If Magicka always is pretty much on sale, then is it really on sale?

{scratches my head}
I imagine that on the Paradox offices they must have this huge Magicka calendar, each day has the name of the retailer who is gonna have the sale and the price they're gonna put it for.

What day is today? Today is Magicka sale day!! on Amazon!! and Tomorrow, guess what day is it? yes you guessed right, Magicka sale time! on Gamestop. What a happy office that must be, a sale each day of the year.

So what you mean to say is it's a Paradox game ;)
yes isnt pardox many dlc innfite unknown until the next in the series comes

But does it work well with my guitar controller? I just need some more carpal tunnel-esque pains in my hands by trying to play a game. :fridge:
interesting

I can't speak for the guitar controller, but it plays great with an electronic drumset.
yup

Clearly you haven't tried playing it with a controller. =p
oh have tried a keyboard with broken keys now tried playing with broken keys on keyboard for game that is much pain

That's undoubtedly true, but Warlock is a poor man's Civ V with a fantasy theme instead of historical progression.
Civ 5 with better warfare/combat but dreadful at everything else. Granted they just wanted to make a wargame but I really wish they put more effort into the macro/strategy AI and the research system. Even on the hardest difficulty I've seen the AI opponents do some pretty brainless things like not expand past one city after fifty or so turns. All the victory conditions besides conquest are pointless/too tedious to bother with to secure a win. It's a shame because with more funding it had potential as opposed to the other crap Paradox throws money at like Defenders of Ardania, Impire, Dungeonland, Showdown Effect, etc.

After obtaining all the patches and DLC, I'm happy with it.

My favorite element of Civ 5 is the Civlopedia but its gameplay bores me, although that could be because I've already played 175 hours and don't have the new expansion. Warlock tries to do too much according to some people but Civ V is too conservative for my palate. If I want historical strategy I'll go all out and play EU3.

I bought it mainly because I thought it would be poor man's Master of Magic... But ended far from it :(

Still liked it for what it is, sunked some hours, but it's hard to come back and continue it

If I buy a million copies of Magicka and give them to everyone for free.. will there still be Magicka sales?
I caution you now Spoder, it took me many months to give away my extra copy of Magicka and I had to promise things. Bad things. Do not go there my friend. Do not waste your time. Do not compromise your morals. Do not give away your cake, your children.

Magicka sales will continue long after we are both gone.

Yes, the infinite moneysink that was Dungeonland.

Haven't we all heard the stories of Dungeonland's constant delays and its massive budget overflows. I've heard the marketing for the game alone over tripled Warlock's production budget.

What a fiasco! That damn game nearly put Paradox out of business. The creative lead killed himself shortly after release.

Oh, what?

None of that ever happened?

My bad.

Just got a booster pack for Beat Hazard.  Opened it up, realized I had 5/7 cards, so bought the last two and crafted the badge.

Got a worthless background, worthless emoticon, and 50% off Garry's Mod.

Ugh.  What am I doing.

I know this goes against the 75% or GTFO CAG rule, but I was wondering if anyone knew which site has the best deal on Saints Row 4 pre-order right now.  I remember some people threw around Nuuvem earlier... is that still the cheapest?  JakeNome has it for $35 as well.  Hmmmm...

Greenmangaming has it for $49.99 and it works with the 20% off coupon, taking it to ~$40. I think Jake Nome is in Ukraine or someplace, so his prices are generally the best EVAR.

Trapped Dead is terrible, the UI would be there and then it wouldn't, the difficulty seems way to hard at the beginning.  So I just idled that one after about 10 minutes.

P.A.M. is pretty shitty also, there is just a few single races, I guess it would be fun multi player, but why even bother.

So overall a waste of a morning for me, but hell I got like 80 cents or something.

Only thing to be cautioned about Jake (well not HIM but his location)...

I bought X-Com from him and Steam tried, unsuccessfully, to pull my authorization to play because it was from a different region (post launch).  Nothing was mentioned in any of the menu's about region locking but they tried to and it locked me out of the game for 2-3 days until my report made it's way up.  Steam eventually gave me my copy back but I was burned so I'm ever so careful now.

JAKE is great though.  Lots of good stuff for good prices.  I was debating Rayman through him.

Offtopic: are you guys having any problems with response times for Steam support tickets? The few I have opened before only took around 3 days to get a response. The one I opened last Wednesday is still waiting for a response. I got the preorder for Duck Tales for a price and a few days later, while still in preorder, the price dropped; I'm asking for a refund of the difference.

“Please note, during our Thursday’s earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list. This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by NVIDIA. NVIDIA does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.”

“SolForge is now in open beta! Play for free and start building your collection now."

Hopefully it turns out to be an awesome card game.

Any idea what the daily dela is? Nothing on the frontpage and the news page been screwed up for a week. Would use the discount page, but I don't see anything new and it still has a bunch of entries from the summer sale at full price there. I think the Street Fighter X Tekken DLC been on there for two weeks now!

*checks calendar*

Nope, not April 1st.

I guess I must be sleeping now and this is all just a particularly funny dream.

EDIT: Wait, there are steam keys for most of the games. It's not a joke at all. That means I can get Medal of Honor for a buck. Yes! I've been waiting for that to drop down to sub $5 for a year and a half.

Each game has a separate key if anyone is wondering.

Wow. Dead Space 3 in a bundle SIX months after its release. This is MADNESS.

These games come with Steam keys as well:

  • Dead Space
  • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box
  • Crysis 2 Maximum Edition
  • Medal of Honor
  • Mirror's Edge
