This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

I've had my eye on Tales of Maj'Eyal for awhile, it's supposed to be a pretty good roguelike. Ravensword Shadowlands and Ballpoint Universe are on my wishlist, as well. None of the games outside of Deadly Premonition are well known, but there's a few that are worth buying the bundle for.
u do know im sellin ravensword for 50 cents right

wth... no instructions for GOGophiles?
I expect this to happen to their other licensed games sooner or later. Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Law and Order... probably not Strongbad since the owners don't have their heads up their arse.

I'm still pissed off that they don't offer the collectors DVDs anymore...

I have a fuzzy recollection that Crysis 1 Max was $3.99 after EC in 2012, but I can't find direct evidence of this.  Does anyone recall that? (or any prior Crysis 1 Max for sub-$4.99?)

Hey, The Secret World is the daily deal. Anyone have an opinion on this game?
Me, Idiotekque, and others have posted plenty about this game already.

I'll edit this post maybe later, when I can find links of what we've said on it.

I'll try to keep this shorter than normal - but, it probably won't be that short, since that ain't how I normally post.

Amazing story-telling, dialogue, writing, voice-acting, setting, and atmosphere.

Best reasons to play the game right there.

A MMO for gamers who often seem to play solo - but likely will just run into other players online in the same game-world who'll help out and then they'll be on their own merry way.

Combat might have a bit of a learning curve.

If and once you find a control scheme you like, you'll then like it - be prepared to reconfigure controls, since left-mouse is not an action; it's how you interact w/ stuff. Best if you put hotkeys somewhere close to you; especially Hotkey 1, since you should put that as the action you perform most on a button you'll beat to death.

And once you figure-out the above, you should often now understand thos - switch b/t Toggle Target Mode (for shooting & aiming, if you like mouse-looking and are used to shooters) and the game's default regular mode (combat feels like WoW - just click and attack) - then you'll really like it.

Questing is sometimes typical MMO stuff (kill X enemies, find X enemies, kill X enemies in a certain way; find X NPC's; find X locations; etc etc. But, it does vary quite a bit. Some are investigative missions involve puzzle-solving like in a classic adventure game (think like TLJ or LucasArts games) - those are normally really good. Also, there are some stealth missions.

Highly recommend this game - especially if you can get it cheap.

Has it been on sale on it's own? I only recall it being bundled in the Crysis Max Max pack from Amazon. Though, that was what I was looking for at the time, so I may not have noticed it solo.

Edit: And by sale, I mean through Amazon during an 'event sale'.

What's with the thread spillage?

Looks like you might be right, $8.99 pre-coupon -> $3.99 post in the Jan '12 EC Sale:

Don't encourage this! Steam and Amazon threads needs to stay separate... but equal.

Thanks!

...I tend to be correct on such recollections... I just like to find evidence when I can.

Grr... this gives me unreasonable cognitive resistance to paying $5 for Crysis Max... given that I paid $5 for C3 and got C2 Max in HIB. ...I don't know why this game is so resistant to price drops.

I find it best to discuss pricing in not-directly-related threads. Example, Amazon has a price glitch...DO NOT post it in the Amazon thread.
This is the trouble with CAG Casuals.

...also all PC threads are one. Any real PC CAG knows this.

OH, Casual is it!? I'll forgive you for forgetting the yellow.

Edit: Plus, if anything, I'm business professional-ish. I always wear a tie, even when I'm wearing nothing else.

Are you sure you're not thinking of just C1 base (not max, w/Warhead)?
Crysis Maximum Edition - $7.49 at Amazon dated 19th January 2012

$2.49 after promo code was the lowest price for Crysis Maximum Edition which contains both Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

These idiots apparently aren't worried about getting caught.

"Hey, when we do that drug deal, wanna do a photo shoot of it?"

"Yeah! Let's post it on the internet too!!!"

"GOOD IDEA!"
You just summed up the thought process behind everything that is popular on the internet.

Kudos.

Got my Guilty Gear Isuka and Gun Metal Steam keys from KISS. Everyone that contacted them should've received them by now:

KISS said:
OK. Everyone who has requested keys and provided proof of purchase has been supplied (as of midnight UK time). I'm off to bed now. You may well get another set of keys from GamersGate (or GMG). Can I request that if you do, you hand these to a friend as a gift rather than sell them. Also, if you are feeling at all warm towards us, please go vote for our International Snooker game on Greenlight....oh, and if you really love us, Bloop and Ampu-Tea aswell!

Finally finished going through my desura collection and finding all of the steam keys from bundle games.  My Steam library is now much larger.

Surprising how quickly the unredeemed bundle key backlog builds up.

To those interested in The Secret World and have an Amazon EC credit. Amazon matched Steam's daily and the EC credit applies on top of that making it $5.19:
