im sure its been said. But really, a World title match taking place before not only the woman's title match, but a lame ass ecw match as well? Batista must've loved that one.

The match didn't even last 10 minutes. Oh well.

John Cena Vs. Shawn Michaels starts now.

Shawn comes out to the DX music, but wears his heartbreak kid outfit.

The ECW match was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Really surprised me.

I'd just like to point out that MTV cancelled Wrestling Society X, and just ran a promo for Jackass: The Movie and the series premiere of Scarred. Brilliant.

I don't know what scarred is, so I can't say anything about that. I will say that surely Jackass brought in vastly better ratings than WSX. The stigma of it being a wrestling show didn't help it's early demise, but acting like it was only the content of the show, and not the ratings, that had a hand in its cancellation, is incorrect.

Scarred is the program MTV replaced WSX with. It's a collection of personal injury videos narrated by the morons in said videos. Sorta like watching a half-hour skateboarding bails video made up of amateurs. I'd also like the record to show that on the promo for the premiere episode, there's a guy who broke his wrist backyard wrestling.

Scarred is a show about people who are skateboarding / bmxing / extreme whatever and getting seriously injured at it, judging by the promos.

Looks to be about 5 times more violent and imitatible than anything WSX shows, since scarred is basacially about getting hurt and bragging about it like it's awesome.

You know what would have made the hair vs. hair match amazing?

Brutus Beefcake, 20 years after becoming "The Barber" at Wrestlemania 3.

I expected better out of the MITB match. Although maybe I am more surprised at the winner than anything else. Benoit/MVP was great, but it's rare you see a sucky benoit match, regardless of his opponent. MVP was a big surprise in that match. Kane/Khali...not much to say there. It should have been the first match. Taker/Batista...Taker knows how to perform at Wrestlemania, he knows how to play the game. Plus, I'm a big fan and he's my favorite. I liked the match. Loved it really. Batista gave us nothing we haven't seen before from him.

Lumberjill match - I missed most of it cause I blinked.

Cena & Michaels - show me any HBK match at Wresltmania that was bad. This was a good match and the reversals towards the end were back and forth and really fast. Loved that.

As for a score for the whole thing. I'd rank it at maybe a 5.
Decent WM, at least some of the matches were good, especially MITB.

MIIISSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR MONEY IN THE BANK!
Bank!

You forgot the echo.

all around i'd say that was pretty...all right. taker vs. batista should have been the headliner, they kept the momentum up for the entire match and kept it pretty exciting. cena vs. hbk was surprisingly dull. they didn't pick up until the end, and by that point it was hard to get back into it.

The main event was fantastic. I didn't particularly like the outcome, but both did a fantastic job.

Overall it was a decent show.

Easily one of the worst Wrestlemanias ever, glad I didn't sell my tickets

The Kane & Taker intros were awesome, Jeff Hardy's dive off the ladder was insane, Taker beating Batista was excellent, Benoit & The ECW Originals winning was a nice surprise, the fact that the women's match was kept so short was good, but man...

The Umaga/Lashley match was quite blah, Stone Cole stunning Trump was botched, then the final match was god... Cena, Cena, Cena, will it ever end? Not tag titles match, no CW title match, although the live crowd was "treated" to a short/crappy match between Flair & Carlito vs Shane Helms & Chavo WITH Lumberjacks! You can almost tell how great that was. There really were no WM moments.

I'd say outside WM11 & possibly WM22 I'm struggling to think of a worse WM.
Oh as far as the main event goes, I will admit I was proud to start a few FUC YOU CENA chants!
It's Detroit! Get the hell out there and riot!

In Detroit, they call that "Tuesday."

Sorry you feel let down, ZL. Hope your tickets weren't crazy expensive.

I kid you not, the first time I was in Detroit, I had a gun pulled on me in broad daylight.
It's Detroit! Get the hell out there and riot!
Tempting... but one of my friends was already crying about work tomorrow. He shouldn't have stayed up til 7 in the morning yesterday then.

I feel I got what I paid for, the MITB was great, hopefully I saw the end of Edge's career. I think I'm still just pissed that Cena retained. WWE knew damn well that Cena was going to get boo'd right out of the place, and he did, yet they made Cena vs HBK the main event with Cena going over, why?

Why not end the show with Batista vs Taker, with Taker picking up the win and sending everyone home happy. I don't think there was a person in there rooting for Batista. That match was very solid, a lot of good spots, and the multiple false finishes were done rather well. I really thought after Batista kicked out of the Last Ride & Choke-slam that he was going to win after the Batista Bomb, but fortunately he didn't. The crowd went nuts when Taker hit the Tombstone and finally scored the 1-2-3.

Instead, we end with Cena, yet again winning. I was secretly hoping Hogan would come down after the match, challenge Cena to a match and get the pin in 2 minutes flat. Then dedicate his win to Bret Hart! Oh, WM IX, why doesn't anyone like you?

Perhaps I've just been spoiled, I was in attendance at Vengeance 2002 for the absolutely amazing Rock vs Taker vs Angle title match. I'd put that one right up there with Benoit vs HHH vs HBK. I was hoping for something like that, something special, memorable. I knew damn well what was most likely to go down, but there's always that part of you that still hopes to be surprised. Cena winning crushed that and left the majority of the crowd rather annoyed. HOWEVER, this is Ford Field, most of the local fans are used to leaving upset.
man the crowd sounded dead alot during the night.... that pissed me off
I know! Whose brilliant idea was it to open the show with the MITB match? The crowd was crazy for that, then you follow with Kane vs Khali? I liked that match, but I'm pretty sure I was in the minority. The crowd was dead during the Benoit/MVP match, I think a lot of people didn't even know who MVP was. Then the Taker match is when the crowd's intensity really peeked, everyone was going nuts for Taker... and we follow that with the Originals vs NB? The crowd absolutely died during that match. I thought maybe when the Originals won some people would pop, but most people didn't seem to care. The crowd stayed fairly dead for Trump/Lashley vs Vince/Umaga, except for whatever Austin did. When Austin got the "thumb poke of doom" the crowd lost interest until he got back up and stunned Umaga. We follow that with a woman's title match that saw many people leave for the bathroom. Then the crowd got a little hot again for the Cena/HBK match, but still not like they were for Taker vs Batista, oh well. WWE logic strikes again!

I'm curious to see what Kanerobot has to say tomorrow or later tonight. He probably went with a better crowd and is out at Chelios' bar or something, which is where I wanted to go... . In the future, I will buy tickets for 2 people only, myself and my girlfriend.

yea i couldnt figure out the logic of putting cena as the main event and having him win... why do they keep shoving cena down our throats...

i was hoping kennedy would challenge him and win

Amazing show....I don't know what it sounded like on TV, but I was in a suite at the top of the arena and the crowd was nuts for everything except the ECW match and the women's match. You guys that didn't like it are fucking crazy. Batista vs. Taker was far better than expected, and after the slow start the Cena/Michaels match was great as well.

Couldn't think of a better way to finish up with wrestling.

And the "duh" quote of the night goes to....
and that cena entrance was lame.. that was soooo pre recorded
No shit. Next thing I know you'll be telling me that the dance party with Slick backstage was actually planned out ahead of time.

Heh, well I've been called crazy before. From where I was sitting, the crowd was anything but nuts during the Benoit/MVP match and Kane/Khali match in addition to the ECW & Women's match.

I still maintain either ending with Taker/Batista (my pick for match of the night) or with HBK winning would've been the way to go.

Mr. Kennedy winning MITB still makes little sense to me, as he just had title shots vs Batista & Lashley and lost them all, plus Taker crushed him in their previous feud. Maybe Kennedy vs Cena is next? Poor Jeff.

Best match was the Money in the bank followed by the Undertaker winning the title. Chris Benoit vs MVP was decent. Boring matches were the womens match, Hair vs hair, Cena v HBK, Kane v Kali. ECW originals was good too. SLICK was there with Ricky the Dragon Steamboat.
Forgive me for the quick change-o-subject, but Kane....how the hell you playing Guitar Hero 2 on the 360 before release date?
There's a few stores that broke the street date. I say this because there's about five people on my friends list that are playing it. Bastards.
