why do cats have less rights than dogs? Cats have sentience and cats have logic, just as a dog does (though it can be debated which one has more logic)

I'm just not a cat person. On the other hand, I'd rather kick a baby than a dog. (as TSD said in the "doggies" thread. )

I feel we are alone in our cat support... maybe we should start a cat thread ;-)

Dogs are useful.
Where are the "seeing-eye cats", the "drug-sniffing cats", or the "rescue cats".

Yes, companionship is nice, but really, what else are cats even good for?

They usually aren't even good for that ... you'd have to be incredibly desperate to resort to a cat.

it doesn't matter what cats are good for you anthropocentric fool.
An animals value should not be placed on the good they are for humanity.

The companionship is worth more than I can put a "good for" label on. The cats are too smart to get stuck working, anyway. :D

Antropocentric?

That's a much bigger word than I'm used to see in the OTT. Well done. :applause:

You'd also have to be desperate to resort to 12 year olds, though I digress. ;)
None of you ever saw bonsai kitten? It was a proven hoax a few years ago.

MMM, reheated KFC
I've seen it and known it was fake for years. It still amazes me how many people haven't seen it before, though.
Antropocentric?

That's because it's not a word.

Ok, so she forgot one letter. I guess I can let it go.

Hey, she's 15 in my sig.

I didn't forget a letter. Shrike forgot a letter. Anthropocentric.

It amazes me that so many people assume that I've been dead inside for 10 years from seeing all of these sites.

Ok, so we can blame shrike's usually-sharp-but-not-quite-sharp-enough-in-this-instance eyes.

Indeed I did. I was stunned by the size of such a word in the OTT, I seem to have forgotton that h.

Really Shrike? Is one really worthy of approbation for being largiloquent and obfusticating the matter with grandiloquent phraseology?
Hey, she's 15 in my sig.
Wow, somebody's all defensive. :D

I was more meaning about the 11 year old on your desktop, if she's still there.

Yeah, that fixed it now. :D

Thanks, Sweeney. I know your penchant for such long and luxuriously-lettered words. :applause:
I could spell anthropocentric all day long. I'm an environmental policy major.
Who happens to be out of school for the remainder of the summer. :applause:

Here's my BS I'm typing for my final.
The coherentist theories feign immunity through ingenious contrivances, like there are no non-justified beliefs and all justification derives from justified beliefs. The problem with this is that the coherentists end up arguing in a circle. They base their arguments in a circular pattern, which ends up basing justification on your original belief you are trying to justify.

One of the thoughts currently looping in my mind...

You don't want to say that...
You don't want to say that...
You don't want to say that...
You don't want to say that...
You don't want to say that...

I think I'm right :)

No no, I replaced her with this a while ago.

Or a much bigger one than one of the 120's.

Cool, cool. Sorry, but as you're not usually in the OTTs I don't see many of your posts anyway. SotM is just about it.
