Since the Target deals are usually of the "your mileage may vary" type, let's keep all the target clearance deals in this thread.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance without making the store clerk unlock the display case and price-scan a bunch of games. Very often, games may be on sale, but will not be marked as such.

BigDirty came up with this nice time saver. Respect his cheap ass skills.

1) Check this thread for games that have been reported on clearance.

2) Go to www.half.com, http://bits.com/ or similar website and search for the game to locate its UPC code number. Its in the grey box underneath the box art graphic.

3) Go to www.schworak.com/upc/ , www.milk.com/barcode/ , or www.upcdatabase.com and enter the code so you can print out the UPC.

4) Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts and search for cheap ass deals!

FYI: "When a game's price ends with 8 cents, further reduction is possible, when it ends in 4 cents, that's the ball game, pick it up cause it's not going any lower. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." - BigDirty

It appeared as though it was reduced because the box was all messe dup. Not sure if it was really supposed to be on clearance. How much would something like this get in trade value at either Gamestop or EB?
 
Man, I finally decided to try the Print Your Own UPC symbols. I already have a few and would have more if Half.com didn't start some repairs or whatever. I want to thank EVERY SINGLE PERSON that started this UPC scan system.

I hope that saving the UPC symbols into .bmp (For some reason my computer saves everything as a bitmap no matter what file type it is) and then placing it onto a word doc. I can't wait till I can go and check out some sales and will be sure to post them all.

Question: Anyone in Central Oregon already go to their local Target and scan some codes/or find some deals?

Hi nickofearth, I know it may be off topic but, in order to fix that problem you have to empty out your Temporary Internet Files by going to Tools>Internet Options>Delete Files (On the Temporary Internet Files section) Once you do that, close the browser, re-open it and you will be able to save all those gif's and jpg's you've been missing.

Back to the topic at hand, a target rep. told me that the PS1/LCD combo will be dropping price next week (from $149. to $109.) - Aventura, FL.
Also, found some PSO (Xbox) for $9.99 in the North Miami Beach Target in case someone was looking.

I'm sure its been mentioned but:

the Santa Rosa, California Target has 3 Copies of ESPN Hockey (i think for 14.99) and 2 copies of Clock Tower 3 (for 9.99) left.
 
Hey randomnatorx what stores are you going to? I've been going to Conyers, Tucker, Gwinnett, Stone Mountain, Snellville, Buckhead, and Sandy Springs. From my experience the Sandy Springs and the Gwinett stores have the cheapest clearance games(14.98 instead of 20.98 and 9.98 instead of 13.98). This weekend I was going to hit the southwest side of Atlanta area and check the Targets there. I'll keep a lookout for AE2 and report back here.

There are a whole lot of Target stores in Austin, and they're not good about having these good things I hear about here.
 
The Rohnert Park CA Target had GBA Eye of the Beholders marked at 5.00 last weekend. They had quite a few, so might still have them.

I'm in the Novato Target every few days sometimes, but not this last week. Their PC games hadn't dropped as much as some of the others I have seen (whatever the currently clearanced Unreal title is (II?) still at 20.98, same with Trucker game.

Does the Santa Rosa Target have the LCDs? I have been to the Targets in Novato, Vallejo, Rohnert Park, San Jose, and Hayward looking for the damn thing. No luck anywhere, though I couple times I got the impression from the staff that they had just recently disappeared ('should be right here...')
 
I picked up Unlimited Saga (PS2) today at the Toms River, NJ Target for $7.48. It had a normal price tag - no clearance or anything. The price must have dropped within the past few weeks, because I remember it being at least 20 bucks last time I went.

(GBA) D&D Eye of the Beholder - $7.99
(PS2) Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist of the Roses - $29.99

Not really on clearance but Final Fantasy X-2 is on a temporary price drop for $39.99
 
Nothing in Watsonville in case any of you Bay area people thought that an out of the way place may be better. Old games (like State of Emergency and Greatest Hits) for $18 and a really bad GBA (Barbie maybe) for $10. That was it.
 
ATL Watch:

I check the Northpoint store most often. Sometimes I hit the Medlock/Pleasant Hill one, the Holcomb Bridge SuperTarget and the Mall of GA one. Even more rare are visits to the Gwinnet SuperTarget and the 141/Jimmy Carter area one.

I'm gonna go pricecheck some Unlimited Saga and Monkey Ball 2 this week!

It's $12.99 used at pretty much any EB games, or try online for 25% off.
 
Just FYI I saw Arc the Lad Twilight for $14.98 in northern IL Target. (St. Charles). It was on the clearance shelf with the sticker right on the game.

On topic: w00t! I got some cash so I am going to go to my local Target and check out their deals and post my findings.
 
I can't wait til Target drops the prices on the current batch of clearance games one more time. Then I'm going to go nuts when they're all $5-$7.
 
Target in San Marcos, TX has one Arc the Lad left at $14.98. A couple of Clock Tower 3's at 9.99. They have auto modellista but I don't know if it's dropped from 21 to 15 yet.

It's within driving distance for the austin people.
 
Hey Spiritseed and other Indy CAGs.

The Super Target in Southport has some PC games cheap. Picked up Sim City 300 Unilimited and NASCAR Racing 2003 Season for $9.99 each.

They also had a whole bunch of price cuts on other PC games down to $19.99. Nothing too new, but I'm sure there's some good ones in there. I haven't been following the PC gaming scene too much.

I was using this same plan and everything was gone when I went back the following Monday (they had at least 20 games on clearance).
 
outkastx, thats because you're doing it all wrong, find a good place and hidfe the ones you want to get when they drop, works like a charm :).

I got Riding Spirits for $2.48 at target Cleveland OH. Good thing it was that cheap... And I saw ZOE 2 and Onimusha 2 for $6.48
 
Links 2004 and Top Spin are $29.99, even though they are marked $49.99 in the case. Just scan the UPC code or ask an employee to check the price.
