We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

so, how is jagged alliance: back in action? is it comparable to XCOM? and while I'm on it what other games are comparable to XCOM? I'm new to PC games and XCOM is my game of the year by a mile.

JA:BiA isn't as good as JA2, which is a steal at $4, although bear in mind that it's an older game with fantastically corny accents and some humor.

You just missed Silent Storm on sale at GOG, so wait for that to come around again for $4.

And before that was the original XCOM, the pack of which should be 75% again in a sale soon (if not now, then Christmas, probably!).

I have a feeling that I'm forgetting a game... anybody? :whistle2:#

It's not a very well made game. It actually feels more like an unfinished mod. I couldn't even see myself playing $1 for it.

Judging by the discounts it's getting, the developers are probably on the verge of shutting down and are trying to grab as much cash as possible.
 
Ravaged is pretty bad, not going to lie. The guys at Giant bomb did a quick look of it, the multiplayer even in the first couple days of launch were barren. Gunplay looks mediocre and downright dissapointing.

As for Skyrim, I honestly wouldnt expect it to be any cheaper that 20. 20 is even pushing it imo, and would probably more fitting in the xmas sales. This steam sale seems very lukewarm, considering Amazon matches nearly all the dailies, and beats them among many of the other titles.

There's not really any gameplay other than walking around, it's basically a visual novel. I thought the story was interesting enough to make it worthwhile.
 
How's everyone's BF? Went out to Target, absolutely nothing interesting lol. Boondock Saints Blu-Ray for $4 tho haha. Gonna go out again and make some runs to TRU, fry's, BB.

Seems like nothing good on Steam right now since that initial barrage. good thing actually, gives my paypal a breather. happy with what I've bought so far tho.
surprised to see Ravaged at $3.39 too...shit was really that bad I guess. The beta was...sad.

Want Walking Dead and I'm sure it's great but I can wait, the show has kept me entertained for the most part. I'll get it if it hits under $10 probably and I'll enjoy/crave it more after the season is over most likely.

also late, but Sleeping Dogs has been the dopest thing out so far for me. got it last week and the HK feel is jus out of this world.

Just waiting for the Amazon prices to flip so I can stockpile Paradox games. That's pretty much it for me because I'm not messing with B&M.
 
Please go buy To The Moon. I adore that game. The story made me cry a little bit and it's one of my favorite video game stories ever. For $3.40 it's a must own for everyone.

I had this game in my cart and was going to remove it until I read your post. If a game is going to make you cry it might be worth trying out.
 
Picked up SimCity 4. I don't remember the last time I played a SimCity game aside from the one on the SNES, so hopefully this one will hold me over until the new one comes out.

I really want to pull the trigger on Torchlight 2, but I just don't want to spend that much...

It was in a bundle. Which one I have no idea, but I own it and I know I never bought it or received it as a gift on Steam.

So i just picked up to the moon. So far so good company of heroes,to the moon, kotor 2. Figure ill finish to the moon tommorrow night and start coh. Yay for cheap games [=
 
So far the only things I was interested in, in gaming, has been MOH Warfighter for PS3 at $25, Saints Row for $10, and the THQ PC Bundle at $9. Each I missed, somehow.

Was hoping Steam would deliver with SpaceMarines, War Of The Roses (or is Chivalry better? Do either have single player?), Arkham City GOTY, Skyrim DLC, or something remotely on my radar.
 
Does anyone know, does the Steam version of Awesomenauts match you with console players, or is it its own playerbase? I've played (and enjoyed) it along with a friend on his PS3. It's tempting at less than three and a half bucks, but I wonder if I shouldn't wait for it to be on sale on PSN so we can play together online.

Finally caved and bought Bioshock 1+2 for $5 on Amazon, plus the January $5 coupon. I have them on disc and managed to resist $7.49 the past few sales, but at this price, it's worth having them on Steam.

Between ordering things on Bestbuy.com in the early afternoon and Amazon's price matching of nearly everyone else, I don't have to visit any B&M stores today for my entertainment "needs." Will probably head out to the mall late in the morning for more laid back gift shopping.
 
I've tried buying from GMG in the past and for some reason my credit card never worked. However, I just tried again with Skyrim plus the discount code and somehow, it worked! Great deal for Skyrim. I'm just about to finish Oblivion, so it's perfect timing. Got it downloading to Steam now.
 
Too lazy to wait for the cheaper price so I just jumped on 'To The Moon'. So far its not bad, IMO maybe its because my index finger is broken so I've been clicking my mouse with my middle finger, but I find the 'point-to-click' movement a little iffy. Other then that I've only been playing for a couple of mins and the story is pretty decent even in the beginning. Definitely seems like its worth the $3.

Endless Space is 10 bucks over at Gamersgate (steamworks). Cheapest it's been so far, though it might get matched/ be cheaper if it gets a daily deal on Steam.

hot garbage game at hot garbage price...ugh...

I am hoping steam is really making up for these bad deals later this week. :/
 
Deponia is tempting. Steam should have gave it 75% off and tons including myself will definitely bite. Guess ill just wait for another sale
