They will be getting Super Metroid and Sin & Punishment.. for 1200 points.

So it's official: NeoGeo has made it's debut on the Virtual Console! :applause:

Im trying to cool it a bit on the N64 games since I am down to 200 blocks of memory. My wireless connection comes and goes for some reason and I would hate to delete games in order to download more. Please come out with an expansion...

Alright, so something is up with my Yoshi's Story. I played the vert first level, got all the fruit, and then... it turned the page! Same thing happen with the first level of page two- I beat level 1, and it turned the page!

What is going on here?

WII-KLY UPDATE: THREE NEW CLASSIC GAMES ADDED TO WII SHOP CHANNEL

Sept. 24, 2007
When you take on a challenge, it's helpful to know your goal. Are you trying to bury an opponent under colorful boulders, defeat the evil Syndicate's lifelike robots or rescue a princess? Maybe all three? Well, you can rest easy knowing that this week's diverse selection from the Wii Shop Channel is here to help you take care of all the above.
Three new classic games go live at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Nintendo adds new games to the Wii Shop Channel every Monday. Wii™ owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week's new games are:
Kirby's Avalanche™ (Super NES®, 1-2 players, rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points): Everyone's favorite round, pink hero takes a break from swallowing his enemies to put your brain to work in this fast-paced puzzle game. Players take control of Kirby and match wits with well-known enemies from the Kirby series (including his archrival, King Dedede) in an effort to win the First Annual Dream Land Avalanche Competition. The simple-but-addictive game play revolves around brightly colored blobs and boulders. When the right amount of matching blobs are stacked, they explode and rain down on your opponent's field of play. Repeat this until your screen is clear to move on to the next round. But be careful—the farther you advance, the faster the blobs fall and the smarter the opponents get. Are you good enough to help Kirby become the avalanche king?
Streets of Rage™ 3 (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, rated E 10+ for Everyone 10 and Older - Violence, 800 Wii Points): Just when you thought the world was safe from the Syndicate and its shady leader, Mr. X, they have returned to torment the city once again. Mr. X has developed lifelike robots to take the place of various city officials so he can be in complete control. Now it's up to our old heroes Axel, Skate and Blaze to stop the threat with their amazing fighting skills. With more weapons and combat moves, as well as secret characters and various endings, this return to the streets is one you won't want to miss.
LEGEND OF HERO TONMA (TurboGrafx16, 1-2 players, rated E for Everyone - Mild Cartoon Violence, 600 Wii Points): LEGEND OF HERO TONMA is an action game that puts players in control of the magic-user Tonma, whose role - as was typical for game heroes of the day - is to travel to another world and save the princess. Fight your way through seven stages using Tonma's jump ability and shot power. Collect power-ups and barriers to grow in strength and pummel your enemies. Bring that strength to the end of each stage to face off against and defeat the menacing bosses that aim to keep you from the princess. This well-detailed game's comic visuals and feel will have players wanting to come back for more frantic and exciting action.
Didn't mean to steal your thunder, lilboo--sorry if I stepped on any toes by posting the VC content for this week beforehand.
lmao, don't worry about it! We obviously posted at the same time. I wouldn't of posted it had I seen someone else :p It's no biggie

It's a tough sell for me on Streets of Rage 3 when I know the XBLA is probably right around the corner with online multiplayer... and cheaper.
I never played Avalanche. (*ahem* Superstar, WHERE are you ?!) and I'm sure others have. Is it good?
Its Puyo-Puyo, with Kriby pasted in certain parts. I used to play this game on X-Band. It was a fun puzzle game, but nothing earth shattering.

lilboo, you made a boo-boo. You listed Streets of Rage 2 on the first page as this week's update instead of SoR 3. :p

Meh. Not gonna bother with SoR 3 on VC. Better off waiting to see if Sega brings it to Xbox Live Arcade. Be damned if I'll pay $8 for a bare-bones version that I could get for $5 and get online co-op. :(

Agreed w/ Tsukento.

I rather pay $5 for online multiplayer than $8 for not (Gametap has it for free)

All 3 games look good, but if you're a XBox 360 owner as well, Halo 3 is going to occupy you for awhile, lolz

Also, it just dawned on me. The non-Japanese version of SoR 3 is heavily censored and kinda seen as the weakest of the three games. They censored characters that were practically unchanged from the last game (which made no sense) and the story line ended up getting botched from other changes.
lilboo, you made a boo-boo. You listed Streets of Rage 2 on the first page as this week's update instead of SoR 3. :p

Fixed! Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah, yesterday's releases really weren't any special because USUALLY the conversation lasts a few pages per update..and we only got a few responses from yesterdays! Oh well, maybe next week! (Pokemon Snap?! Vegas Stakes?! ZOMBIES AT MY fuckin NEIGHBORES!?!)

In other news, today Japan got
* The Tower of Druaga (Famicom, 1 player, 500 Wii Points)
* Gradius III (Super Famicom, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points)
* Landstalker (Mega Drive, 1 player, 700 Wii Points)

Wii Fanboy

Nothing really that exciting for them, either. Friday, will Europe do better or just as bad as the rest of us?! Stay tuned!

So has anyone bit and bought Legend of Hero Tonma..?
I'm slightly interested in it, and would like some feedback if possible.

Also, 2 player co-op or take turns..?
ZOMBIES AT MY fuckin NEIGHBORES!?!
Oh yeah, see... about that...

3 VC titles removed from ESRB

KingBroly shares this sad news with us. I hope no one was looking forward to these games coming out soon.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES)
Duck Hunt (NES)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (NES)

Well…that sucks. I was looking forward to all three! While a removal doesn’t mean they will never come to the VC, it does mean they aren’t coming anytime soon.

By no means official news, but disheartening none the less.

The only game I've really felt compelled to play through on the virtual console (spend more than 20 minutes with) is Super Ghosts and Ghouls for the SNES. All of the other games I purchased were sort of impulse buys as I was over-powered by nostalgia. Super Ghosts and Ghouls is probably the hardest game I've played, ever. So unforgiving...

Might as well get Streets of Rage 3 since I already bought the previous two games in the series.

Now when is World Heroes coming out?

I would really like to see the N64 version of RE2 released on the VC (perhaps around the release of UC). That would be an instant buy for me.

Like EXStrike said, Europe got Sin & Punishment today.
They also got Gradius III, and Legend of Hero Tonma

I'm kinda "shocked" that Vegas Stakes is taking this long to show up on our VC. I mean it's not a big game..so I'd thought they would of threw it out there as filler one of these weeks. I guess here's to Monday!

ALSO, Pokemon Snap PLEASE

How good is Vegas Stakes? Ive never played it but I have seen you talk about it quite a few times. On a scale of 1 to 10 what would you rate it?

Sin and Punishment looks like a great N64 game...too bad it never made it to US shores.

Hopefully Nintendo will release this game here...

Vegas Stakes? For some reason, when I was a kid that had a SNES, I picked Super Cesar's Palace over that. Maybe because I rented it then got hooked...

We are officially get 2 Turbografx CD games in October and their prices will be 800 points. There are no set dates for the games, but they will be out in October.

Gate of Thunder
Super Air Zonk

Also, one game for the TG16.
SAMURAI GHOST

All can be found Here

Edit: Wait, I think them 2 games for the TurboDuo, not TurboCD. Someone confirm?

Edit 2: Looks like it's TurboCD :).. lol
How good is Vegas Stakes? Ive never played it but I have seen you talk about it quite a few times. On a scale of 1 to 10 what would you rate it?
To be honest, I don't remember much. I remember playing it A LOT though. I just remember there were people being shady and stuff like that..like a typical casino. It's very much a nostalgia thing for me to have this game again. I would say it's a 7.5, because it's just gambling really.

That and Super Ceasar's Palace were both really fun to me. Hope to see both come on here soon!

Just downloaded my first game since February. Wave Race 64. That game is still amazing. Had a great time playing it as a kid, and while I just went through the Normal round, I grinned the whole way.

OH CRAP!!!!!!
SIN AND PUNISHMENT
AND LOST LEVELS

Wow!

Super Mario Bros.™: The Lost Levels™ (NES®, 1 player, rated E for Everyone, 600 Wii Points): Originally released in Japan as Super Mario Bros.® 2, this game has previously made only brief cameo appearances in the Western Hemisphere. Now available on the Virtual Console™ in all of its original splendor, Mario fans will appreciate the familiar look and feel of the game, while finding that its updated game play creates an entirely new challenge. No longer content just to wear different-colored overalls, Mario and Luigi also possess different skill sets: Mario can stop quicker, while Luigi can jump higher. In addition to the classic enemies already known to fans worldwide, there are also Poison Mushrooms, backward Warp Zones, and the occasional wind gust (which can help or hinder your progress) to take into account. And if that's somehow not enough, expert players can go looking for the game's secret worlds. So get ready to put your Mario skills to the ultimate test, and save the Princess again. Just don't be surprised if she's in another castle.

Sin & Punishment™ (Nintendo 64, 1-2 players, rated T for Teen – Blood, Fantasy Violence, Mild Language, 1,200 Wii Points): Created by the legendary development studio Treasure, this is a game that hard-core gamers and fans of Japanese imports recognize as one of the finest Nintendo 64 titles to have never previously reached North American shores. Its unique combination of English voice-overs with Japanese subtitles (preserved in this version) has only added to the enthusiasm for its eventual release here. Experience the frenetic pace of a classic shooter, while choosing from a variety of options and a number of different skill levels until you are ready to take on the full-blown challenge of Turbo Hard mode. Not to be outdone by the action, however, the intriguing story line gives the game its soul and draws you even further into the mix. Set in the near future, on an overpopulated Earth starved for resources, players uncover the intriguing mystery of two teenagers (Saki and Airan) and their battle against the Ruffians as they advance through level after level of nonstop action. Take a deep breath, gather your energy and prepare to see why this game is so highly praised.
