We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Don't buy XCOM if you aren't going to play it right away, obviously. But you should buy it and play it right away - IGNORE ALL OTHER GAMES - because it fucking rocks.

Hitting the nail on the head right here. It's certainly one of the few games that I feel doesn't need to drop in price for people to justify getting it. It's just too damn good.

It's really tempting to upgrade from vanilla Zombie Driver at that price, but I know I'm not going to play through it again anytime soon.

I'm so excited for Cargo Commander at 75% off. Tis a shame it's discounted so low so quickly, but if I enjoy it enough I'll just buy a second copy to assuage my cheap-ass guilt.

I'm thinking a lot of people don't get how these Steam sales work.
 
Picked up both KOTOR games. Couldn't pass them up at that price! I'm not sure how long it will take me to learn how to play them considering I don't play PC games a lot but I'll give it a try.

I know I have mentioned already that you should get The Walking Dead game, but since I have just finished the last episode, I think it's OK to say it again: get it.
 
Silverfall Complete Update:
The Download was 10 GB. The steam reported install size is 21034 MB (21GB) for the base game and 262 MB for the expansion.

PC gaming is very complicated unless you are part of the supreme PC race.
 
I simply cannot be bothered to keep up with everything but all the Capcom/Nyu localized games seem to be on clearance pricing and I like them quite a bit. Satazius, Exceed, etc.

Alan Wake Franchise had a price correction and is now $20. It stacks with the -50% Autumn Seal coupon, bringing the pack to $10.

I'm not sure if I should pull the trigger. I won't play it soon, it's been -75% before, and the base game is bound to have a price decrease at some point. What's the possibility of another expansion/DLC?

For some reason I thought I had KOTORII but then realized it was added recently and wasn't willing to pay $10 for it. Just picked it up. There goes my goal of not buying any games and ignoring the sale. I won't buy much since I have so many games and don't even play on my PC much.

While there are rumors that Alan Wake 2 is in development, AW1 is effectively finished.

Dawn of Discovery and Stronghold are no longer available on Steam for some reason. They are on my WL- when I click to go to their store page I end up in the abyss.

If you've compiled a wishlist on Steam, I'd check that. Nearly my entire wishlist is currently on sale. Just waiting to see if certain things become daily deals or flash sales.
 
I know we're just talking about sales and deals right now but...
I just finished Walking Dead. I've played a lot of games this year but... this is by far my favorite game of 2012... Oh man...

I picked it up today and wow I am hooked, played through episode 1 and damn this is TellTale's greatest achievement. Actually makes me want to check out a few of their other games but I doubt they will be anywhere near as good as this one is turning out to be

Also god damn it Soldak do a better deal on Din's Curse and Demon War. 40% off the base game and nothing off the DLC doesn't cut the mustard, especially when Depths of Peril was in an indie bundle! I believe in you!

Dawn of Discovery was removed from the store over a year ago. I still have it on my wishlist too. I added it on July 4th 2011. So that's the lastet date that I know for sure that it was still available in the store.

As I understand it, DoD got removed because the devs basically abandoned it. Supposedly there were several patches for the game that were made available to people who owned retail copies. But they never offered them to steam owners. Steam got tired of fielding complaints about it and removed it from the store.

You seem confused. This thread is for saps who trade digital bits, that represent slips of cotton paper, that represent faith in the US Government (well banking system really, since the Federal Reserve is run by the banks not the government) for games. While we're not above the odd freebie, your expectations might have better luck on the Pie Rat Bay thread.
