We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

I definitely want Saint's Row 3, but this really feels like a game I would much rather play on console, kicked back on the couch with a controller. Wish I had the money for that home theater PC I've been meaning to build. *sigh*

No, the coupon brings it down to $19.99. Does anyone know if the GMG deal includes the Preorder DLC and/or the season pass? If not, the THQ deal is definitely better at $23.50.
 
Anyone have impressions on Dirt 3 and it's price at $17? Is it a must buy or should I wait? It also seems like everyone has the game because of it being bundled with grahics cards.
 
From what I've played of E.Y.E. its decent fun, but can be a little hard to get into and somewhat complicated. But I haven't had any problems with the game as far as playing it and so far I'm having fun.

Also got 3 more coal and a 50% off costume quest. I hope I at least win one game before this sale is over. XD

I read the general population favored Dirt 2 more than the 3rd. I was about to pull the trigger when I came to the conclusion my old PS2/PC isnt compatible.

Do you still get 2 copies of Frozen Synapse if you buy it through the sale? If so, did is leave anyone with an extra copy? I am interested in the game and I would be will to trade a piece of coal for it (wish I had more, but it is that or some crappy coupons). Tried EYE. It's not that it's a bad game, but it's just that it's more of a FPS than an actual Deus Ex ripoff. Like you have these powers, and hacking but it's meaningless except for that part of the mission where you have to hack something. Most of the time I am running around shooting the shit out of things.

It's ok for $2.49. Nothing spectacular but I am kinda having fun with it.

Or could have gone into it not expecting Deus Ex and probably liked it a bit more.
 
Bought Saints Row from THQ UK. Works great in the US on Steam right down to the awesome DLC Season Pass inclusion in the US. Very good deal.

My top recommend for today is Cave Story+. I'd buy it *just* to listen to the incredible incredible music. But you should go get the Humble Indie Bundle rather than do the steam.

I mean I wasn't expecting a full on Deus Ex experience, but they give you all these stats and about 3 minutes into the first mission, I found out ok, this game really isn't good on stealth, so let me just grab an Assault Rifle from the locker, load it up with tons of ammo and go to town.

I am kinda having fun with it because it's so easy to mow down enemies but in all seriousness, I was expecting well maybe not more options but better use of the stats.

I just got a 50% Borderlands GOTY for completing the EYE achievement. Does anyone know if coupons can be used in conjunction with sales (not the holiday one but regular daily, midweek, weekend)?

Because Borderlands GOTY goes on sale so damn often.

If I win, it would be worth a lot more if all those games showed up in my Steam inventory as giftable, instead of just showing up in my inventory. If you could find a buyer for the hundreds of games you don't want, it would be worth quite a bit more. Not sure if the rules state exactly how you receive your games...!
 
Played E.Y.E. for a while this afternoon. It seems cool. Interesting world, lots of play options. A few gripes: no spoken dialogue, really crappy tutorial, confusing character creation, lots of running around. I haven't even started the first mission yet...

I quit the game and steam showed that I completed the "The Gift - Pick up the gift." achievement and I have no idea how. I doubt that I'll continue playing the game until I finish the first Deus Ex (which I'm close to finishing).

For anyone trying to get the Frozen Synapse achievement. Just start the game with only a Machine Gunner on your team and nobody else on the other. You will automatically win and get the achievement.

I haven't played Alpha Protocol but to me this feels more like a go around a map, killing enemies and looking for objectives. The game is broken up into maps that are about the size of a large multiplayer map. I don't feel the stats are really all there, because some stats I level up way too quick like accuracy and others are left in the dust.

Plus it feels more of a co-op type of game because there are so many enemies in the levels. The whole story really isn't very engaging it's go up to the guy, pick a option to get an objective then do said objective. It's weird.

So if your looking for an engaging story, fun stealth mechanics, or other things, then no.
