Hey everyone. I recently launched my brand new personal site/blog on anime, gaming and such, and I am holding a contest where people can win Deathsmiles LE, Claymore Blu-Ray set, Videogame Extra variety pack, and more.

I figured the community would be interested. Contest ends Friday July 9th. Good luck. :)

It involves twitter and leaving a comment on the contest page.

Find details here:

Joined. This seems like a site that I will be visiting quite a lot considering the content that the site aims for. :)

Nice, thanks for the contest. I think I'd rather win that Azunyan nekomimi figure, though ;)

Entered! Question though. Do you want us to post each day when we tweet, or just one reply to the thread and you count our tweets for it?

Only need to post in the contest page once. I will count each days tweets. Keeping a spread sheet has been very time consuming. More than I thought it would at least. LOL But of course, that is a good thing!

Thanks again to all who entered. Just a heads up on the exact time I'll be ended entries. Friday is the last day, and the contest ends at 11:59EST. Also, i have a bunch of entries through twitter, without people adding their twitter handle to the contest page or even following me on twitter.

Have to do both of those to win. :)

G-Nitro, I know this is a tad off topic, but do you plan on having a forums for your site soon? Wouldn't mind being part of this community since I actually buy anime. Nice to see some supporters of a troubled industry.

I have thought about it, but want to see how the site does traffic wise before implementing a forum. :)

Seeing as how the site looks so far I don't see that being a problem.:applause:

Bookmarked, tweeted, all that jazz. Hopefully I'll be opened up to some new anime besides the mainstream stuff I've been exposed to or the stuff I don't remember from living in Hawaii will crop back up!

Today is the final day for entries/retweets. Ends at 11:59EST tonight. Good luck all and I will announce the winners tomorrow or sunday. :D

All winners have been contacted. I'll be posting later who won (after confirmation) on a new blog post.

I've only heard back from the 1st place prize winner. Once I hear back from the winner of Deathsmiles (Grand prize), I will make the post.

Also, I will be holding a new contest every month on the site. So around August 1st or 2nd (after Otakon) look for a new contest. :)

Holy crap! I won Deathsmiles! AMAZING! Thank you so much G-Nitro! I think this is the first contest I've ever won!

Congrats Vulgarism! I didn't get any form of contact so apparently I didn't win anything =( And I really wanted that Deathsmiles too. But oh well, there's always next time.

I won 4th place! I tried to send you an email from my phone. Not sure if it went through or not, but I think it did.

Random note: Claymore was a pretty solid show, imo. Even if you didn't win, you should check it out on hulu if you get a chance. That being said, the show was pretty close to the manga... until the end... at which point I said "WTF?" Of course, I am on the wagon of wishing they'd do a S2.

I have to admit, I am getting pretty frustrated with the impatience of these animation studios that decide to make the anime alongside the manga... and just making stuff up or ending in random places. I know they are trying to keep it in the limelight, but geez!
