Got a copy of Deus Ex: HR DC gifted to me (thanks Spoderman) but for some reason won't run.  Anyone else having issues like this or know where I can go to get some help?

 
Items in the Workshop are better (and free) than paid DLC.



I use to buy KF DLCs to support them. Love that game, and the developers are awesome.

Fellow Enslaved fan here. These screens are simply stunning. If the upcoming PC version looks half as good as these screens, I will upgrade my PC so I can run it at max settings. It will be a tragedy if this version is just a lazy port.

Are there any more of these screens?
 
Anyone see any signs of a new Humble Weekly?  Bad feeling they might take another hiatus since nothing has shown up in the registry.

I was wondering the same thing myself. The last two bundles haven't had much appeal for me; would like to see something juicy this week!

I didn't see any others, there could be more though. I took them from a neogaf thread about the re-release. On PC we'll have the option to implement some good anti-aliasing I assume and make a really nice image.

Does anyone know if there's a way to update my Deus Ex install to Director's Cut without downloading 18 gigs? Between this and Arkham City, these redownloads are killing me lately.

No, it's a different app. I avoid big DLs at home I take my laptop to the university or a library and let 'er rip. It's usually faster anyway.

I don't expect new textures, lighting, or anything like that, but I expect 60+fps, full resolution, and if there are no AA options we should still be able to force them in the drivers or by injector.

I just noticed that Assassin's Creed Liberation HD is up for pre-order on Steam, is that a new listing? $20. $18ish in Brazil and $16ish in Russia. Releasing Jan 15th. I want it.

I knew that port was coming - didn't know it was listed! Nice!

Even though I'm behind on them AC games (I still ain't bought AC3 + ALL DLC), I'm glad Aveline finally gets a port of her AC Liberation game from Vita to PC in some HD quality.

Looks like AC:L got some decent reviews on the Vita-version, as well:

I played AC Liberation on vita, it was ok but it was really boring. The graphics were good too, vita has hd graphics so I dunno why this is called AC Liberation HD.

I got some questions, though.

Will AC:L PC maybe have higher-texture quality and higher-res support (than what Vita uses)?

Is it running on an newer version of AnvilNext Engine for the PC?

If you like MP games, KF has the best community IMHO. Tons of maps, weapons and players.

Its prolly gonna have high res textures and all dem fancy graphics options. Theres pics on the steam page showing the vita version and the pc one. It uses UPlay though doe hahahahaha

How is 'dat possibruuuu?!?! Was in a Humble Weekly, too! It's got good shooting mechanics and the community is miles better than L4D but it can get a bit repetitive. Until last summer the only mode was wave defense with the same boss at the end. Recently they've added an 'objective' mode but it plays out much the same. if you like co-op shooters, though, it's worth $5.

I finally made the switch over to PC in the beginning of the summer, so I missed out on a bunch of Bundles :(

 
Vita isn't HD, it's 544p.

And taken from the Steam page:

To me there's enough core assassin's creeds to the point that I don't need to play the offshoot titles. Still haven't played revelations or 3, and only have mild interest in those two. I am, however, kind of interested in IV. Kind of excited to see what type of reviews it gets.

If you're primarily a solo player you may find it a bit rough. If you're into co-op, you like shooting stuff, and you don't mind spending some time leveling your character - yes! It's great.

Awesome gun mechanics, great variety of weapons, brutal enemies, lotsa blood.

i partially own a 360 with two other cousin woohoo bbut nah halo games are better!!!! and they live in cali so sucks that i cant play it unless i visit my grandma and aunt which isnt happening for first time in decemeber i wont be tradition all lost my mom and sisters goes to vietnam my dad goes to vegas i stay homee alll alone :( why is this not wiki no more mns fault

nah nope i dont like cod much i more coop person i rather play story driven game and nah it only once every year so i usually stay home play my pc games

I just started playing Thief for the first time with the new fancy mod (yeah, I know, I'm about 15 years behind the times). Hopefully it'll live up to all the hype...

Which mod? I've never played Thief, either, but it have it and t's on my "yeah I should get around to playing that, already" list. I did load a graphics mod in, in preparation for whenever I play it (whenever I get an older game I install any "up to date" mods, like graphics upgrades and fan patches). But that was a few months ago, so I'm wondering if you happened to stumble across something I missed. Btw, I'm playing Xcom:EU. I haven't been hooked on a game like this in awhile. I played it virtually all day yesterday and today.

Some anonymous guy, who appears to have access to the source code, started posting some patches that came to be known as NewDark:

In effect, all you need to play Thief on a modern system is TFix, which includes NewDark:

Install Thief (Gold from Steam, it's DRM-free), run TFix, select everything, and off you go.

I'm replaying Arkham Asylum GOTY, trying to get all achievements.

I dunno why. I just ... started. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the campaign on normal.
