The Ultimate Warrior's wrestling topic
ONS predictions:

1. RKO knocks out RVD for good
2. Sandman, Punk & Dreamer win the tables match
3. Melina wins the pudding match over Candice
4. Mark Henry wins over Kane in the LJ match
5. Hardyz over WGTT in the ladder match with some sort of run-in by Cade & Murdoch
6. Edge over Batista in the cage
7. Cena pins Khali, dumb, dumb, dumb...
8. Lashley/Vince ends in no contest when the fans start rioting... oh wait this isn't at Hammerstein, Lashley pins Vince after taking out Umaga, Shane and probably something else that is lame, unfunny and agitating to wrestling fans.
I agree with all of those but one. I say Candice wins since the belt isn't on the line.

Oh it isn't? Well then change my pick to Candice as well, not that it matters.

For anyone keeping score, Rob Van Dam won the stretcher match in about 15 minutes. Orton attacked him afterwards, and delivered a DDT on the arena floor, leading to RVD being stretchered out after all with a neck brace on.

Vince must really want RVD to stick around still.

Well looks like I went 7/8, although Orton did knock out RVD possibly for good, I just thought he'd win the match too. Naturally Cena had to pin Khali, so much for him being a legit contender that could actually beat Cena.

Cena vs Lashley... that may be our last hope. That's almost as bad as Bush vs Kerry though.

Am I the only one who wishes Lesnar had never left? Say what you want about him, but he was a credible champion who could actually work. Aside from his faceplant, almost everything in the ring he did was solid...and he nearly killed Hardcore Holly.

Nope. I have said for a long time that I wanted Brock back. The way Vince is though, I am not surprised Brock wanted to try something else in his life. Being on the road all the time with no break isn't for everyone.

No you're not. Lesnar was legit, that was a huge blow to the WWE when he left. Had Lesnar stuck around I don't think the title picture would be so dry right now. I also think Lesnar would be the main guy instead of Cena.

Breaking Holly's neck is a plus too. Lesnar and Kurt really fucked Holly up over the years.

The good news is Lesnar is young enough that he could resurface in wrestling and still be good. I really wish he could go to TNA, as their schedule is light enough he probably wouldn't feel so separated from his family. Of course with the shit he's spewed about Kurt Angle, I don't know if it'd happen anyway.

I know it's probably been posted a million times, but for old times sake, let's all imagine this on Monday nights instead of Khali.
What did he say about Kurt?
He's called out Kurt in a couple shoot interviews. Essentially Brock believes Kurt wouldn't do well in MMA, and is afraid to fight Lesnar. He also claimed that the two wrestled backstage and it got to a point where Kurt wouldn't do it anymore.

I have a hard time believing that though... where's your gold medals Brock?

Well, I just got back from ONS and it was average at best... match of the night was the ladder match to no-ones surprise. Worst match was the Mizark "BIg Drippy" Henry match, I played a few puzzle quest battles during this match lol. Funny thing as we were walking to the parking garage, we heard tires squealing and saw a crowd of peeps cheering behind the arena. It was Cena in a huge ass truck doing doughnuts for the crowd. It was pretty funny!

I dont know what to say about this.

Damnit, I don't know how to do a correct spoiler, but there has been one name mentioned for a move according to Wrestlezone.com, and I gotta say its about damn time!
I dont know what to say about this.

Looks like the airline lost their gear.

Funny but not too uncommon.

---------

On a different note, One Night Stand will be the last PPV I order for a long time.

I'm sick and tired of having it end 25 minutes early every time.

I can't help but think it's a prank of some sort. The only thing that makes me think so is Umaga wearing Edge's boots - Umaga doesn't even wear wrestling boots period, so it's not like the airline could lose *nothing* (though, knowing airlines...:lol:).

Moreover, wrestlers *know* to store all their gear in carry-on. Pads, tights, and boots can't be that bad to carry (trust me, after sorting all my rollerderby gear for a flight a few months back, wrestlers have it easy compared to me). Unless you're carrying a title belt of some sort, stuffing tights and pads (weigh nothing) and boots (3-4 pounds?) ain't a big deal. Now, if you're like Flair or Edge, and have big heavy overcoats, that changes the equation *somewhat*. But these are tights, man. Any wrestler worth their salt knows that shit goes in carry-on. It has to be a prank.

As for ordering ONS, well, duh. Last year's ONS was the last WWE PPV I ordered (and, before that, ONS 2005). I've ordered 2 (maybe 3) TNA PPV shows in that time. They're too frequent and too meaningless to me to drop $30 on, let alone the bullshit $40 they want.

Now that I think about it, I've ordered 3 WWE shows since Wrestlemania 20 in 2004: both ECW ONS, and a Survivor Series (I think). They're losing a lot of money from me, as prior to then, I would order 5 or so PPVs a year; to go from that to 3 in 3 years is a pretty substantial change (around 12 fewer, at a loss to them of $360-400).

At one time i ordered Every WWE PPV. Now I've ordered 1 in 3 years (last yers ONS). I won't waste 40 dollars on a PPV when half the matches are rehashed on Raw the next night or done over at the next PPV. And the case of WWE haveing 2 PPVs in just a few weeks time is BS. There is no way to build for a PPV in 2 weeks.

There's a smiley face holding a finger over his lips, you can click that and for spoiler tags, or just type out "[ SPOILER ]"

For those wondering the guy confirmed to be moving is

Benoit

I'm hoping last night will be the last match Khali has for a title, cause he can't wrestle worth the money he's being paid. I'm hoping they either give Cena the night off tonight and give him a new challenger w/ the draft next week or give him a feud with Orton or something.

As for the draft, I hope they keep MVP off of Raw. The guy still needs a charisma transfusion.

MVP has plenty of charisma, but I'd like to see him on SD since I can't imagine either King or J.R. putting him over as well as JBL.

So... this should be an exciting show, I'm sure there'll be few major developments with the draft set to take place next week.

Although, WWE.com is suggesting Cena's next opponent will be revealed.

I hope it's Orton, just so it sets the worst example possible for the rest of the company.

Randy Orton = Paris Hilton. There are turds in the woods that have more honor than those two.

Wouldn't you rather watch him fight for real? I don't watch pro-wrestling but I thought you guys might be talking about Lesnar's MMA debut. I was pleased that Lesnar came into MMA and was serious about it. Johnnie Morton showed what happens to people who don't take MMA seriously and think they can compete. For those of you who don't know, Morton is a former NFL player that debuted at the same event as Lesnar. Morton was knocked out in 38 seconds and was put in a neck brace and carried out on a stretcher after the match.

Wow =O

I might have to take a look at Lesnar's fight.

This is the slowest this thread has ever been during a RAW.

I'm spending my second week in a row trying to figure out how to make .iso images so I can play FFIX on my PSP. It's not very easy on a mac, let me tell you that much.

Giving them the titles was fine IMO, but they should have waited on the heel turn. I would have had them denying that his foot was on the rope and knocked off intentionally, and had them fight other teams in the meantime before fighting the Hardy's saying that Vince said they had to fight such and such tema before fighting them. At the PPV when they fight, when the Hardy's look like they are about to win, that would have been the best time to turn them heel.

Good match though.

fucking cena

edit... o god.. here comes a shitty ending i bet

great job wwe.. put a coffin in any hope khali had to be a legitimate challenger..

and it seems the crowd loves cena..... gay

Which means we need to really post a LOT during this week's Impact to make up for this. Right Ruffles? ;)

Impact will be EPIC this week....

Chris Harris vs James Storm = KOTM qualifying match

What little I saw of it was rerun-fuckin' city, man.

Anticlimactic Cade/Murdoch title win;
Carlito's a bad guy who attacks Torrie;
Cena beats fuckin' everybody;
Randy Orton knocks people the fuck out;
Santino Marella beats Chris Masters for the 607th time;

...what else did I miss? The only unique thing was Cryme Tyme showing up on Raw for the first time since (I think) they won a match that gave them a guaranteed tag title match. :lol: At least Candace was into it, even if she's a lot shittier a wrestler than you want to give her credit for.

That's awesome, I hope he's seriously hurt, I always hated him when he was on the Lions.

Afraid so, but that's just not WWE's way. You see Jeff is probably moving off of Raw next week, so the Hardyz had to lose the titles now. As interesting as Cade&Murdoch vs the Hardyz was getting, it's already over. Good job WWE :applause:

To think, this Raw was held in Tampa, and I was THIS CLOSE to buying tickets when they announced it.

I turned the channel to see the main event... what the fuck was that? Cena pulls off an FU on Khali and gets ANOTHER clean pin?

And was Khali holding myself up on Cena? You can clearly see Khali is grabbing onto Cena's pants while he's up in the air.

That main event sucked shit - once again, Cena beats two "unbeatable" monsters, this time AT THE SAME TIME.

Just in case there is any confusion I thought I'd point out that Lesnar did not fight Morton. They just had their debuts at the same event but against different opponents.
