The "WWF No Mercy Memorial Wrestling Thread" that isn't actually a Memorial Thread
He isn't cleared to work yet, so he just did a quick safe "match" ala Bret.
To squash a wrestler they've been building up for months.

The size of his ego is only matched by the size of his no-- ... ehh... That's too easy.

When Trips and Mysterio both returned at Summerslam a couple years he was a lot smaller then too. A couple months later was big as all hell again. I see the same thing happening this time around as well.

No Taker really limits their options for a huge WM match. I'm guessing they will throw large piles of money at Batista and Jericho to return, but still nothing to add up to the Taker/HBK matches of the past two.

Good main event, MVP-Cody-Drew was fun, and I loved Alberto-Edge while it lasted. Rest of the show was kinda I take umbrage at your previous assertion but cannot be arsed to respond appropriately except for the burial on commentary of Vickie-Kaitlyn.

I believe Cena and Barrett will have been feuding for almost a year by WMXXVII.

There's a Dragon Gate USA PPV preview on Comcast On-Demand that's a SICK 4-way. I might break down and order the PPV(if it isn't almost the price of the DVD).

AT&T U-Verse is reporting that it will be $19.95

Not bad for a PPV.

I'm 25+ minutes into SD right now. Why did Kane run out to help fight Nexus? Didn't they help him out burying Undertaker? It almost seems like some TNA shit.

 That's pretty funny.

I don't know who TNAnonymous is, but I dig their opinions--especially how they highly regard Robert Roode (and Scott D'Amore). I dig their opinion that Tarver has potential, and that they'd

"Fire: Sting, Jarrett, Foley. Hire: Hero, Moxley and Kenny King"

I like it! Jon Moxley, Chris Hero, and Kenny King definitely are great talents.
watching the heat game.. noticed that every time the hornets hit a free throw... a "whoooooo" plays in the arena... have they been doing that long?
Yeah, they've been doing it for a couple of years now. It's also in the NBA2K games.

I had my questions answered by TNAnonymous.

I do like the new camera angle for promos. And, I suppose, I'm now justified in saying: Go fuck yourself, Jeff Jarrett.

We all assumed that Dixie has no idea what she's doing. I'm sorry to hear that we're right, at least according to this future future-endeavored TNA talent.
Considering how much Bobby Roode is mentioned, I almost want to say it is James Storm.
He has also mentioned Chris Harris a few times...

I like how someone sent him a comment name dropping the CAG wrestling thread

Hello, Sir/Madam. I just wanted to thank you for being the voice of us fans, and for answering our questions. I know it must be hard for you. Just know that we, at least the fans at CheapAssGamer's pro wrestling thread(s) appreciate your generosity.

Thank you very much. Hopefully I can help bring the fans some tangible change.

Is it me....or does TNA have the most "internet interactions" between every single promotion alive right now?!?!?!

Seems like every week there is a new scandal with a wrestler talking to the net or a producer or a writer or a janitor....

Instead of focusing on the IWC...they should be focusing on the Nelson ratings...
And, I suppose, I'm now justified in saying: Go fuck yourself, Jeff Jarrett.
Eh. As much as I'm "Meh" on Jarrett, we know WHY he's near the top. It's not as though it's without precedent. See: Lawler, the Von Erich family, Greg Gagne, Randy Savage/Lanny Poffo. Lawler even flat out said it in WWE's WCCW DVD -- when it's your promotion, it's difficult to put anyone besides your self or your family in at the top.

It's not always the best idea, but many owners don't trust anyone to carry their company.
:whistle2:\" ... :whistle2:#
:applause::applause::applause::applause::applause:

I submitted two questions, so far, and he answered one of them...

Do you think it's time for Pro-Wrestling as a whole(WWE, TNA, etc) to move away from the Sports-Entertainment style of Wrestling?

No, I think the Sports-Entertainment style is what seperates wrestling from the at-times boring world of Sport.
Can't argue with that. Though, I wouldn't mind seeing TNA adopting a more-Japanese style of Wrestling.

I still think TNAnonymous is a troll. Why would a supposed "TNA Original" lie and say he was Christopher Daniels? Why lie and throw a buddy under the bus?

I'm guessing it's either Chase or Matt Young.

I asked him about it, and this is what he said:

Why did you claim to be Christopher Daniels at one point?

That was the work of a hacker. I don't know if you're aware of everything that went down but the TNAnonymous and RealHulkHogan accounts were hacked, so as a result the guy had a little 'fun' with it and took away from my credability. Luckily I enlisted the help of a computer programmer who helped me regain this account. I hope this clears it up for you a little.

I must have missed that development, if it is true.

In regards to why Jarrett is at the top... the business has changed, and it did used to be that promoters booked themselves or family at the top for safety reasons. The territories had to do that, but a company that is, sadly, the number 2 promotion in America has no need for tactics like that. No one is 'walking out' on TNA, there's very little danger of a guy walking away from a contract. Unless something happens, like death, injury, drugs, whatever, neither TNA or WWE needs to be worried about the talent not making their appearances.

There really isn't a danger of talent being lured away anymore, as there aren't really greener pastures or more money. The horrendous contracts are also a huge factor. Think about the last time a guy truly walked out... I'd imagine we'd be talking Austin back in the early 2000s, and he could get away with it because he was the biggest wrestler in the world. It just doesn't happen anymore.

So, while I appreciate the idea, that old style of booking should have zero to do with why Jarrett is at the top. He stays there because of ego, period. He can make I happen, so it does.

Honestly, though, if any of you had a wrestling promotion, would you EVER have booked Jarrett as a main event talent? I sure as he'll wouldn't have... to me, Jarrett is a solid upper mid-card guy at best. Thing is, he surrounded himself with friends (WCW) and then founded a company (TNA) which is the only reason he is anywhere near a world title.
Bu-bu-bu-but, ignore lists!
I thought that Chase and M. Young's feud was a work, to be quite honest.

Eminently reasonable. I'll submit that while TNA is the de-facto #2 promotion in the US, the owner of the #1 promotion evolved the whole industry (for better or worse, it brought him to #1) and the Jarretts failed to adapt.

I can't help but feel that Monday will roll around and the video posted on Youtube will be someone sitting there in a robe.. they'll take off the hood and it'll be Dixie.

I still think this is an angle crafted by some new young writer with great marketing ideas. No one seems to agree with me and I'm probably wrong.

If it's not a work... I think it's Eric Young or Somoa Joe... What's ironic is that this person has been fired right? Yet they have the ability to change the company more now than they did when they were actually employed by the company.

His response to the Amazing Red question is interesting.

If this is a viral angle, it's a pretty good one.
TNAnonymous answered this.

You never were in WWE or were you?

I've wrestled for WWE before. I won't say when, where, whether it was on TV or not - but I've wrestled in a WWE ring.

That makes me think its AJ Styles...

He actually answered my question which was this.

Besides yourself of course. Who do you feel is the best wrestler in tna?

It's probably AJ.

Even though he said that...Maybe its still AJ... Ok maybe not.
Goddamn, looks like the rumors of it being Eric Young could be true.

Ditto

I asked a question and even got mine answered. He's really working hard trying to answer anything anyone will else it seems like.

I asked this.Although didn't quite expect that answer, still nice to actually get an answer.Still leaning towards it being James Storm with him trying to throw people off with still answering questions about himself, but with more of the recent questions seems to throw more creditability towards Eric Young as well.

What were your thoughts on TNA's IMPACT a couple weeks ago when it took 74 minutes to get to the first actual wrestling match (If you discount Tara and Madison pretty much doing the finger poke of doom and their 3 second match).

The post-BFG show? I thought it was good. The opening promo with Immortal/Fortune was fantasticly executed in my opinion. They followed it up with a Knockouts segment and as a result the show started to go downhill, though. I don't the lack of wrestling to be honest. I mean, TV is supposed to hype the PPV with storylines and promos and segments etc, so that the fan eventually wants to see the pay-off on PPV in the ring. I can understand why some don't like that, though. Ideally the guys that don't get a spot on the PPV can wrestle matches on TV.

What if it turns out to be Don West? He can always go back and sell Mark McGwire rookie cards on QVC. "BE DIALIN' PEOPLE!!!!! ONLY 2 OF THESE BAD BOYS LEFT!!!"

If that's any indication of the wrestler, it could be Rob Terry. Terry has wrestled in a WWE ring.

Tho, I believe, "TNAnonymous" is said to have been in TNA for a while, or someone somewhere said that. :whistle2:k

Whoever it is, it's awfully nice how they've made time to answer all of these questions.

What you say is true. Territories pushed their family, for various reasons. I also agree with how Jeff Jarrett should be nowhere near a World title. As Mr. Beef said,
How did that phrase go again?

"He broke a thousand guitars, and never drew a dime."
There is something about Jeff Jarrett that I have never liked. I think its the way he works and cuts promos. I know that when I would watch WCW, I would want to take a drill to my head when he would perform the Stroke. It took him centuries to hit the damn thing. That is why I appreciate Lance Hoyt's fluidity when he performs the Scoop slam Reverse DDT (a move with a lot of set-up).
