on official business including meetings with members of Congress about issues ranging from economic development to energy policy and health care reform - all important to the people of Mississippi," says his spokeswoman Laura Hipp. According to the documents, Barbour's reason for using the state plane was a "meeting with Congressional leaders"; his office declined to make public his full schedule for the two day visit.

Love it. Wastes the taxpayers money to make speeches protesting wasting taxpayers money.

Looks like Claire McCaskill is going to lose her re-election bid. Every media outlet is talking about her failure to pay taxes on her plane. Plus there's that money quote where she talks about Tom Daschle withdrawing his nomination because of failure to pay back taxes, and she says something to the effect of 'there are consequences to this.'

Scott Walker has been doing that like crazy here in Wisconsin the past few weeks. He visited my city four times in a single week at one point, and was here yet again this morning. Disingenuous piece of shit.

There are two solutions... first, we could require that officials pay for travel out of their own pocket (including things like security and such). Or, two, officials could just admit they don't mind wasting taxpayer money...

I don't know if I should add this here or make a new thread about how Republicans are throwing a bitch fit about Obama saying we should examine nuclear power policy.

Just like how we didn't need to examine oil drilling policy.

Or that we shouldn't "change horses in midstream" in the 2004 election.

Or how we don't need to question the war on terror or drugs, or attack wealthy industrialists who ruined the economy, or the billion other retarded bullshit stupid things they think we shouldn't investigate.

No, we need to wait until we've distanced ourselves from these problems time-wise, so that when they are considered "not a problem anymore!" then we WON'T need to worry about them ever again!

Brilliant strategy.

What the hell is he doing in Japan?!?

As far as the nuclear energy worries of the moment, I think there's definitely a wait and see attitude towards Fukushima and that might not be a bad thing.

Earlier this week, Cain gave an interview to Christianity Today in which he declared that, “based upon the little knowledge that I have of the Muslim religion, you know, they have an objective to convert all infidels or kill them.”
If that doesn't say it all I don't know what would.

Ugh. Without reading the full article (which it's not very likely I'll happen to run across a copy of "Christianity Today" anytime soon), I have to say - damn. There's another guy I won't be voting for.

What's great is the libertarian candidates who have no shot at winning are way more open minded and have shown a willingness to take unpopular positions to defend Muslims. Thinking specifically of Ron Paul and the GZ Mosque.

Based upon my limited understanding of christianity, being evangelical (converting non-christians) is a demand made by god so how much different is it to say that Muslims do the same thing? Oh it's bad because they're killing too? Shit, what happened to The Crusades? How soon we forget...

Gingrich is the gift that keeps on giving.

http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2011/...heist-country-dominated-by-radical-islamists/

Hours after declaring Sunday that he expects to be running for president within a month, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said he's worried the United States could be “a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists,” in the foreseeable future, according to Politico.

...

Here’s what Gingrich said at Cornerstone Church on Sunday evening, according to Politico:

"I have two grandchildren: Maggie is 11; Robert is 9," Gingrich said at Cornerstone Church here. "I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they're my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American."

The former House Speaker held up his own faith (he converted to Catholicism two years ago) as proof of his undying patriotism. He lashed out at the college professors and mainstream media he says are seeking to wipe out the Founding Fathers' Christian values. And he targeted the judges who he charges are effectively re-writing the Constitution.

But Gingrich was mum on his own controversial past, one of martial indiscretions and divorces that have made courting religious conservatives a tall task as he nears a likely presidential run.

"How soon we forget" - I'm no christian, but to be fair, the last of the Crusades was in the 13th century or something. I think we can "forget" about them now, in terms of modern christianity. If you want to bring up examples of mass killings by christians in the name of christianity, at least bring up something that happened when people who are alive might remember it - or remember their parent/grandparent talking about it.

It's fucks like him who make me want to move from this country some times. Acting like because I'm not Christian I don't know what it means to be an American.

fuck you, you bloated piece of shit.

edit- For a minute I thought he was at the cornerstone church near here, thankfully it was Texas.

Gingrich: Radical Extremist Islam Jihadists = secular atheists.

Good times.

Bob:

Cain sucked before his most recent comments about Muslims. Defends the Fed, and has a terrible foreign policy.

nasum:

For added fun, killing non-believers is commanded by god in the old testament. It's like Jews or Christians don't know that, and bash another religion for the same thing.
