Very true. But that doesn't mean that you can't wait and see who will have the best deal on the game rather if its in-store or online. I don't mind waiting a few days after the game is out if that means I can save, say, $10 on buying the game.

I like cheap games don't get me wrong, but I am not going to sit around and wait for some game I've been waiting for almost a year to come out to drop in price.

I think the only time I get games full price is if something comes with it. Case in point ... Gears of War (which Rob Thomas is reaping the benefit of now) and Guitar Hero 2.

In the bigger cities it seems that you can find some place that is giving away a copy of the game in a tournament either on day 1 or the first weekend, so you can buy the game at full price, win the tournament, and then return THAT copy to the store.

I did that with Soul Calibur 3 and Double Dash.

The only problem about waiting for a price drop or that damn good (possibly YMMV) deal is that it may take quite a bit; so much that if its, say, Live multiplayer, you may miss a shit load of the action. Only exceptions are the likes of the Halo series, Gears of War, etc...

I hear where you are coming from. Most likely "Mario Galaxy" will be a launch day purchase for me. Same with "Mario Kart Wii" and possibly "Guitar Hero 3." But of course I like everyone else here will grab it at whatever store has the best price... or at least will PM that store's ad elsewhere.
 
Here's what I want to do tonight:
*Pack lunch for the girls
*Clean the kitchen
* Cobble together the RS/SS
* Start painting either the Z or the GSX
* Play the Bioshock demo
* Play a game of MLB 2K7

Looks like a bunch of that isn't happening.

i'm going back to school again. classes start a week from today for me. only part time evenings, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I just realized that Kayak has XP installed. I could find the product ID for that machine, and install it on my laptop with my desktop disc.

Then, when I'm ready, install it to whatever I decide to use as my HTPC. No sense it just sitting there, right?

I rarely see any of my cousins. This one lives about 45 minutes away from me. He's pretty cool and we get along fairly well, but he's like 30 with a wife, so I don't see him often aside from family get togethers and such.

I only have one cousin. What are the odds of that?

Anyway, Got Madden in today. It's not bad. It's not great, but not bad either. Bioshock will be arriving on Thursday though.

I';ve played the first hour of Bioshock and it's good. I'm not about to go OMG BET GAME EVER, but it's good. I hope it gets better. I think the opening to HL2 was arguably better in every regard. But it isn't bad.
