We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

The Stanley Parable HD Remix got through Greenlight, as well as Postal 2! Hope they can live up to the "spread the word, get Postal 2 for free on Steam" idea. If so I'll be looking forward to that free copy ;)

First time I've played Choplifter since my Apple ][ days... Damnit, now I want a retro joystick... not a controller, or a flight stick.

I figure I'll give it a spin before deciding on the DLC.

Does anyone have game recs for my cousin? He's on 360 and League of Legends right now and I want to start him on Steam. He doesn't have a big rig, so what are some good gifts that run on a new entertainment laptop? He's into LoL like I said, likes sports, Batman, AssCreed, and was into Warcraft 3 back when.

I'd definitely recommend Torchlight 1 and 2. Those games run on anything, are easy to get into, and are a lot of fun. You can play with him on TL2 too.

Torchlight should run on any computer. Titan Quest Gold maybe.

Titan Quest gets really choppy on integrated graphics, especially during big battles with lots of particle effects. It runs nice for me when I set everything to pretty low (except textures), but it still bogs down when there are lots of magic and fancy things going on.

Funny how we're only suggesting Diablo style ARPGs. ;)

It was in the May Hurray bundle, which was a much better deal IMO. Included Dungeon Defenders, Containment: The Zombie Puzzler, Data Jammers, Brain Pipe, Weird Worlds, and bonus minigames (Dr. Blob's Organism, Big Box of Blox, Soup du Jour, etc.)
 
Thanks for the gift ideas guys. I think Torchlight is a good pick for the clicky-clicky. Does Torchlight 2 have a netbook setting? I'll look for some King's Bounty codes and Portal/Orange Box as well. If you can help PM.

Nah. The stories in the series are generic and fairly meaningless. They're just there to provide a narrative for the fights. And the differences between Legend and AP aren't significant with AP being the more refined of the two.

Aye, I suppose I'm just the lazy sort. ^_^ I'd always meant to do so, and never got around to it. Which explains why I have such a backlog of games as well...

It's not direly important, but if you're interested in playing the games, I would strongly suggest you start with the first one. You won't feel like you're missing out on anything by playing Legend first (it doesn't feel dated at all), and moving forward from there is the way to go. Going backwards is a little less appealing.

That said, Armored Princess DOES occur after the events of The Legend. Just because the story isn't that amazing doesn't change the fact that they do take place in order. Princess Amelie (the main character in Armored Princess), for example, is in Legend as well. The games do connect.

ahhh I just impulse bought that bundle. 4.12 is a good price and I didnt wanna waste too much time thinking about it. Im a little sad that the blackwell collection isnt in the bundle. I remember it being in a previous bundle that I passed on. ah well. avseq looks fun
 
Yeah I've been holding off on buying Oil Rush because I knew that it would be in a bundle sooner or later. It's inclusion in this bundle made it an instant buy for me.

The price seems to be rising pretty fast on this bundle.

Bought Indie Royale. I bought it for To The Moon because I am a sucker for RPG's. Indie Royale's are very hit or miss for me. It's either meh or they have a really good gem in there.

Also is the Doom 3 BFG discount a limited time thing or will it always apply do Doom 3 owners? I will grab Doom 3 BFG when it hits discount but I wanna hit it when it gets cheap enough.
 
Yeah, I bought the Indie Royale bundle because I just happened to be awake (because I couldn't sleep), and saw it right when it was just above $4, and it had To the Moon in it.

All in all, not a bad purchase.
 
What an excellent IR bundle! Too bad I already have To The Moon (and bought a couple extra keys for friends) but none of the other games interest me. Still, this is an excellent deal for a great game!

In the past they've usually run through the launch week or a week after.

This'll probably be a $5 purchase for me since I already have everything in it, but if anyone's interested at $20 I've got the discount and can help you with pricing.
 
Purchased to complete my Blackwell series and for To The Moon as I've heard it's great. $4.86 is reasonable and lower than both of those at 75% combined.

Yeah I have everything but the extra Doom 3 stuff, so this is a $5 release. I kinda wish they went with the if you already own every Doom game, you can upgrade to the BFG edition for like $5.

I know I bought that Doom/Quake pack like 2 years back.
 
For those of you Crusader Kings 2 nuts out there (like me), it looks like some of the CK2 stuff has been discounted on Steam to coincide with today's release of the Legacy of Rome expansion.

Most notably, the Swords of Islam expansion is 75% off at $2.49. Sale ends this time tomorrow.
