I have came in contact with the final version and it SUXORS!!!!!, The physics, especially in the car are horrible. the clipping problems are problematic. the draw distance is weak. The controls are cumbersome, the camera is out of control(worst in the series). The graphics look no different then vice city. Missions are pretty lame, retrieve this, destroy that, same old same old. The music is good, buy the soundtrack.

At least this thread is going to prove my point from another thread...if it's negative about GTA or Metroid, everyone will be calling for the head of the thread-starter. They'll get flamed the fuck out and the thread locked. If it's about Halo, it's fair game.

Ah well...that kind of thing used to make me mad, but I've learned that the negative reactions are great too. Can you imagine some of these people hate it so much that the mere MENTION of the word Halo raises the hair on the back of their necks? I think that's shaq-fuing great. And pathetic. Love it, hate it, criticize it, but at least they're reacting to it.

Regardless...GTA, Metroid, Halo...we're all going to be enjoying our new games when they come out, and I'm not going to let some asshole on a message board piss in my cereal and make me any less excited about it.
 
my point is, its fair game until you jump on a posters fav system gem(halo,metroid and GTA), then its like you broke a law
 
WSB, I don't know where you've been, but it's the same for Halo. There seems to be a false pretense going around that Halo 2 has a cultural anti-hype going around it, but I haven't seen any evidence of this. If anything, Halo has the largest fanboy population I've ever seen, but that might be regional. I've actually heard very little about GTA, and maybe you haven't noticed everybody hating on Metroid Prime.

In short, I have no idea what you're talking about when you say that "it's the cool thing to do nowadays to hate on Halo." I've seen like, not even a total of 10 people hating on it. That's not a grand coalition!

It's a really weak joke. The halo2 thing was only remotely believable because it had been leaked previously and an official statemet made of the fact. Few game publications seem to have had hands on experience with it which Numerous pubications have had hands on time with GTASA and have no trouble picking out ways in which it improves over the last two games.

As for MP2 there's no reason to hate that other than the fact it isnt 2D and that complaint seems to be the sole domain of DenisDF.
